Douglas Dodds is Chief Strategy Officer of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Mr. Dodds assumed his current role in 2005 after playing an integral role as Chair, Merger Leadership Council, in the merger of Schneider Foods with Maple Leaf Consumer Foods. As Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Dodds has the vital role of supporting the overall strategy and value generation across the Maple Leaf businesses, and to guiding the Company's global growth through strategic acquisitions. Mr. Dodds' career with Schneider Foods spanned more than three decades. He joined the company as a Product Accountant in 1969, and during his tenure held senior management positions of increasing responsibility including: Division Superintendent, Distribution (1972); Western Controller (1973 to 1976); Treasurer (1976 to 1979); Vice President Finance and Administration (1979 to 1981); President of Link Services, a distribution subsidiary of Schneider Foods (1981 to 1985); and President and Chief Executive Officer (1985 to 2005). Under his leadership, Mr. Dodds established Schneider Foods as a leader in the branded packaged and specialty meats and grocery products in the Canadian market with a strong commitment to product innovation and consumer responsiveness. Mr. Dodds is Chair of the Board of Directors for Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Homewood Corporation and is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of Guelph. Mr. Dodds received his Certified Management Accountant designation in 1973 and was recognized as a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada in 1992.
Michael Vels is Chief Financial Officer of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. He is also Chief Financial Officer of Canada Bread Company, Limited which is 89.8% owned by Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Mr. Vels joined the company in 1991 during which time, he has held senior finance positions of increasing responsibility including: Financial Controller (1991); Vice-President and Corporate Controller (1992 to1993); Vice-President, Finance (1993 to 1995); Senior Vice-President, Finance (1995 to 1998); and Executive Vice-President, Finance (1999 to 2004). He was appointed to his current responsibilities in March 2004. During his tenure, the Finance Group at Maple Leaf Foods has supported the rebuilding of the business and the industry, while at the same time bringing an extremely high level of business support tools and value-add to the Company, including installation of standard finance systems and leading edge insight tools. This has included a significant level of financial activity including numerous acquisitions and divestitures and the completion of several large and complex financing transactions. Mr. Vels received his Chartered Accountant designation in South Africa in 1985, while articling with a major accounting firm. He then worked for several years in the United Kingdom, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Shortly after transferring to Canada, Mr. Vels joined the Company at the time of the merger between Maple Leaf Mills and Canada Packers in 1991.
Chief Information Officer - Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Pat Ressa is Chief Information Officer of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. In his current position as Chief Information Officer, a role he was appointed to in 2001, Mr. Ressa is focused on helping the 300-plus members of the Company's IT team become the "best in business", providing first class services across the entire organization. The Company has invested significantly in information technology to provide world-class financial systems and disciplines to manage the business. More recently, Maple Leaf Foods' has made major investments in developing world-class leadership systems to support its core Leadership Edge processes. Previously, Mr. Ressa was Vice President of Logistics & IS, at Maple Leaf Bakery in Chicago. Where he implemented the Strategic Purchasing Initiative and organized the logistics function in a growing bakery business. He joined Maple Leaf Bakery in 1997 as Director of Logistics. Prior to joining Maple Leaf, Mr. Ressa worked for Comstock Michigan Fruit in concurrent roles of Vice President of Refrigerated Warehouse Services and Director of Distribution Planning & Analysis. During his time at Comstock, he improved Supply Chain efficiencies and developed value-added customer programs using Logistics. He also chaired several committees of the American Frozen Food Institute including the Warehousing, Education, and Logistics Committees. Previously, he spent several years in Operations with Americold, a public cold storage company. Mr. Ressa began his career with Southland Frozen Foods, a private label vegetable packer, working in various supply chain positions. Mr. Ressa holds an MBA in Management Science from Hofstra University and a B.Sc. in Business Administration & Accounting from the SUNY College at Brockport.

