James L. Hambrick is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of The Lubrizol Corporation. Mr. Hambrick joined Lubrizol as a co-operative education student in 1973 and was hired full time in 1978. His career has encompassed a variety of responsible positions in operations, marketing, technology and business development. During the 1990s, Mr. Hambrick led market development activities in the former Soviet Union and China. He was elected vice president of Asia Pacific in April 2000, president in January 2003, chief executive officer in April 2004 and chairman of the board in January 2005.
He received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1978. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and serves on the boards of the American Chemistry Council, Hospice of Western Reserve, University Hospital Health Systems, Greater Cleveland Partnership and Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education.

Charles P. Cooley is senior vice president and chief financial officer of The Lubrizol Corporation. Mr. Cooley joined Lubrizol in 1998 as vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer. He was appointed to senior vice president in July 2004. Mr. Cooley has played an integral role in creating Lubrizol’s corporate planning and development function, which has resulted in an increase in the company’s acquisition activity, most notably the 2004 acquisition of Noveon International, Inc. He leads Lubrizol’s financing initiatives and plays a major role representing the company with the investment community. Mr. Cooley also has implemented a proactive program to enhance career development within the Lubrizol finance division. From 1978 to 1981, he was a commercial loan officer with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York City. Immediately prior to joining Lubrizol, Mr. Cooley spent 15 years with Atlantic Richfield Company in Los Angeles, where he served in various roles, including vice president, finance of ARCO Products Company and assistant treasurer for corporate finance.
He received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Yale University in 1978 and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1983. Mr. Cooley serves as trustee and treasurer of Hawken School and is on the board of directors and chairs the audit committee of Modine Manufacturing Company.

Gregory R. Lewis is corporate vice president, global risk management and chief ethics officer of The Lubrizol Corporation. Mr. Lewis joined Lubrizol in 1984 as a process development engineer. Throughout his Lubrizol career he has held a variety of positions, including assistant to the general counsel responsible for key legal matters for the corporation and assistant secretary to the Lubrizol board of directors, as well as secretary to the audit committee. He also served as vice president of Asia Pacific, residing in Singapore, responsible for developing growth strategies for the region with a focus on China and India. From June 2004 to September 2008, Mr. Lewis served as vice president and general counsel for Lubrizol Advanced Materials, leading the resolution of all legal matters for the segment and served as deputy general counsel for the corporation from June 2007 to September 2008.
Mr. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Purdue University and a Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Law Council of the Manufacturers’ Alliance and the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association. Mr. Lewis is a regular speaker on ethics topics to audiences outside of Lubrizol. He also teaches leadership skills to Northeast Ohio high school students.

Stephen F. Kirk is senior vice president and chief operating officer of The Lubrizol Corporation. Mr. Kirk joined Lubrizol in 1972. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of roles in process engineering, sales and sales management. Mr. Kirk has also worked at several company facilities, including European headquarters in London, England. In December 1993, Mr. Kirk was elected vice president of the corporation, and in April 2004, he was elected senior vice president and appointed president of Lubrizol Additives. Daniel L. Sheets is corporate vice president and president of Lubrizol Additives. He joined Lubrizol in 1984. He has held a variety of sales, sales management, business and general management roles, including involvement in several acquisitions, which led to a three-year assignment in Germany. From 2005 to September 2008, Mr. Sheets served as vice president of sales for Lubrizol Additives. Prior to that, he was vice president for engine additives and also served as global business manager for fuels, refinery and oilfield products.

Joseph W. Bauer is vice president and general counsel of The Lubrizol Corporation. He joined Lubrizol in 1985 to manage the company’s litigation matters. In 1991, he was named general counsel and was elected as an officer in 1992. Since then, he has been responsible for managing the legal affairs of Lubrizol and its wholly owned subsidiaries and affiliates around the world. Larry D. Norwood is corporate vice president of operations. He joined Lubrizol in 1973 as a co-operative education student while attending Lamar University. He has had various assignments in Texas and Ohio in plant production operation, maintenance and technology. From 1982 to 1986, he worked on the corporate technical and operations staff with responsibilities for dispersants, polymers, viscosity index improvers and friction modifiers. Mr. Norwood was general manager for the Texas plants from 1998 to 2003, and served as vice president of Lubrizol Additives operations from April 2004 until September 2008.

