Abhi Talwalkar was appointed LSI president and chief executive officer in May 2005 and was elected to the company's board of directors at the same time. Talwalkar joined LSI from Intel Corporation, where he served as vice president and co-general manager of the Digital Enterprise Group, which is comprised of Intel's business client, server, storage, and communications businesses. Previously, he served as vice president and general manager for the Intel Enterprise Platform Group. In this position he focused on developing, marketing, and supporting Intel business strategies for enterprise computing. Prior to joining Intel in 1993, Talwalkar held senior engineering and marketing management positions at Sequent Computer Systems (now part of IBM), Bipolar Integrated Technology Inc., and Lattice Semiconductor Inc. Talwalkar received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1985.

Bryon Look is responsible for the overall management and direction of the LSI worldwide finance, information technology, investor relations, corporate marketing and corporate development functions. Prior to joining LSI in 1997, Look was manager of business development for the Hewlett Packard Corporate Development Department. During a 21-year career at HP, he held a variety of management positions in finance and research and development. Look was awarded a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1976 and a master's degree in corporate finance from Golden Gate University in 1994.

Andy Micallef is responsible for LSI manufacturing operations. He oversees the company's quality and reliability, supply chain management, purchasing, Hong Kong logistics hub, external foundry engagement, and real estate/facilities functions. In his former position as executive vice president of Global Operations for Agere Systems, Micallef was responsible for Agere’s manufacturing and supply chain activities, including foundry operations, assembly and test operations, procurement, planning, and the India Design Center. He also served as vice president of Front-End Operations and vice president of Supply Chain Management and Quality. Before joining Agere in 2000, Micallef held positions at Fujitsu-ICL Systems, IBM and General Dynamics. Micallef earned master's degrees in general management and mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Don Esses is responsible for LSI Logic manufacturing operations. He oversees the company's quality and reliability, supply chain management, purchasing, Hong Kong logistics hub, external foundry engagement, and real estate/facilities functions. Esses joined LSI in 1983 and has held management positions in wafer fab process engineering, product and test engineering, and assembly and test operations. Esses received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, Indiana, in 1973.

Elias Antoun has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and a member of our Board of Directors since November 2004. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Antoun served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Pixim, Inc., an imaging solution provider for the video surveillance market, between March 2004 and November 2004. From February 2000 to August 2003, Mr. Antoun served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of MediaQ, Inc., a mobile handheld graphics IC company acquired by NVIDIA Corporation in August 2003. From January 1991 to February 2000, Mr. Antoun held a variety of positions with LSI Logic Corporation, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of the Consumer Products Division from 1998 until his departure in January 2000. Mr. Antoun served as a Director of HPL Technologies, Inc. from August 2000 to December 2005, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of HPL Technologies, Inc. from July 2002 to December 2005. Mr. Antoun received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Rankin serves LSI and its board of directors as corporate secretary in addition to managing the company's legal, intellectual property licensing and stock administration organizations. Rankin joined LSI in 2007 as part of the merger with Agere Systems where she was executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. Prior to Agere, Rankin was responsible for corporate governance and corporate center legal support at Lucent Technologies, including mergers and acquisitions, securities laws, labor and employment, public relations, ERISA, investor relations and treasury. She also supervised legal support for the microelectronics business. Rankin has worked for AT&T, AT&T Capital Corporation, and the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine and Moore. She was a clerk for Justice G. Mennen Williams on the Michigan State Supreme Court. Rankin received her law degree, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was elected a member of the Order of the Coif. She earned a bachelor’s degree with high distinction from the University of Virginia.

Bill Wuertz oversees engineering, marketing, and product and business development for LSI Logic storage standard products, including Ultra320 SCSI controllers, SAS, Fibre Channel, and SATA solutions. Prior to his promotion in August 2005, Wuertz was senior vice president and general manager of the LSI Storage Standard Products Division, a position he held since joining the company in 1998 as part of the Symbios, Inc. acquisition. Before joining Symbios (formerly NCR) in 1982 as a product engineer, he was an IC designer at Mostek, Inc. Wuertz earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Montana State University.

Jon Gibson is responsible for the direction, planning, development, implementation, and administration of LSI benefits, compensation, EEO, employee relations, security, human resources systems, staffing, and learning/organizational development functions. He served the company in various human resources management positions prior to being named a vice president in 2001. Before joining LSI in 1984, Gibson managed human resources organizations at Amdahl Corporation, Crocker National Bank, and Raychem Corporation. Gibson earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Hayward.

