Tom Rabon brings more than 25 years of experience working in government and the private sector to lead Red Hat's government affairs and public policy initiatives. He worked extensively with governments around the world to create market opportunities in emerging markets such as China and South America.
Rabon recently served as vice president of Global Government Affairs at Lucent for six years. He led a team of government professionals in the US and other countries who were responsible for representation of Lucent with all local, state, federal, and international governments. Prior to that, he spent 13 years as a state vice president of Law and Government Affairs at AT&T, and also served in the North Carolina State Legislature. Rabon received a BA in political science from the University of North Carolina.

Maria Moore brings to the GovMark Council over 14 years of marketing experience in the government IT, non-profit, and entertainment industries which gives her a diverse background and perspective in marketing strategies. Currently, Maria Moore is the Director of Marketing for Merlin International, a Veteran-owned, SBA-certified 8(a) Solution Integrator in Vienna, VA. Maria leads and is building the marketing team to help put Merlin on the map as one of the fastest growing solutions providers in the Federal government industry. Prior to joining Merlin International, Maria was the Senior Industry Marketing Manager for TIBCO Software's Public Sector, North America Division based out of their Falls Church, Virginia office. Responsible to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to increase market share and brand awareness within the Public Sector, Maria manages all marketing, public relations, and media efforts targeting government agencies as well as Federal Systems Integrators and Partners. Before TIBCO, Maria was the Senior Marketing Manager for FileNet Corporation where she was tasked with creation of a new marketing plan specifically targeting the Federal Government and government channels. Working with the Government Industry Marketing team, Maria was instrumental in documenting customer references, event management, and collateral production showcasing Federal customers benefiting from FileNet's solutions. Her previous experience as a Senior Marketing Manager for IBM Software gave her the knowledge and understanding of the government market that she utilized over the next 7 years. As the VP of Marketing for the Fox Modeling and Talent Agency, Maria not only was in charge of marketing agency services to corporate clients and for the choreography and production of fashion shows throughout the DC area, she also lead a team placing models and actors in commercials (print, TV, and radio), movies, and fashion shows around the world. The producer of modeling competitions all around the United States and Canada, Maria also served as a talent scout for agencies out of New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Tokyo, and Japan.

Brian Stevens joined Red Hat's senior management team in 2001 and has been critical to the company's enterprise operating system, storage and virtualization strategies. As CTO and Vice President, Engineering, he manages Red Hat's research and development organizations for Linux, virtualization, security, messaging, and systems management. From 1991 to 1995, Peters was Senior Vice President Finance at Boston Edison Company, a NYSE-listed $1.5 billion electric power company serving the Boston area. Prior to that, for six years he served as Chief Financial Officer at GenRad, Inc., a NYSE-listed multi-national manufacturer of scientific test equipment. Peters began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1973, serving in Boston and London in the audit division. With Red Hat since 2003, Alex Pinchev leads the company's worldwide sales, services, and field marketing organizations. As Executive Vice President and President, Alex drives strategic relationships with global customers and business partners while overseeing geographical and US public sector operations. His business and technology leadership has been instrumental in the company's tremendous international growth and expansion into emerging markets.
During the course of his 25-year career, Alex has built exceptional entrepreneurial and international acumen and has led several successful start-up companies, including MainControl, Inc., where he served as chairman, president, CEO, and founder.
With more than 20 years of business and legal experience in the global marketplace, Michael Cunningham joined Red Hat in June 2004 as General Counsel. Prior to joining Red Hat, Cunningham served as Associate General Counsel for IBM as well as Partner and Associate General Counsel for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
At IBM, Cunningham was head legal advisor to the Business Consulting Services division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as a member of the global Senior Management Team for Business Consulting Services. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cunningham's work included global responsibility for the delivery of transactional legal services to PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, as well as the role of lead lawyer in EMEA for this business. Before entering the practice of law, Cunningham was an engineer with Sperry Defense Electronics — now Unisys.
Cunningham earned a BS in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at State University of New York at Stony Brook and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a member of numerous professional and legal organizations, including the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Computer Law Association.
