Dr. Peter Kurpick, born in 1966, joined Software AG in April 2005, and in his role he is responsible for Research & Development of both Business Divisions, webMethods and ETS. Before coming to Software AG, he was Senior Vice President Server Technology at SAP and as such was responsible for major parts of the SAP Netweaver stack, which is the foundation of all SAP applications. At the beginning of 2000 he acted as Executive Board Assistant, during which time he worked out of Palo Alto, New York and Germany for Prof. Dr. Hasso Plattner, former CEO and co-founder of SAP. Dr. Kurpick started his career in IT in 1998, joining SAP as a software developer. Dr. Kurpick earned a Diploma in Physics focusing on theoretical physics / supercomputer topics in 1989 and a PhD in theoretical physics in 1993. From 1995 to1997 he did his postdoctorate in the United States, working at the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Kansas State University, and the Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Tennessee.

Holger Friedrich, born in 1966, was appointed to the Executive Board in October 2008 with responsibility for global Professional Services. Prior to joining Software AG, Mr. Friedrich was with McKinsey & Company, SAP AG and SPM Technologies GmbH. Mr. Friedrich was a co-founder and CEO of SPM Technologies GmbH from 1994, growing the company to over 250 employees, until their acquisition by SAP SI in 2003.

Stan is Chair of the National Leadership Committee for FCA Endurance, and has been competing in triathlons since 1997. Stan works as Senior VP and General Counsel for Software AG, Inc. and webMethods, Inc.

David Vap leads up product strategy, product management, and product marketing for RightNow Technologies. He brings 15 years of technology experience to the organization, most recently as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Software AG, where he helped to define, market, and sell a leading business process centric SOA suite. David also served as Vice President of Products at Artesia Technologies, a content management vendor, where he was responsible for product management, development, and quality assurance. Prior to Artesia, David founded and a professional services company that focused on the packaging of solution offerings built using a CASE tool environment.

Jim Bole Vice President, Products: Jim brings more than 17 years of entrepreneurial software development and technical management experience in both startups and Fortune 100 companies. Jim was a member of the founding development team at Formtek, an early pioneer in the engineering imaging and document management space. After leading core technology development, he also assumed P&L responsibility for the Professional Services, Training and Support organizations. As VP of Technology and Services, Jim oversaw rapid expansion of the company's global service business and the successful acquisition by Lockheed Martin. Jim also held VP of Engineering and CTO roles at pop2it.com and most recently at WorkExchange Technologies. Jim holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Joe Gentry, born in 1963, has worked at Software AG for over 10 years and has worldwide responsibility for the Enterprise Transaction Systems business line. Mr. Gentry started his professional career in the early eighties as a senior programmer with Signet Bank and then with Alex Brown & Sons in Baltimore, Maryland, before moving to Software AG Inc. of Reston, Virginia in 1989 as a senior systems engineer. From 1996 to 2001, he held senior management positions in product management at Merant and Intersolv and subsequently became vice president of SpaceWorks, Inc. In 2001, he returned to Software AG and now is responsible for market and product strategy for the Enterprise Transaction Systems business line.

Martin Frommberger is one of the main shareholders and a member of the Advisory Board of jCatalog AG. He advises jCatalog Software AG in the areas of professional services, finances and operations in particular. Before co-founding jCatalog Software AG in 2000, he was a joint founder of A & F Systeme together with Stephan Albers in 1991, where he was responsible for various projects as well as the entire systems business. Martin Frommberger has a diploma in Information Technology, having studied Applied Information Technology with special emphasis on engineering sciences at the University of Dortmund.

Stephan Albers is Chairman of the Board and co-founder of jCatalog Software AG. In his capacity as Chairman of the Board, he is responsible for sales and development activities. He founded jCatalog Software AG jointly with Martin Frommberger in 1999. Prior to this, he was Managing Partner in the software company of A & F Systeme. Here Stephan Albers was responsible for the development activities, working as Project Leader on the successful implementation of several major customer projects such as Siemens Telefonsysteme or Hyundai Motor Deutschland. Albers studied Applied Information Technology with special emphasis on engineering at the University of Dortmund, graduating with a diploma in Information Technology.

As Director of Marketing, Julian oversees global marketing and PR initiatives for STT Trainer. Julian has been involved in the IT industry for over 10 years, both in Europe and South Africa. In 1994 he joined SOFTWARE AG in Germany as Internet Marketing Manager, where he developed and implemented the Internet marketing strategy across the company's affiliate offices in Europe and the USA. After four years in Europe he joined Dimension Data - a leading global IT company - in South Africa to market enterprise software products from Software AG, Microstrategy, Comshare and Siebel to the local market. He later joined M-Web - the country's largest ISP - to take up the position as Marketing Director for M-Web Business Solutions. During this time he was responsible for the development and marketing of M-Web Business Solutions' corporate brand and products. Julian, originally from Atlanta, USA, joined Kaplan IT Learning in 2002. He is fluent in German, Spanish and French, and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Arne Graper has been Head of Development at jCatalog Software AG since 2007, a role in which he is responsible for the entire product development. From 2006 to 2007, he was Senior Developer at jCatalog Software AG. Prior to this, he worked as a scientific assistant at the Institute for Measuring and Control Technology where he managed industrial software projects for quality assurance using image processing. Until January 2004, he worked as Senior Developer at Nokia Mobile Phones BU in Ulm. He studied Physics at the University of Dortmund with special emphasis on solid-state physics / semiconductor optics.

