Abhi Talwalkar was appointed LSI president and chief executive officer in May 2005 and was elected to the company's board of directors at the same time. Talwalkar joined LSI from Intel Corporation, where he served as vice president and co-general manager of the Digital Enterprise Group, which is comprised of Intel's business client, server, storage, and communications businesses. Previously, he served as vice president and general manager for the Intel Enterprise Platform Group. In this position he focused on developing, marketing, and supporting Intel business strategies for enterprise computing. Prior to joining Intel in 1993, Talwalkar held senior engineering and marketing management positions at Sequent Computer Systems (now part of IBM), Bipolar Integrated Technology Inc., and Lattice Semiconductor Inc.
Talwalkar received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1985.

Mr. Antoun served as a Director of HPL Technologies, Inc. from August 2000 to December 2005, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of HPL Technologies, Inc. from July 2002 to December 2005. Rankin serves LSI and its board of directors as corporate secretary in addition to managing the company's legal, intellectual property licensing and stock administration organizations.
Rankin joined LSI in 2007 as part of the merger with Agere Systems where she was executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.
Prior to Agere, Rankin was responsible for corporate governance and corporate center legal support at Lucent Technologies, including mergers and acquisitions, securities laws, labor and employment, public relations, ERISA, investor relations and treasury. She also supervised legal support for the microelectronics business.
Rankin has worked for AT&T, AT&T Capital Corporation, and the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine and Moore. She was a clerk for Justice G. Mennen Williams on the Michigan State Supreme Court.

Flavio Santoni, along with Mr. Bullinger, is responsible for the direction and management of all aspects of LSI’s Engenio Storage Group and its portfolio of SAN-attached storage systems and server-attached RAID storage software and adapters. Before assuming this role in 2008, he was responsible for the overall management of worldwide storage sales and marketing at LSI, with responsibility for the management of sales, customer support, and marketing of LSI storage products, including partner programs and application engineering. Santoni was senior vice president of worldwide sales, marketing, and customer support for storage systems from 2003 through 2006. He was elected a corporate officer in 2005. Before joining LSI in February 2001, Santoni was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Sutmyn Storage Corporation and held various senior management positions with Memorex Telex in the US, UK, and Italy.
Santoni earned a degree in electronics from IX Istituto Tecnico, Milan, Italy. He also has completed the Stanford University AeA/Stanford Executive Institute program for the management of high technology companies.

Kevin Rankin is co-founder and Chief Executive officer of Tropic Networks. In his role as CEO, Mr. Rankin sets the strategic direction for Tropic Networks and focuses on driving the telecom and cable markets to standardize on flexible, intelligent optics for their metro-regional transport networks. Mr. Rankin has built a strong team, actively recruiting not only the top optics experts in the industry but also key business leaders who serve on Tropic's Board of Directors to ensure the company's ultimate success. Most recently, he co-founded and served as Vice-President of the Broadband Copper Access division at Newbridge Networks. In this role, Mr. Rankin built and led a large team of people that catapulted Newbridge into a new line of business and ultimately secured the company's largest customer. During Alcatel-Newbridge amalgamation planning, Mr. Rankin assumed the role of Co-Chair, Broadband Copper Access merger team and saw the successful integration of all aspects of the business between the two companies. Mr. Rankin's extensive career spans over 20 years in the telecom industry and includes progressively senior positions with LSI Logic Corporation and Nortel Networks Inc. He received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering and Management from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. A frequent industry speaker, Mr. Rankin serves on the Advisory Board of the Canadian Executive Development Series.

Richard Solomon is an IC Design Engineer with LSI Logic's Storage Standard Products Division in Colorado. Richard has been involved in the development of PCI chips dating back to the NCR 53C810 and pre-1.0 versions of the PCI spec. He led the development of the PCI-X interface cores used in LSI's Ultra320 SCSI, SAS, and Fibre Channel chips. Most recently, Richard was the architect of the PCI Express x8 interface core used in LSI's SAS and 4G Fibre chips. He serves on the PCI-SIG board of directors, holding the offices of Vice President and Secretary, and continues to represent LSI on wide variety of PCI workgroups. Richard holds a BSEE from Rice University and fourteen US Patents, of which six relate to PCI technology.

Mr. Sandoval has over 20 years of sales, marketing and engineering experience in the semiconductor industry. He is a veteran of LSI Logic, where he most recently directed LSI's worldwide ASIC and RapidChip engineering organization. Mr. Sandoval also served as LSI Logic's Vice President and General Manager of Communications Products where he was responsible for the strategic marketing, definition and development of the company's communications products including IP cores, standard products, and its structured ASIC product. In addition to assuming the role of chief executive, Mr. Sandoval will also join the board of directors. Devadas Varma, Calypto founder, remains on the board and takes on the role of Chief Strategy Officer responsible for business development and setting strategic direction for the company. Mancuso, 66, has been Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Computer Sciences Corporation, a provider of information technology and business process outsourcing and information technology and professional services, since December 2008. Richard S. Hill has been Novellus' chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors since 1993. He was appointed chairman of the board in May 1996.
Before joining Novellus, Mr. Hill spent 12 years at Tektronix, Inc., where he held a variety of positions, including president of Tektronix Development Company, vice president of the Test and Measurement Group and president of Tektronix Components Corporation. Ms. Whitney is a former IBM Corporation executive who most recently served as General Manager, IBM System x, retiring from the company in 2007. From 2001 to 2007, Ms. Whitney directed and managed IBM’s global x86-based server division, holding profit and loss responsibility and overseeing the product development, sales, marketing and manufacturing functions. She has also held executive positions with the IBM Server Group, IBM Asia Pacific and IBM Midwest organizations during her tenure with IBM, which began in 1972.
