After receiving her degree from the University of Pennsylvania, she joined Martha Stewart Living as an editorial assistant, and has been actively involved with Martha Stewart Weddings since its launch in 1995. Currently, Darcy oversees every aspect of weddings coverage: in publishing and merchandising, on television, the web, and radio. Under her guidance, the publication won a general excellence award from the American Society of Magazine Editors and six Society of Publication Designers Merit awards. Still, it's the brides-to-be that matter most to her. "One of the best parts of my job is working day in and day out with real women," she says. "If the bride shines, so will the entire wedding." Listen to Darcy give invaluable wedding advice on Martha Stewart Living Radio (Sirius 112 and XM 157).

As the editorial director of gardening, Martha's longtime head gardener Andrew Beckman spends his days planting seeds of ideas and nurturing them along. A knack for planning ahead, then waiting patiently, comes in handy in the garden -- and at work, too. His team conceives all of its stories up to two years before they're published and then produces them a year in advance. Andrew has a degree in landscape architecture and a practical degree in horticulture from Pennsylvania's prestigious Longwood Gardens. He also co-owns a nursery in Columbia County, New York. He travels the country visiting nurseries and gardens, attending lectures, and researching new plants, and is always talking with fellow gardeners about what interests them. You can listen to Andrew, along with deputy editor of gardening Tony Bielaczyc, talk plants on "Homegrown," his radio show on Martha Stewart Living Radio (Sirius 112).
Fritz Karch's office looks just as you might imagine. It's piled high with his latest finds, a fascinating mix of exquisite things and intriguing oddities. Ask him about virtually any vintage item, and he'll tell you the story behind it. For our collecting articles, Fritz, who started at Martha Stewart Living in 1992 and is now the editorial director of collecting, chooses topics that educate and delight. He then arranges objects related to the topics and captures their quirky and beautiful personalities in photos. Collecting is about "reusing and recycling," Fritz says. "There's so much wonderful stuff in the world." In addition to being a lifelong collector (or, as he says, "hunter and gatherer"), Fritz is a dealer specializing in twentieth-century dinnerware, among many other things. His preference, he jokes, goes toward four categories: broken, large, heavy, and useless.
Ever since she can remember, Jodi Levine has been drawing pictures, designing doll clothes, and dreaming up original craft ideas. After majoring in painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, Jodi brought her skills and talents to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She started in 1994 at Martha Stewart Living magazine, and spent seven years coming up with inspiring ideas to help readers enhance their homes and their lives. Now, as editorial director of Kids and the host of "KidStuff" on Martha Stewart Living Radio, she brainstorms projects for kids and parents, develops stories, and tests everything at home on her most important audience -- her own kids.
Kevin Sharkey, who has a degree in architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, came to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in 1996 from Parish-Hadley, a venerable New York City interior design firm. Over the years Kevin has worked closely with Martha on the interior design of all her homes. As editorial director of decorating, Kevin creates most of the decorating stories seen in the pages of Martha Stewart Living, and he believes that a truly beautiful room is one that hasn't been "decorated" at all, but rather "considered." "It's not about dictating a set of rules," he says, "but about disseminating information so that people can apply the techniques we teach in the magazine and on the radio, and then do it in their own way to create something they truly love and are proud of." For him, the biggest compliment comes when a reader says, "I learned this from the magazine, but I did it my way."
Raised in a family of foodies, Lucinda began cooking professionally at age 16. She has worked as a chef, caterer, cooking teacher, and food writer, and she presently oversees Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia's food group, which contributes to MSLO's media and merchandising business segments. Formerly the food editor of Martha Stewart Living Television, Lucinda is now a cohost of the "Everyday Food" cooking series on PBS. She's also host of "EatDrink" on Martha Stewart Living Radio. Lucinda has written several cookbooks, including "Rustic Italian Kitchen," "Lucinda's Authentic Jamaican Kitchen," and "Jamaican Cooking: 140 Roadside and Homestyle Recipes." Her new cookbook, "Mad Hungry: Recipes and Strategies for Feeding Men and Boys," will be released in October. Lucinda lives in New York City with her husband and three sons.