Hi, I'm working for Software AG since June 2008. My main task at Software AG is the development and test of SOA project scenarios. Furthermore I support the students during the SOA Integration and BPM projects. Last but not least I'm responsible for the maintenance of the University Relations Website. Simultaneous to my work I study Information Systems at Darmstadt University of Technology since 2003.

Hi, I'm working for Software AG since April 2006. My main task at Software AG is the development and test of SOA project scenarios. Furthermore I support the students during the SOA Integration and BPM projects. Simultaneous to my work I study computer science at Darmstadt University of applied science since 2004.

Hello, my name is Christian Kulas, I am working at Software AG since May 2008. At the moment I am responsible for the licensing process in the department "University Relations". By the way I work on the web site with Bernd. In addition to my work at Software AG I study Information Systems at Darmstadt University of Technology since 2007.

Eckhardt Schwabe has been Head of Sales at jCatalog Software AG since December 2007. Before becoming Head of Business Development at DEKRA Business Services / DEKRA Certification GmbH, he worked as Head of Sales at TUV Business Services / TUV Rheinland Consulting GmbH and was owner of net Payment GmbH. From 2000 to 2004 he worked as Head of Marketing at net mobile AG and was responsible for the business management of net Vertriebs GmbH & Co.KG, where he boosted the turnover of the startup from zero to around 4.5 million euros a month. The company was distinguished by Deloitte / Touche as one of the fastest growing IT companies during his time there. Prior to this, Eckhardt Schwabe managed the business customer sales at the Mannesmann Corporate Group Arcor where he was responsible for sales in the hundreds of millions range. He completed his studies in Business Economics at the Ruhr-University in Bochum.

Dr. Johnannes Viegener joined Software AG in December 2005 and is responsible for crossvisionTM suite R&D. Prior to joining Software AG, Johannes was with SAP AG where, during the last 8 years, he managed several development projects in SAP NetWeaver, leading development teams in India, Germany and other parts of Europe. In the last few years, Johannes was responsible for foundations of the SAP Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA). Johannes holds a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.

Bringing more than 25 years legal and technology transfer experience to his position, Karl Drews serves as the Vice President of Operations and Technology Transfer, and as the Secretary for the National Institute of Aerospace since 2003. In this capacity, he advises the management team on contractual technology issues and oversees the following company departments: Technology Transfer; Contracts; Purchasing; Business Administration; Human Resources; and Public Relations. Prior to joining the National Institute of Aerospace, Dr. Drews served as the Assistant General Counsel for Software AG, a Darmstadt, Germany company, with offices internationally and as Acting General Counsel for SAGA Software, Inc., a Software AG Subsidiary located in the United States. Dr. Drews retired from Software AG in 2001. Prior to working with Software AG, Drews was the General Counsel and Director of Contracts for Computer Dynamics, Inc. from 1986 to 1991. From 1982-1986, Dr. Drews was a Senior Analyst with M. Rosenblatt & Sons, Naval Architects. Prior to this time, Dr. Drews was a Lead Attorney with Bowne Information Systems, New York, developing complex litigation databases for use in major commercial disputes. Dr. Drews is a noted author and lecturer on software licensing and multi-national transactional disputes, with over 10 books on subjects ranging from Year 2000 Computer Licensing Issues to international software licensing and patent issues. Dr. Drews holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, The College of William and Mary, and a Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion University.

Nicolas is a French computer science engineer. Before joining eXo in May 2008, Nicolas has worked for 6 years for Software AG as a java/XML/J2EE developer and 1 year for Systar SA as a R&D developer. He is now in charge of european customer operations in the eXo Platform SAS company.

Paul Lane is responsible for Business Development and Operations of jCatalog Software Inc., the US subsidiary of jCatalog Software AG. He is also responsible for the market segment "Marketplaces and Procurement Service Providers". Paul Lane has 25 years of experience in the American software sector. In the last six years, he has specialized in the development of supplier relationship management solutions within international organizations. Before joining jCatalog Software AG, Paul Lane was responsible as Key Account Manager and Project Leader for some of the largest global projects at Commerce One, USA. Prior to this, he managed the Western US Professional Services for Indus International, a leading provider for enterprise architecture management. He started his change of career at Bechtel, the largest construction company in the USA. Paul Lane studied at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and has a B.Sc. in Engineering.

Stefan Riesenbeck has been Head of Professional Service at jCatalog Software AG since 2007. From 2001 until 2007 he worked as Project Manager in Professional Service at jCatalog Software AG, his responsibilities here including major projects with IBX and Siemens and managing the introduction of product information systems, e.g. at Tesa and Otto Office. Prior to this, Stefan Riesenbeck worked in software development at jCatalog Software AG. Up until 2000, he was a student trainee in the Data Processing department of Bleistahl Produktions GmbH und Co.KG. He studied Business Information Systems at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.

Tim Miller is a serial entrepreneur with over 14 years experience in managing, building and growing software companies from startup to Fortune 1000. Before co-founding Rally, Miller started Avitek, a 40-person, custom software development firm. Tim grew Avitek to over $10M in revenues before BEA Systems acquired Avitek in 1999. Miller helped create BEA's highly successful Portal Development Group and then served as Vice President of BEA's Accelerated Development Centers where he managed over 150 employees and over $40 Million in revenue. Tim received his MS degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a MBA from ASU at Tempe, and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is actively involved in his community as a member of Social Venture Partners and is an alumnus of the Colorado Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization.