Flavio Santoni, along with Mr. Bullinger, is responsible for the direction and management of all aspects of LSI’s Engenio Storage Group and its portfolio of SAN-attached storage systems and server-attached RAID storage software and adapters. Before assuming this role in 2008, he was responsible for the overall management of worldwide storage sales and marketing at LSI, with responsibility for the management of sales, customer support, and marketing of LSI storage products, including partner programs and application engineering. Santoni was senior vice president of worldwide sales, marketing, and customer support for storage systems from 2003 through 2006. He was elected a corporate officer in 2005. Before joining LSI in February 2001, Santoni was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Sutmyn Storage Corporation and held various senior management positions with Memorex Telex in the US, UK, and Italy. Santoni earned a degree in electronics from IX Istituto Tecnico, Milan, Italy. He also has completed the Stanford University AeA/Stanford Executive Institute program for the management of high technology companies.

Jeff Richardson is responsible for LSI silicon solutions across all segments of data networking/communications, server, hard disk drive, enterprise tape and storage systems markets. Richardson joined the company in June 2005 from Intel Corporation, where he served as vice president of the Digital Enterprise Group and general manager of the Server Platform Group. Before that Richardson was vice president and general manager of the Intel Enterprise Solutions and Services Division. Before joining Intel in 1992, Richardson held engineering positions at Altera Corporation, Chips and Technologies (the first fabless semiconductor company), and Amdahl Corporation. Richardson earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado in 1987.

Phil Bullinger, along with Mr. Santoni, is responsible for the direction and management of all aspects of LSI’s Engenio Storage Group and its portfolio of SAN-attached storage systems and server-attached RAID storage software and adapters. Before assuming this expanded role in 2008, he was responsible for the strategic planning, business development, R&D, and operations activities of the business and its financial performance. He was elected a corporate officer in 2005. From 2001 through 2005, Bullinger was vice president and general manager of the LSI RAID Storage Adapters Division. He joined LSI in 1998. Bullinger graduated magna cum laude from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering and magna cum laude from National Technological University, Fort Collins, Colorado, with a master's degree in management of technology.

Collin Baker brings 25 years of semiconductor experience with leading-edge System-on-Chip, microprocessor, and mixed-signal chip development companies. He has held various engineering, management, and project director roles at LSI Logic and Rockwell Semiconductor (Conexant), including director of North American Design Centers, director of Mint Technology Design Services (an LSI Logic subsidiary) and senior director of RapidChip Structured Array platform product development. He has managed the tape out of hundreds of ASIC devices covering the consumer, storage, computation and military market segments, with a total device revenue base in the billions of dollars. Baker received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.

Mr. Kishore Manghnani joined Marvell Semiconductors, Inc in 2004 as General Manager of the Broadband Home Business Unit where he is responsible for marketing and product development of digital home products including broadband home networking, digital consumer devices and VoIP. Prior to this, Mr. Manghnani served as Vice President and General Manager at Terayon Communications Systems, Inc., leading its advanced data and VoIP-over-cable execution with major cable operators, and its semiconductor subsidiary. Before working for Terayon, he held the position of Vice President of Marketing at TeraLogic, Inc., an HDTV chip company and Director of Marketing at LSI Logic, Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Santa Clara University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jodhpur, India.

Ekambaram Balaji is working as a senior design engineer in the Design Tool Group at LSI Logic Corporation, CA, USA. Before joining LSI he served as a Member of the technical staff in the Simulation Modeling Group at Cadence Design Systems for more than five years, developing Verilog models for System and ASIC components. He has more than eight years of experience in the field of HDL Modeling for simulation. Ekambaram is currently responsible for the VITAL library development and Sign-Off methodology issues at LSI Logic. He is also a member of the VITAL Technical Action Group working towards extensions for VITAL'98.

Jiurong Cheng is responsible for all EDA software engineering which including the MMAV simulation group. Prior to joining Denali in July 1998, he had been working on various EDA tools at Synopsys and LSI Logic. Mr. Cheng holds an MS in Mathematics from the University of Arizona.

Kevin Rankin is co-founder and Chief Executive officer of Tropic Networks. In his role as CEO, Mr. Rankin sets the strategic direction for Tropic Networks and focuses on driving the telecom and cable markets to standardize on flexible, intelligent optics for their metro-regional transport networks. Mr. Rankin has built a strong team, actively recruiting not only the top optics experts in the industry but also key business leaders who serve on Tropic's Board of Directors to ensure the company's ultimate success. Most recently, he co-founded and served as Vice-President of the Broadband Copper Access division at Newbridge Networks. In this role, Mr. Rankin built and led a large team of people that catapulted Newbridge into a new line of business and ultimately secured the company's largest customer. During Alcatel-Newbridge amalgamation planning, Mr. Rankin assumed the role of Co-Chair, Broadband Copper Access merger team and saw the successful integration of all aspects of the business between the two companies. Mr. Rankin's extensive career spans over 20 years in the telecom industry and includes progressively senior positions with LSI Logic Corporation and Nortel Networks Inc. He received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering and Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. A frequent industry speaker, Mr. Rankin serves on the Advisory Board of the Canadian Executive Development Series.

