Patrick Butler is senior vice president of The Washington Post Company, with responsibility for public policy, new business development, and special corporate projects. He is also president of Washington Post Company Productions, supervising the production of non-fiction television programming for PBS (including the Best Documentary Emmy-winning Watergate Plus 30: Shadow of History) and cable networks. In the early 1990s, he chaired PCS Action, a consortium of companies (including the Post Company) that helped launch the digital wireless telecommunications industry. Before joining the Post Company, Butler was Washington vice president of Times Mirror, where he was a founder of the Times Mirror Center for The People & The Press. From 1982 to 1985, he was president of Patrick Butler and Company, a communications consulting firm whose clients included leaders of government, business and media. Previously, he had served as staff vice president of RCA Corporation and as director of corporate public relations for Bristol-Myers Company). In government service, Butler was a speechwriter for President Gerald R. Ford and special assistant to US Senate Majority Leader Howard H. Baker, Jr. of Tennessee. Butler was legislative director and chairman of the Impeachment Task Force for Congressman Lawrence J. Hogan of Maryland during the Nixon impeachment proceedings in 1974. He was a member of the National Council on the Humanities (1988-1994) and chairman of its Public Programs Committee. Butler is chairman of the Dean's Advisory Council of the American University School of Communication, chairman of the Maryland Public Television Foundation, and (as of September 2008) chairman of the corporate advisory board of SOME (So Others Might Eat). He is also a member of the boards of trustees of American University, the Foundation for the National Archives, the Pew Research Center, The Media Institute, the University of Tennessee College of Communication and Information, the National Endowment for Democracy's Center for International Media Assistance, the International Research and Exchange Program, and the Children's Charities Foundation. He was named a DC-CAPtain for his work in securing enactment of the DC College Access Act, under which the federal government pays the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition for District of Columbia students attending colleges nationwide. Butler began his career in 1966 as a reporter for the Chattanooga News - Free Press and then as City Hall reporter for The Chattanooga Post. He later served as assistant director of public information for the Appalachian Regional Commission and as press secretary and environmental policy advisor to Congressman Wilmer "Vinegar Bend" Mizell of North Carolina. Butler majored in political science at the University of Tennessee. He earned a Master of Arts degree (with distinction) in journalism and public affairs at American University, where he has taught graduate courses on The Press and Politics and on 21st Century Journalism. He studied finance and accounting at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and he has been accepted as a Fellow in the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Kevin D. Thompson is a local arts writer and online television critic/blogger for The Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, FL. Kevin has worked at The Post since January 1996 when he was hired as a general assignment arts reporter to cover television, movies and music. He was named the paper's television critic in September 1996. A graduate of New York University with a bachelor?s degree in journalism, Kevin began his career in 1985 as a general assignment reporter for the Review Press-Reporter in Bronxville, N.Y. He has since worked as a business reporter for The Journal of Commerce in New York, N.Y.; the small business editor for Black Enterprise magazine in New York, N.Y., a reporter/correspondent for People magazine in New York and Los Angeles, Calif., and a senior editor for Talk TV Weekly in White Plains, N.Y. Kevin has also covered entertainment and written celebrity profiles for such newspapers and magazines as the New York Daily News, the New York Post and Essence while he worked as a New York City-based freelance writer. Of all the big-name stars Kevin has interviewed over the years, he still can't get over the time Halle Berry shamelessly flirted with him in her palatial hotel suite at The Ritz-Carlton in Pasadena, Calif. A native of Queens, N.Y., Kevin has two children, Christopher and Jasmine, and one loyal dog, Max. He lives in West Palm Beach.

George O'Dwyer, a 31-year industry veteran in the field of television, film and the recording business is currently Executive Producer and Partner at 501 Post (501 Group Inc.), Austin, TX. Prior to graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and a minor in Theatre Arts in 1977, O'Dwyer started his career at WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas, under the guidance and supervision of the legendary Mike Shapiro in 1975. John is a Full FA and UEFA 'A' Licensed Coach. He is an FA Coaching Educator and is the owner of Post to Post School and operates the Park Lane College Tutor NVQ Football Educational Scheme. John's football career started off with Leeds City Boys, Leeds United, St. Ann RC School and Leeds FA U-17 side as a youth. He went on later to play professionally with Farsley Celtics, Yorkshire Amateurs, Guiseley, Carlton and the All Yorkshire Leagues Club. John has coached at Leeds United in their football development scheme, U-16 team manager/coach, Leeds United Center of Excellence, Sheffield United U-15/16/17, East End Park WMC, FA Center Director Independent C/E for pro clubs. He has coached goalkeepers programs for New College Pontefract, Rothwell Town and Morley Spurs. Frank joined Post Modern Edit in 1998 as a Quality Control operator. Before moving into the DVD realm, he gained five years' experience as Tape Operator and Editor (linear and non-linear), working with all tape formats and tape decks. In 2003, Frank transferred to Post Modern Digital where he has become experienced in all facets of DVD production from encoding and authoring to quality control. In 2005 he was promoted to Project Manager and oversees all aspects of DVD scheduling and production. He has worked on feature film DVD releases for distributors including MGM, as well as TV series DVDs including Greatest American Hero Seasons 1 and 2, Silk Stalkings, 21 Jump Street and the ongoing series of Martha Stewart DVDs.