Allen Katz knows his drinks. He is the director of mixology and spirits education for Southern Wine and Spirits of New York, the president of the New York chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild, a lecturer, a consultant, and an all-around cocktail aficionado. He grew up in Baltimore in a family obsessed with high-quality food and beverages, where he began to appreciate the significance of the two. "It is clear that America has contributed to the world of gastronomy in two mighty areas: barbecue and cocktails," Allen says. If he had to choose a favorite drink, he'd choose two (that being the minimum): a rye whiskey Manhattan and a white lady, a summery gin cocktail. On his weekly segment on Martha Stewart Living Radio, Allen introduces great recipes, ingredients, tools, and tips to the home bartender.

Betsy Karetnick is a broadcast journalist with a background in money and personal finance. She has reported stories both nationally and internationally, and served as the host of "That Money Show," a PBS-distributed series. All the while, Betsy indulged twin passions for party planning and planting. She is a passionate cook, and so started growing herbs and flowers on small balconies in New York City. Eventually Betsy has turned her hobby into The Portable Garden, a container garden and floral design business in Millburn, New Jersey. Now she is thrilled to be sharing her personal and professional experiences on Martha Stewart Living Radio in shows such as "Morning Living" and "Everyday Food." Betsy lives in New Jersey with her husband, two children, a growing number of pets, endless containers, and an impressive collection of stemware.
Emma Feigenbaum is associate food editor for Everyday Food. In addition to developing and testing recipes for stories in the magazine, she shares her passion for cooking and her knowledge about food on MSLO's television and radio programs. As the newest cohost of the weekly cooking series "Everyday Food" on PBS, Emma shares useful tips and recipes for creating mouthwatering meals that are as simple as they are delicious. She is also a regular guest on "Morning Living" and "Everyday Food," daily radio shows on Martha Stewart Living Radio (Sirius channel 112). Emma grew up in New York City, competing with her twin sister over whose coq au vin would most impress their mother, a passionate French cook. While pursuing a bachelor of fine arts in film and television from New York University, Emma earned her Grand Diploma in Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute. After graduating from NYU, she realized that she was more interested in making food than films. Before joining Everyday Food magazine in September 2007, she assisted Sheila Lukins, the renowned cookbook author and food editor of Parade magazine, testing, preparing, and helping develop recipes for the magazine, as well as Ms. Lukins' upcoming cookbook. In addition to her editorial experience, Emma has worked as a cook at Cafe Gray in New York City.

Maggie Mistal is a certified career coach, inspirational speaker, and corporate trainer on professional development. She is the host of "Making a Living" on Martha Stewart Living Radio (Sirius 112 and XM 157), and owns her own business, MMM Career Consulting, where she guides people in defining and achieving their goals. Maggie also volunteers as an on-call resource for Streetwise Partners, a nonprofit career development organization in New York City. In her spare time, she likes to create impressionist paintings and to explore Manhattan, her home.
For over two decades, Marty Goldstein has helped and healed his animal patients with the same natural therapies that benefit humans. He uses nontoxic therapies to treat chronic and degenerative diseases, especially cancer. This allows the animals to regain and maintain their own health the way nature intended, says Marty. At his clinic, the Smith Ridge Veterinary Center in South Salem, New York, Marty and his staff regularly treat animals through metabolic and other holistic approaches. He cares for all of Martha's pets, and hopes to help listeners raise happy, healthy animals. Marty, his wife, and three daughters share a home with three dogs and three cats.
Shawn Messonier seeks to help you take a natural approach to your pet's health. He is a veterinarian who has done prominent work as a holistic pet-care specialist. He wrote the award-winning "The Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats," has a weekly newspaper column called "The Holistic Pet," and contributes to Body+Soul magazine. If you can't make it to Paws & Claws Animal Hospital in Plano, Texas (which Shawn owns), you can ask him your pet questions every Tuesday night during the award-winning "Dr. Shawn, the Natural Vet" on Martha Stewart Living Radio.