Chief Food Safety Officer - Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Dr. Randall Huffman is Chief Food Safety Officer of Maple Leaf Foods. In his current position, Dr. Huffman is responsible for leading Maple Leaf's food safety and quality assurance programs. This includes working with the Company's protein and bakery businesses to identify, assess and implement best operating practices, standardized processes, new technologies, and other initiatives that support Maple Leaf's leadership in food safety and quality assurance. Randy will also support the establishment of a Food Safety Advisory Council, a team of experts with the mandate to increase Maple Leaf's access to global knowledge and expertise in areas of food safety, microbiology and public education. Dr. Huffman joined Maple Leaf Foods in January 2009. Previously, he was President of the American Meat Institute (AMI) Foundation, the research, education and information arm of AMI. As President of the Foundation he led the Food Safety Initiative, which funded over 60 food safety research projects during his tenure. Dr. Huffman also worked with federal agencies to increase support of food safety research; represented AMI on numerous issues related to food safety; and managed a range of research projects related to nutrition, diet and health issues. Randy also served as a primary technical and scientific resource to the industry on food safety and meat quality. Prior to joining AMI, he held senior positions related to food safety, quality assurance and product development in the food industry. Dr. Huffman holds a Ph.D. and M.S. degree in Meat and Animal Science from the University of Florida in addition to a B.Sc. degree in Animal Science from Auburn University. He is an active member of the American Meat Science Association, the International Association of Food Protection, and the Institute of Food Technologists. He has participated on numerous university and government food safety advisory panels including the Cornell University Institute of Food Science Advisory Council, and U.S. Department of Agriculture National Research Initiative food safety research review panels.
Chief Information Officer Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Ray Shei is Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. In this capacity he has executive responsibility for the Company's information technology, information management and implementing the Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) strategy for Maple Leaf Foods. Ray joined the Company in 2008. Prior to joining Maple Leaf, Mr. Shei was Senior Vice President and CIO for Kellogg Company, where he was responsible for implementing a new ERP system world wide. His previous work experience also included eight years with Keebler, where he held senior positions of increasing responsibility including: Senior Manager, Logistics and Distribution Technology Systems (1988 1992); Director, Information Services Operations (1992 1996) and Vice President, Chief Information Officer (1996 2001). In 2001, after Kellogg acquired Keebler, he was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Kellogg USA. In 2002, Mr. Shei was promoted to Vice President of Kellogg Company. Mr. Shei received an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.

Richard Lan is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Food Group, Maple Leaf Foods and President and Chief Executive Officer, Canada Bread Company. Appointed to his current role in 2006, Mr. Lan joined Maple Leaf Foods in 1995. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Executive Vice President for Maple Leaf Foods and President of Maple Leaf Foods USA. In 1998, he was appointed President/Chief Operating Officer for Maple Leaf Foods Bakery Division, Chairman of Canada Bread, and also served as President of Maple Leaf Bakery USA. He served in this position until 2002 when he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Canada Bread, in addition to his role as President/Chief Operating Officer for Maple Leaf Foods' Bakery Products Group. Mr. Lan assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer for Maple Leaf's meat and bakery operations in October 2006. In this role he will lead the organizational alignment to establish an integrated value-added protein company and harvest additional synergies between the meat and bakery businesses. Under his leadership, Mr. Lan and his team in the Bakery Products Group have established the business as a leader in all core categories: Canadian fresh bread; North American par-baked market; U.K. bagel manufacturer; and Canadian fresh pasta. In 2002 Canada Bread completed its acquisition of Maple Leaf Bakery and Maple Leaf Bakery UK, creating an integrated global bakery operation, and a platform for greater efficiencies and market expansion in both the fresh and frozen par-baked businesses. He attended the University of Rhode Island where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Following his academic career, he became the president of Dell Products Corp., a frozen juice concentrate manufacturer in New Jersey and served that function from 1976 through 1987. He sold that business to the McCain family in 1988 and assumed the role of Vice President Sales for McCain Citrus in the United States. He was promoted to the position of President/CEO of McCain Citrus in 1990, where he remained until he joined Maple Leaf Foods. Mr. Lan is a director of Canada Bread Company, Limited. He is also a director of The Muralo Company, Inc., a New Jersey firm as well as a director of the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. He is a past member of the Young Presidents Organization in both the Chicago and New Jersey chapters.

