Marshall Edward Simcox was born in 1918. During the second World War he enlisted as a B29 bomber pilot, flying the South Pacific out of Saipan into Japan. He endured flight times of 14 to 16 hours round trip, all of which took place over water until he reached the target site. During World War II Marshall flew 98 combat missions, as well as 2 mercy missions to prisoner of war camps. In the end Marshall was among the top 3 pilots for most missions flown during heavy enemy bombardment. Marshall received numerous medals including 4 air medals and the distinguished flying cross. To date he and his beautiful wife, Jacqueline, have been married 57 years. They have raised 8 children and nurtured 34 grand-children and 18 great-grandchildren.
