Denise Leslie, affectionately known as "Fluffy" to the chorus, is excited to be serving once again as their Secretary. Although she has often served as a volunteer secretary for church organizations, and has been active in various capacities in community theaters since 1977, she especially enjoys volunteering for the Chorus. While the guys are on stage, she is the one, as their Stage Manager, tending to their needs backstage and preparing for the next "shtick", prop need, or scene change. She is also the Chorus Volunteer Coordinator and archivist. During the week, Denise is a registered dietitian at Lutheran Hospital. She is a member and President of Hope Lutheran Church in Cleveland Heights and the convener of the Cleveland Chapter of Lutherans Concerned, a chapter of the international Lutheran organization that advocates within the church for GLBT people of faith and their families.

Euanna Holloway went to her heavenly reward Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 1:35 a.m. She was the daughter of Bert Martin Thorn and Pearl Claudine (Armfield) Thorn. She is survived by her 4 daughters: Tawne (George) Cecil of Merriam, Tammy (Jim) Byerley of Ft. Wayne, Terry (Joe) Boggs of New Albany, IN and Tina (Tom) Riggle of Huntington, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Dorothy Powell of the Heritage of Huntington and a brother Virgil (Louise) Thorn of Huntington as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother E. Eugene Thorn. Euanna was born and raised on Kintz St. in Huntington where the family lived for over 60 years. After her marriage she moved to Ft. Wayne for 23 years. She was active in her church all through the years as a soloist for churches, weddings and funerals. She wrote articles and was a speaker for Ladies' Retreats. She was in charge of many Vacation Bible Schools and programs in her church as well. In those early years she worked for the bookstore at the Missionary Church Headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. She lived in North Manchester for a few years and worked at Heckman Bindery. She loved music, art and oil painting. Many people have received her beautiful paintings. She also enjoyed gardening and her beautiful flowers, and watching the birds she fed in her many backyard feeders. Euanna and her youngest daughter, Tina, moved back to Huntington in 1977. She managed the Bookstore at the United Brethren Church Headquarters for 19 years retiring March 1, 1996. She was a member of the Kilsoquah American Business Woman and named Woman of the Year, 1998. For the last 13 years she has volunteered at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne as the hostess in the family waiting room for Medical/Surgical I.C.U., ministering to families in need. Several of those families have become life long friends keeping contact and ministering to her in her last days. After being diagnosed with incurable cancer May 16, 2007, she never wavered in her faith but was often heard to say. "I'm in God's hands." Most important in her life were her family. She was very proud of them. Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, IN.