Richard Solomon is an IC Design Engineer with LSI Logic's Storage Standard Products Division in Colorado. Richard has been involved in the development of PCI chips dating back to the NCR 53C810 and pre-1.0 versions of the PCI spec. He led the development of the PCI-X interface cores used in LSI's Ultra320 SCSI, SAS, and Fibre Channel chips. Most recently, Richard was the architect of the PCI Express x8 interface core used in LSI's SAS and 4G Fibre chips. He serves on the PCI-SIG board of directors, holding the offices of Vice President and Secretary, and continues to represent LSI on wide variety of PCI workgroups. Richard holds a BSEE from Rice University and fourteen US Patents, of which six relate to PCI technology.

Mr. Sandoval has over 20 years of sales, marketing and engineering experience in the semiconductor industry. He is a veteran of LSI Logic, where he most recently directed LSI's worldwide ASIC and RapidChip engineering organization. Mr. Sandoval also served as LSI Logic's Vice President and General Manager of Communications Products where he was responsible for the strategic marketing, definition and development of the company's communications products including IP cores, standard products, and its structured ASIC product. In addition to assuming the role of chief executive, Mr. Sandoval will also join the board of directors. Devadas Varma, Calypto founder, remains on the board and takes on the role of Chief Strategy Officer responsible for business development and setting strategic direction for the company. "Tom brings a unique business perspective to Calypto," said Devadas Varma, "I look forward to working with Tom to guide Calypto past the traditional boundaries of an EDA startup."

Mr. Reyes has served as the Company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors since May 2007. Mr. Reyes has been a private investor and management consultant since 1994. He co-founded Sunward Technologies in 1985 and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until 1994. Mr. Reyes serves on the board of directors of Dialog Semiconductor and Seagate Technology. Mr. Reyes also served as a director of Engenio Information Technologies, Inc., a former subsidiary of the Company, from April 2004 to October 2005.

John Miner is a venture capitalist and a managing director at Pivotal Investments, focused on investing in companies developing clean technologies for the sustainable economy. He is the former President of Intel Capital, Intel’s strategic investment arm, and was an Intel corporate vice president. Prior to Intel Capital, John was instrumental in leading Intel's entry into new market segments as an Intel Vice President and General Manager of the Communications Products Group, the Enterprise Server Group, and General Manager of Intel's desktop motherboard and PC building-blocks business. John joined Intel in 1983. John currently serves on the boards of Avnera and END Outdoor. He is also an investor in and advisor to numerous early stage enterprises and a Trustee for the Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation.

As vice chairman of Ernst & Young LLP, Mr. Strachan was responsible for the oversight of more than 2000 professionals serving clients in the technology, life science, real estate, distribution, manufacturing and asset management areas across a geographic region spanning from San Jose, California to Seattle, Washington. Additionally, he served as a member of their US and Americas Executive Boards. He joined EY in 1976, holding increasingly responsible positions and becoming vice chairman and area managing partner in 2000. He retired in December, 2008.

Michael J. Mancuso, 66, has been Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Computer Sciences Corporation, a provider of information technology and business process outsourcing and information technology and professional services, since December 2008. He was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of General Dynamics Corporation. He joined General Dynamics in 1993 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for General Dynamics Land Systems, Inc., and was promoted to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1994. Before joining General Dynamics, Mr. Mancuso spent seven years with United Technologies. His background also includes 21 years with General Electric. Mr. Mancuso is a director of LSI Corporation and the Shaw Group Inc. Mr. Mancuso has been a director of SPX since 2005.

Richard S. Hill has been Novellus' chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors since 1993. He was appointed chairman of the board in May 1996. Before joining Novellus, Mr. Hill spent 12 years at Tektronix, Inc., where he held a variety of positions, including president of Tektronix Development Company, vice president of the Test and Measurement Group and president of Tektronix Components Corporation. Prior to joining Tektronix, he held engineering management positions at General Electric, Motorola and Hughes Aircraft Company. Mr. Hill holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in business administration from Syracuse University. He is a board member of the University of Illinois Foundation and serves on the boards of LSI and Arrow Electronics.

Ms. Whitney is a former IBM Corporation executive who most recently served as General Manager, IBM System x, retiring from the company in 2007. From 2001 to 2007, Ms. Whitney directed and managed IBM’s global x86-based server division, holding profit and loss responsibility and overseeing the product development, sales, marketing and manufacturing functions. She has also held executive positions with the IBM Server Group, IBM Asia Pacific and IBM Midwest organizations during her tenure with IBM, which began in 1972.