Patrick H. Saunier is vice president of information solutions and business processes for The Lubrizol Corporation. Mr. Saunier joined Lubrizol’s manufacturing facility in Rouen, France in 1981. Robert T. Graf is corporate vice president, research and development. He joined Lubrizol in 1985. In 2004, prior to assuming his current role, Dr. Graf was the division head of North American R&D and testing for Lubrizol. Holly has over 25 years' experience in business planning and information technology in chemical industries. She is most recently responsible for spearheading the start up of Lubrizol's first two commercial business-to-business Web sites, Chevron and Lubrizol Express. With Chris Schmid, she founded Lubrizol K2M learning and educational marketing services business. Holly has led numerous long-term business planning and visioning initiatives at Lubrizol. Starting as a research chemist, Mike has progressed through a series of technical and commercial management positions. Mike joined Lubrizol in 1998 as part of the acquisition of Adibis from BP. He has great international experience and has recently focused on new venture business projects. Mike is Regional Business Manager for Custom Solutions, a new group in Lubrizol that provides a variety of services based on knowledge of lubricants. One of these services is Knowledge to Market (K2M) online lubricants training, where Mike is responsible for the development of this business in Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. Based in the UK, Mike has been responsible for the uptake of K2M in 25 countries outside North America. He has had particular success in arranging, customized training projects for major international lubricant marketers like Total and Kuwait Petroleum. His educational interests include presenting the Lubricant Additives Chemistry lecture on the annual Energy Institute 'Introduction to Lubricants' course and being a Business Advisor to teams participating in a Young Enterprise project for schools. Previously he has been a school-link officer for BP. He has written 10 technical papers for industry conferences and provided product training to additive sales teams.

Phillip C. Widman, age 54, has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Terex Corporation, a diversified global manufacturing business, since 2002. Prior to joining Terex, Mr. Widman served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Philip Services Corporation, an industrial outsourcing and metal services company, from 1998 to 2001, and as an independent consultant from 2001 to 2002. Prior to joining Philip Services, Mr. Widman worked at Asea Brown Boveri Ltd. (ABB) for 11 years in various financial and operational capacities in the transportation, power generation and power distribution businesses. During his last two years at ABB, he served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Supply Management of its diverse businesses in the United States. Additionally, Mr. Widman’s experience includes 12 years with Unisys Corporation in a variety of financial roles. Mr. Widman holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A from Eastern Michigan University. He became a Lubrizol director in November 2008.

"In this position, Mr. Abernathy leads the company's personal care and consumer tissue businesses in North America and Europe, home to some of the most recognized and trusted brands, including Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex, Depend, Kleenex, Andrex and Scott. He is also responsible for the corporation's North Atlantic customer development and supply chain organizations as well as K-C’s Global Nonwovens business.
Prior to being named to his current position, Mr. Abernathy served as Group President of Developing & Emerging Markets, leading the company's businesses in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa to ensure that the company's resources are focused on the best growth opportunities in these regions, including value-tier diapers, light-end incontinence and Health Care products.
Mr. Abernathy joined Kimberly-Clark in 1982 as a research scientist and later held management positions in the company's diaper and tissue operations. He held plant manager positions at Beech Island, S.C., and Jenks, Okla., before being named Vice President of Diaper Operations in 1992. He was elected Managing Director for Kimberly-Clark Australia the following year. In 1996, he was elected Group President - Kimberly-Clark, appointed Group President – Business-to-Business in 1998 and served in his previous position since 2004.
Mr. Abernathy was born in San Marcos, Texas, in 1954. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama and a master's degree from the Institute of Paper Chemistry.
