Recognized Executive in the field of Internet security, Mr. Medrano helped to create the firewall, content security, and security policy segments of the security market. Active member on President Bush's National Security Advisory Committee, National Cyber Security Summit, The White House National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace., and participated in President Clinton's White House Security Summit. Mr. Medrano has extensive experience with start-ups and large companies. Mr. Medrano was CEO of PoliVec, leader in security policy. Prior to PoliVec, Inc. Mr. Medrano was one of the top 100 Sr. Executives at Hewlett Packard . At Hewlett-Packard (HP) he was General Manager of the E-Services and Internet Security Divisions. As Division general manager for Hewlett-Packard, Medrano served a vital role as head of HP's key strategic emerging businesses. Some of these efforts included Internet security, middleware, management, web services, CRM, and E-commerce. Under his leadership, Medrano grew several teams from zero to more than $30 Million in a very short time with a combined total of $200 Million. Prior to joining HP, Medrano was president of Finjan, a leading security software firm. He also served as vice president of Milkyway Networks (IPO 1996), a firewall pioneer, and has held executive positions at Avnet Inc. and Sun Microsystems Inc. Medrano has been selected as one of "The 100 most influential Hispanics in 2001" and is co-founder and CEO for Hispanic-Net, www.hispanic-net.org, a non-profit organization. Mr. Medrano has started at the beginning of 3 industries: Electronic Design Automation, Open Systems and Computer Security. Mr. Medrano is a member of Technet. Daryl Plummer is group vice president and research general manager for software infrastructure in Gartner Research. Mr. Plummer has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Plummer was division director and technology coordinator for the State of Florida's Department of Management Services. Mr. Plummer was also data center director of the Technology Resource Center, one of the largest data centers in Florida. Mr. Plummer holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering technology and a master's degree in computer science from Florida State University. He also holds a master's degree in math-computer education.

Randy Heffner is a vice president in Forrester's Application Development & Infrastructure research group, covering software technical architectures for building enterprise applications. Topics he analyzes include application architecture, service orientation, application-level security, enterprise application security integration (EASI), high-end application design, and enterprise application platform strategy based on Java and Microsoft platforms. His primary research goal is to assist clients in building applications that are secure and resilient in the face of continuous business and technology change. Randy has spent 21 years leading the development of technical architectures for building enterprise applications. He came to Forrester through its acquisition of Giga Information Group. For 10 years prior to joining Giga, Randy was a chief architect at Sprint, where he led the analysis and introduction of application servers, component architectures, object-oriented development, application security architectures, CORBA, distributed transaction management, and other new technologies. His IT experience also includes technology leadership, management, and application development with a Big Five consultancy and in the retail and litigation support industries. Randy earned a bachelor's of business administration degree from Baylor University. He graduated magna cum laude and received honors as the outstanding student in the information systems program.

Michael R. Steed is a Founder and Managing Partner of Paladin. He serves as Chairman of the Paladin Homeland Security Fund Investment Committee and will serve as Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Fund; he is also a member of the Paladin Capital Partners Fund Investment Committee. Mr. Steed provides management oversight of the firm's operations and investments, and is responsible for the strategic direction of Paladin's current and future activities. Prior to founding Paladin Capital, Mr. Steed served as the Senior Vice President of Investments at Ullico Inc. a financial services holding company located in Washington, DC where he was responsible for 78 direct investments, co-investments and fund investments from 1992 to 1999, including all investments in a private capital fund where Mr. Steed had primary management responsibility. To date, Mr. Steed has completed over 100 direct, co-investment and fund investments during his career. Michael Steed is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University (LMU) of Los Angeles and received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law. He presently serves as a member of LMU's Board of Trustees; is a member of the Board of Visitors for Duke University's Sanford Institute of Public Policy; and is a founding board member of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI). Mr. Steed represents Paladin on the boards of directors of FPMI Solutions, SOA Software, Accubuilt, and Unlimited Fiber Optic Communications which has oversight of Paladin's investment in Cogent Communications.

Mr. Bryant is a Vice President of Paladin Capital Group. Prior to joining Paladin Capital in 2002, Mr. Bryant was an Associate and founding member of The Vigilant Investors Fund, a hedge fund in Santa Monica, California. While at Vigilant, Mr. Bryant was part of small team that built the fund from start-up, raising initial LP commitments from institutional and high-net worth investors. Mr. Bryant's responsibilities included originating and executing on new investment ideas, monitoring the fund's investments, as well as creating and maintaining the fund's proprietary in-house risk management system or 'black-box'. Prior to Vigilant, Mr. Bryant was a member of the management team of a Los Angeles based start-up. Mr. Bryant is also the co-founder of an international non-profit organization focused on creating literacy programs and building libraries in rural villages in West Africa. Mr. Bryant received his B.A. degree in Philosophy with Honors from Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where he focused on Logic and Analytical Philosophy. Mr. Bryant represents Paladin on the Board of Directors of Greater Ohio Ethanol and Renewable Energy Products, and is also actively involved with Paladin's investments in Accubuilt, Cogent Communications [NASDAQ: CCOI], Crossbow, HelioVolt, Iptivia, OQO, Royalty Pharma, SafeView, and SOA Software. Mr. Pentimonti is a Principal of Paladin focused on sourcing, negotiating and monitoring investment opportunities for the Paladin Homeland Security Fund and Paladin Capital Partners Fund. Prior to joining Paladin, Mr. Pentimonti spent six years as an investment banker with JPMorgan Chase (and the growth-focused investment bank, Hambrecht & Quist, which was acquired by JPMorgan Chase). While at JPMorgan, Mr. Pentimonti led the execution of over 20 equity offerings, 10 M&A transactions and various other public and private capital raising transactions. Mr. Pentimonti also identified and led four late stage private equity investments made by JPMorgan Partners. From 1991 to 1994, he was a senior consultant and auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. in San Francisco. Mr. Pentimonti received his B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University, and his M.B.A. from the Anderson School at UCLA. Mr. Pentimonti represents Paladin on the board of directors of Orchestria Corporation and Greater Ohio Ethanol, and is actively involved in Paladin's investments in CloudShield, GlassHouse and Oryxe Energy.
