Dani has worked in volunteer water quality monitoring for many years. He was program coordinator for the Austin Youth River Watch Program from 1992 until 1999, when he joined the CRWN team at LCRA. He supervises CRWN staff, whose purpose is to engage the public as volunteer monitors, address community water quality concerns, coordinate outreach presentations and workshops, manage monitoring site distribution, and represent CRWN within LCRA and among supporting entities.
Mary Nelle (Dudley) is a native Texan, having been born in San Antonio, while her dad was stationed there with the army during WWII. During her youth, she lived in Moscow, TX, and Tulsa, OK, before moving to Houston where she spent most of her school years. She graduated from Milby High, in Houston and attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. Mary Nelle works part time for the Lower Colorado River Authority at one of their rural storage facilities a few miles outside Bastrop. When not at her 3-day-a-week she can usually be found pursuing her quilting hobby with a passion.
Robin began her career in water quality as a volunteer, first with the Save Barton Creek Association and the Save Our Springs Alliance, and then as a volunteer water quality monitor for the CRWN program. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Resource and Environmental Studies from Texas State University. As volunteer coordinator she fosters leadership opportunities for volunteer monitors, and supports research and participation in optional parameter testing, which includes bacteria testing, biomonitoring and transparency measurements. She also provides oversight for water quality index reporting and is CRWN's contact for potential monitors. Robin edits Aqua Vitae, the program's quarterly newsletter, and manages content on LCRA's CRWN Web page.
Theresa has a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Human Services specializing in conflict resolution from St. Edward's University. As one of three CRWN volunteer coordinators, she is responsible for volunteer support and management, as well as public education and outreach. Theresa is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing CRWN events, which include the annual stewardship workshop and student symposium. She is also responsible for producing and updating the CRWN Water Quality Training Manual. Because she lives and enjoys recreation on the river downstream of Austin, Theresa has a particular interest in downstream issues.
