With more than 20 years in management in the healthcare field, Nola has developed the skills to help lead organizations to safer, more efficient workplaces. Nola's philosophy helps organizations with limited resources build a work environment that values workers as important assets to the organization. As a Vice President for Operations of a long-term care organization, Nola led an effort that reversed what had been a poor safety record. Not only were the organization's workers' comp costs reduced by more than half but the program was also cited by OSHA as a shining example of safety in a long-term care facility. The Wall Street Journal was among those publications that took note of the organization's accomplishments. The key to Nola's efforts was simply to instill in the organization the philosophy that human resources are its greatest asset. Nola's healthcare experience ranges from home care to acute care to long-term care in all types of organizations (for-profit, not-for-profit as well as large and small corporations). A Registered Nurse, a certified healthcare safety professional (CHSP), a certified hazard control manager (CHCM), and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Nola has a certification in mediation, a bachelor's degree in business and a master's degree in human services administration. As a longtime advocate for workplace safety, Nola has worked with a host of healthcare regulatory organizations as well as the Department of Labor.