Maple Leaf recently announced a new beginning for its protein value chain operations to significantly increase long-term profitability with a new strategy. Ms. King is responsible for supporting this reorganization to transition the Company's new strategy of focussing on its value-added fresh and further processed meats and meals business. Supporting the Executive Steering Team, she will lead the Project Management Office to support the successful implementation of the new business model. Previously, Annalisa was Senior Vice President of the Vertical Coordination team, responsible for building optimal linkages between Maple Leaf's feed, hog production, primary and value-added protein processing operations. Ms. King joined Maple Leaf in 2001 as Vice President Finance at Maple Leaf Poultry where she was responsible for Finance, Information Systems and Optimization, and was a key member of Poultry's management team. Previously Ms. King was Director of Finance at Pillsbury Canada, a company she joined in 1998, where she had responsibility for all the company's finance activities. She began her career at Kraft Foods where she held progressively senior finance positions prior to being appointed Director of Finance in 1997. Ms. King graduated from York University in 1990, with a major in Finance.

Mr. Kozun, 43, leads the team that oversees the Teachers' actively-managed public equities portfolios, including relationship investing, totalling more than $29 billion. Mr. Kozun joined Teachers' in 1995 and has risen steadily through positions of growing responsibility, most recently as Vice-President, Tactical Asset Allocation. Prior to joining Teachers', Mr. Kozun was with Imperial Oil Limited and Northern Telecom. Vice President, Government & Industry Relations - Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Rory McAlpine is Vice-President, Government & Industry Relations, Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Appointed to his current position in November 2005, Mr. McAlpine has overall responsibility for building strong and effective relationships with government and industry stakeholders to develop a coordinated and proactive government and industry relations program across Maple Leaf Foods. Mr. McAlpine has more than 20 years of experience in government, trade and agribusiness. Prior to joining Maple Leaf Foods, he was Deputy Minister of the B.C Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, a position he held from 2002 to 2005. Previously, he obtained significant experience with the Federal Government as Executive Director and Director General, International Trade Policy Directorate; Director Grains and Oilseeds Division; and Deputy Director Multilateral Trade with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He was also the former Executive Director of the National Farm Products Council, and was a Trade Commissioner with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, with postings in Kuwait, Bangkok, Brussels, Edmonton and Ottawa. Mr. McAlpine is a member of the strategic advisory committee to the Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. He is also on the advisory committee to the Dean of the Ontario Agricultural College and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ontario 4-H Foundation. Mr. McAlpine holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Mr. Royan, 41, joined Ontario Teachers' in 2008 as Vice President, Relationship Investing where he is responsible for making large-scale, long-term strategic investments in companies across the globe. He joined Ontario Teachers' from Lehman Brothers in New York, where he held senior roles in its mergers group and its equity strategies unit, Lehman's principal investing arm. Previously, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at J.P. Morgan in New York and RBC Dominion Securities in Toronto. Mr. Royan received an Honours MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.
Peter Baker is Managing Director of the Maple Leaf Bakery, UK and a member of the Maple Leaf Foods Executive Council. Appointed to this role in 2009, Mr. Baker is responsible for the continued growth of the business as one of the leading specialty bakery companies in the United Kingdom. Mr. Baker has more than 30 years experience in the bakery and consumer packaged goods industry in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Maple Leaf Mr. Baker served as Chief Executive of La Fornaia, which was acquired by Maple Leaf Foods in late 2007, a position he held from 2003 to 2007. Under his leadership, sales and profits of La Fornaia increased significantly, driven by the introduction of innovative new products to retail customers. Previously Mr. Baker was Chief Operating Officer, (Divisional MD) RHM Consumer Brands and Managing and Divisional Director of British Bakeries Ltd. He was also Divisional MD of RHM Cereals and Director and Managing Director of Rank Hovis. Mr. Baker serves as Vice President CIAA (European Food and Drink Federation). Mr. Baker has a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex, a Certificate of Company Direction (IOD) Distinction, from the Chartered Directors program and has completed the Senior Management Program, Harvard Business School.

