Michael C. Linn is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Linn Energy, LLC (Nasdaq: LINE), a publicly traded partnership focused on the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties, which he founded in March 2003. Linn Energy currently operates in the Panhandle of Texas, Oklahoma, and the Los Angeles Basin in California.
Mr. Linn currently sits on the National Petroleum Council and the American Exploration and Production Council. He is a member of the Board of National Association of Manufacturers. He is a member of the oil and gas industry’s 25 Year Club. He was recently appointed as Texas Representative for Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. He is the Chairman of the Houston Wildcatters Committee of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers.
Mr. Linn is the immediate past Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the largest national trade association of independent oil and gas producers.
Mr. Linn is a former President of the Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York, Independent Oil and Gas Association of Pennsylvania and Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia. He is a past director of the Natural Gas Supply Association and the National Gas Council.
Mr. Linn regularly appears on behalf of the oil and gas industry before state and federal agencies, such as the Department of Energy, Department of the Treasury, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency. He has testified on behalf of the oil and gas industry before the various committees and subcommittees of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. He is regularly quoted and has published various articles for oil and gas trade publications and newspapers. In addition, he is frequently a guest on radio and television programs representing the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Linn’s civic affiliations include memberships on the boards of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and the Texas Heart Institute. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Corporate Committee for Capital Campaign of Texas Children’s Hospital.
Mr. Linn was President of Allegheny Interests, Inc., a private oil and gas investment company, from 2000 to 2003.
Previously, Mr. Linn was President and Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Exploration Corporation, a private oil and gas company which operated in both the Appalachian and Permian Basins, until its sale in 1999.
Mr. Linn graduated cum laude from Villanova University in 1974 with a BA in Political Science. Subsequent to completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Linn entered the University of Baltimore School of Law and graduated cum laude in 1977. Following graduation, Mr. Linn went on to practice law for the law firm of Ecker, Ecker, Zofer and Rome until 1980, when he joined Meridian Exploration as General Counsel.

Before joining Linn Energy in March 2005, Mr. Rockov served as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Exploration and Production for RBC Capital Markets' energy group in Houston. With his extensive background as an energy investment banker for over twelve years, Mr. Rockov identified Linn Energy as an excellent candidate for the first IPO of a limited liability company in the exploration and production sector. Following the Company's success, additional oil and gas companies have gone public in similar structures. In his role at Linn Energy, Mr. Rockov oversees all finance and accounting functions including budgeting, financial reporting, business development, financings and investor relations. He also plays a key role in sourcing and evaluating potential acquisitions. Mr. Rockov is the primary corporate contact with bankers, lenders and private capital providers to obtain new sources of capital to finance growth and execute the Company's hedging activities. Prior to September 2000, Mr. Rockov held various senior positions with Dain Rauscher Wessels and Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, Inc., predecessors of RBC Capital Markets. He received a BBA in finance and economics from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Rockov currently serves on the Board of Small Steps Nurturing Center.

Mr. Alcorn has served as President of Alcorn Exploration, Inc., a private exploration and production company, since 1982. Mr. Alcorn is also a member of the board of directors of EOG Resources, Inc. He is a past chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America and a founding member and past chairman of the Natural Gas Council.
Mr. Swoveland has served as Chief Financial Officer of Body Media, a life-science company specializing in the design and development of wearable body monitoring products and services, since September 2000. Mr. Swoveland served as Vice President-Finance and Treasurer of Equitable Resources, Inc., a diversified natural gas company, from July 1999 to September 2000. He served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Equitable Resources, Inc. from October 1997 to July 1999. Mr. Swoveland currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Petroleum Development Corporation.
Mr. Jacobs has served as President of Penneco Oil Company, which provides ongoing leasing, marketing, exploration, and drilling operations for natural gas and crude oil in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, since 1995. Mr. Jacobs currently serves on the boards of directors of Penneco Oil Company and affiliates, Rockwood Casualty Insurance Company, Somerset Casualty Insurance Company and First Commonwealth Bank. Mr. Jacobs served as President of the Independent Oil and Gas Association of Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2001 and from 2003 to 2005, and has served as a director of the Independent Petroleum Association of America for the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York-West since 2000. Mr. Jacobs is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.