Diana is our current Parliamentarian. With this position comes great responsibility. She is at the President's side during Unit meetings, and helps keep order when needed. Diana is also the outgoing Fourth District President this year. During her 2 years as District President, the District has been first place in membership for the Department and 100% in 2006. In previous years she has served on the Unit Development & Revitalization Committee, and Department of Wisconsin Public Relations Chairman. Diana gained her eligibility 19 years ago through the service of her father Ronald Kaun (Korea) who is also a Past Commander of our Post. She enjoys many activities outside of work and the Auxiliary including traveling, playing golf, and making wine with her husband Robert and daughter April.

Doris Hayward has been actively involved at POST in all aspects of the training academies since October of 2000. Those academies include the Basic Patrol, Detention, Dispatch, and most recently Corrections and Probation & Parole. Until recently, she was the Self-Sponsored Coordinator and is currently the Dispatch Academy Coordinator. When Doris started at POST, there were three Academy Training Specialists. She has grown with POST as she was recently promoted to Training Specialist making a total of seven. Her previous law enforcement experience includes five years at the Garden City Police Department as evidence manager and one year working at the Idaho State Police Forensics Lab in Meridian. Doris earned an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Boise State University.

Fahad is an Executive Partner and a co-founder of Malaz Group. He has over 17 years of work experience in various executive positions. From 1992 to 1999, Fahad was the General Manager of Rana Investment Company (Rana), one of the premier investment firms in Saudi Arabia. At Rana, Fahad launched and managed several private equity and alternative funds, while achieving the target returns in almost all these initiatives. He has also worked extensively on various regional projects in the Middle East. Fahad was one of the key members of the committee responsible for the corporatization of Saudi Telecom, the giant telecom monopoly in Saudi Arabia. Fahad earlier served for 8 years on Shoura Council a government appointed member consultative council. In addition, he was appointed a member of the Saudi Arabian team that negotiated with international oil and gas companies seeking concessions to invest in Saudi Arabia. He is currently a board member of Mobily (mobile phone operator in Saudi Arabia), Carrefour (Saudi Arabia), National Industrialization Company. Joby joined The Post in 1996 as national environmental reporter after working at The News and Observer in Raleigh, N.C., where he shared the Pulitzer Prize for public service for "Boss Hog," a series that documented the political and environmental fallout caused by factory farming in the Southeast. Katie graduated from Northeastern University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Science. She continued her studies at Northeastern and received a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002. She has been working at POST since 2002. Katie is an active member of the community and has given presentations in area schools and gyms on physical therapy as well as basic injury prevention. In addition to her physical therapy work at POST she works privately as a personal trainer, and also works at Hingham Recreation Fitness Room. In her spare time she enjoys power yoga, spinning and sailing.
Kathy Choi (Managing Director - Investment Management) joined Post from DDJ Capital Management where she was a senior research analyst for three years in high yield and distressed investments. Prior to DDJ, Kathy worked at Salomon Brothers as an Associate in the high yield capital markets group and as a Financial Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions group. Kathy received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and her MBA from Harvard University.

Kathy Renton is in her seventh season as Assistant Athletic Trainer at C.W. Post. She has served as team trainer for a variety of different sports, and in addition to her athletic training responsibilities, she manages and organizes all budgetary issues and supply ordering for the department. She also played a key role in the development of the auxiliary athletic training room in the newly constructed Pratt Recreation Center. Prior to her arrival, Renton graduated from the University of Delaware, where she worked with a number of athletic teams, including the Blue Hens football and wrestling squads. Following graduation with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education with an athletic training concentration, Kathy was employed as head athletic trainer at the Medical Center of Delaware-Schwietzers Physical Therapy and Middletown High School in Middletown, Del. After two years of service, she taught at West Mecklenburg High School, in Charlotte, N.C., and served as head athletic trainer at the school for three years. Renton is an active member of both the National Athletic Trainers' Association and Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association. She resides in Bellmore, N.Y.