Peter Maycock is Managing Director, Maple Leaf Bakery U.K., an independent operating company of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Mr. Maycock joined Maple Leaf Foods U.K. in 1997, originally as Managing Director of the U.K. Trading operations and then founded the Company's U.K. bakery business in 1998. Maple Leaf Bakery U.K. operates four bakeries around the U.K. and has established itself as the leading U.K. bagel and pretzel manufacturer and a leading supplier to U.K. in Store Bakeries. With bagel consumption levels in the U.K. averaging only three and a half bagels per person per year, compared to 26 in the U.S., Mr. Maycock and his team have launched a major long-term campaign to drive the growth of bagel consumption in the market. The Company continues to leverage its market position in the U.K. by building the strength of its leading New York Bagel brand and other specialty bakery products to expand sales in the U.K. and Europe. Prior to joining Maple Leaf Foods, Mr. Maycock worked for nine years in General management for British Bakeries (part of Rank Hovis MacDougall), a U.K. bakery business, and previous to that in general sales management for a division of Nestle U.K. He began his career studying U.K. Cost and Management Accountancy at his local University College and earned his qualification with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants.

Mr. Lamoureux, 66, was Chief Executive Of?cer of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (a public sector pension fund) until his retirement in 2007. He was appointed to the position in 1990, when the Ontario government established the new independent corporation to replace the Ontario Teachers' Superannuation Fund. An actuary by profession, Mr. Lamoureux joined Teachers' from Metropolitan Life, where he had a successful career in their New York and Ottawa of?ces.
Ms. McGarry, 57, is a director of omnova Solutions Inc. Her career includes over 30-years' experience with xerox including five years in Canada as Chairman, president and Ceo of xerox Canada from 1993 to 1998. prior to retiring in 2005, Ms. McGarry held the position of Chief Marketing officer, xerox Corporation.
Mr. Loadman's career includes service in Canada and the United States with three multinational food and packaged goods companies. Until 1991 Mr. Loadman was Chairman of Pillsbury International. Mr. Loadman, 74, is a resident of California. Until 1996, Mr. Loadman was Chairman of Ault Foods Limited.
Mr. Ritchie, 63, is also CEO of Strategico Inc. and a director of a number of leading Canadian corporations. Mr. Ritchie had 22 years of distinguished public service. As Ambassador for Trade Negotiations, Mr. Ritchie was one of the principle architects of the Canada/United States Free Trade Agreement.
Scott McCain is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Agribusiness Group at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. He was appointed to his current role in 1999, having previously held the position of Executive Vice President. The Agribusiness Group is comprised of Maple Leaf Animal Nutrition, Elite Swine and Rothsay. Under his guidance, the Agribusiness Group has produced constant improvement and steady performance as an integral element of the Company's value chain strategy. In 2005, the Company announced it was bringing together Shur-Gain and Landmark Feeds to create Canada's leading animal nutrition organization, Maple Leaf Animal Nutrition. Before joining Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in April 1995, Mr. McCain was Vice-President for Production of McCain Foods Limited in Canada, a company he joined in 1978 and where he held progressive positions in manufacturing/operations. Mr. McCain holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University (1978). He is a director of Maple Leaf Foods Inc., Canada Bread Company, Limited and McCain Capital Corporation. Mr. McCain is also a director of the Saint John Sea Dogs and McCain Foods Group Inc. He is a member of the Board of Regents at Mount Allison University and a Board member of Food Processors of Canada.
