Walden C. Rhines is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mentor Graphics, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation with revenue of $789 million in 2008. During his tenure at Mentor Graphics, revenue has more than doubled, growth rate since 1999 has been number one among the “Big 3” EDA companies and Mentor has grown the industry’s number one market share solutions in physical verification, design concept-through-functional verification and printed circuit board design.
Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments’ Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TI’s Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people.
During his 21 years at TI, Rhines managed TI’s thrust into digital signal processing and supervised that business from inception with the TMS 320 family of DSP’s through growth to become the cornerstone of TI’s semiconductor technology. He was also responsible for development of the first TI speech synthesis devices (used in “Speak & Spell”) and is co-inventor of the GaN blue-violet light emitting diode (now important for DVD players). He was President of TI’s Data Systems Group and held numerous other semiconductor executive management positions.
Rhines is currently in his fourth term as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation, Lewis and Clark College and the Portland Classic Wines Auction. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers' Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council and Sematech.
Dr. Rhines holds a bachelor of science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Michigan, a master of science and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University, a master of business administration from Southern Methodist University and an Honorary Doctor of Technology degree from Nottingham Trent University.

Gregory K. Hinckley serves as Mentor's president. Before Hinckley joined Mentor in January of 1997, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of VLSI Technology, Inc. in San Jose, California. In the past he has held senior officer positions with Bio-Rad Laboratories and Raychem Corporation.
Hinckley received his bachelor of arts in physics from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He was a Fulbright Scholar in applied mathematics at Nottingham University in Nottingham, England. He also holds a master of science in applied physics from University of California, San Diego and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ananthan Thandri is the vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of Mentor Graphics. Before joining Mentor, Thandri was most recently at Oracle Corporation as vice president, Information Technology. At Oracle Thandri was responsible for the IT organization supporting the Server Technologies Division. Prior to Oracle, Thandri worked for Cadence Design Systems for eleven years as vice president, Information Technology. At Cadence, Thandri implemented a variety of systems including SAP, Siebel, and a complete electronic fulfillment system. Prior to joining Cadence he held technical leadership roles at Mastech Corporation, ITC Ltd. and Fujitsu ICIM Ltd.
Thandri has participated in several CIO conference panels throughout the United States. He was profiled in the January 2004 issue of Technology Venture Capital journal. Thandri graduated in mathematics from the University of Madras, India and holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College, California.

Brian Derrick serves as the vice president of Corporate Marketing. Brian joined Mentor in 1997 as the marketing manager for Calibre and was instrumental in developing and executing the strategy that has enabled Calibre to become the industry-wide standard for physical verification. He played a key role in Mentor's acquisition of OPCT Inc. in 1998 and the successful integration of that technology into the Calibre product family, which has resulted in Calibre's Resolution Enhancement products also becoming the industry standard. Brian recently launched Mentor's new formal verification product, Formal Pro, and was also responsible for the company's parasitic extraction solutions.
Prior to joining Mentor, Brian held several marketing positions of increasing responsibility at Allied Signal and ultimately managed the Instrument Systems marketing organization. Brian holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Idaho.

Hanns Windele has worked for more than 20 years in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry. For the past 15 years he has held a variety of sales, marketing and management positions at Mentor Graphics with a proven track record of results. After finishing his master's degree in Electrical Engineering at Technical University Munich, Windele started as a sales engineer for Mentor Graphics in Germany.
Later on he held the positions of sales manager, European Marketing Director, Managing Director of Western Europe and Managing Director of Central Europe at Mentor before he became Vice-President Europe. His experience has given him a deep knowledge of the EDA market all across Europe. Previous experience includes technical management for CAE systems at Tektronix.
Windele is based in Mentor's European headquarters in Munich.

Dennis B. Brophy is standards program manager for Mentor Graphics' silicon vendor operations. Dennis has been in the electronic design automation industry for the past 17 years. He was first with Hewlett-Packard for five years, then joined Mentor Graphics where he has held several positions the past 12 years. Dennis is the chair of the IEEE P1481 Delay and Power Calculation Working Group and chair of the IEEE 1076.4 Timing Working Group Technical Action Group (VITAL TAG). He is currently leading a group to standardize a delay and power calculation system which includes EDA vendor independent calculation methods to ensure timing and power calculation coherency across a broad set of EDA applications. He is also leading a group to extend the VITAL 1995 standard to include a built-in memory model, more accurate interconnect delay model, built-in skew check, and improvements to VITAL timing checks. Dennis is a board member of Open Verilog International and a board member of Virtual Socket Interface (VSI) Alliance for Mentor Graph ics. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Davis in electrical engineering and computer engineering in 1980.