Suzanne Kantra spends her days at Martha Stewart Living slightly differently than most editors. While the creative team at MSLO experiments with new flavors and crafts, Suzanne experiments with the latest crop of digital cameras and checks out the memory capacity on laptops. She then develops her research into technology stories for MSLO magazines, Martha Stewart Living Radio, and "The Martha Stewart Show." She also appears on ESPN2's "Cold Pizza," and serves as contributing editor to Popular Science magazine. Suzanne spent the past 15 years shaping Popular Science's technology coverage, introducing readers to the wonders of the Internet, celebrating the emergence of high definition, and, in general, reveling in a seemingly endless stream of cool gadgets.
From his humble beginnings as a 6-year-old with a seed packet of zinnias, Tony Bielaczyc went on to get his MFA at the University of Wisconsin. While working toward his degree, Tony gardened at the University's propagation greenhouses, and at the Allen Centennial Garden. Tony moved from Madison, Wisconsin, to New York City, where he worked as a horticulturist at Battery Park City Parks for six years. Now the deputy garden editor at Martha Stewart Living, Tony has executed many magazines stories in his 11 years with the company, been a guest on Martha's various television shows, and worked with Andrew Beckman in Martha's gardens. You may also have heard him cohosting "Homegrown" on Martha Stewart Living Radio, Sirius 112. So where does he get to practice what he preaches? Tony is involved with the Summit Street Community Garden in Red Hook, Brooklyn, which covers five city lots and has 30 active members. He also has been instrumental in developing the George Washington Carver Garden for Living for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. He loves a good vegetable garden, primulas, alpine gardens, and enjoys pruning (especially trees and roses).
Tracie Hotchner's life is filled with memories of the cats who have shared time with her over the years. Florence, Lucca, Bianca, and others inspired her to write "The Cat Bible: Everything Your Cat Expects You to Know." You can also hear her advice for keeping your feline content every Wednesday during "Cat Chat" on Martha Stewart Living Radio. Tracie lives in Bennington, Vermont, where she is a volunteer emergency medical technician, ambulance driver, and champion of local animal-rescue centers. Tracie now enjoys sharing stories about her pets and helping listeners with their cat challenges.
William (“Billyâ€) Stern was named General Counsel in September 2008. He joined Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. in 2005 as Senior Deputy General Counsel and has represented MSLO in a wide array of SEC matters, licensing transactions, acquisitions, investments and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining MSLO, Mr. Stern was a Principal at Fish & Richardson P.C., and a Partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP. He had been in private practice since 1994 with a focus on corporate and securities law. While in private practice, Mr. Stern represented companies and underwriters in a wide variety of financing and securities matters.
Mr. Stern received his A.B. from Brown University in 1986, and his J.D and M.B.A. from The University of Chicago in 1992. In addition to his role at MSLO, Mr. Stern has been an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and serves on various boards of directors for charities.
For most people, holidays are about tradition. But every year Marcie McGoldrick, holiday editor for Martha Stewart Living, comes up with new ideas for classic crafts -- like Easter eggs, jack-o'-lanterns, and Christmas ornaments. Halloween has become her favorite holiday because "we can go a little crazy," she says. For one story, she carved dozens of pumpkins and experimented with a bunch of different themes before settling on bugs and birds. "I think about how to take something beautiful and make it creepy --but still beautiful," Marcie says. This approach is the signature of her stories, all of which have a wonderful sense of whimsy and sophistication. Marcie has a master's degree in industrial design, and spends her free time making porcelain dishes and jewelry.
Growing up on a commune in Woodstock, New York, Sarah Carey was exposed to a variety of diverse foods and cuisine types at an early age. She received formal cooking training at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and also studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Upon graduation, Sarah worked at Verbena restaurant in New York City, and then moved on to become a recipe developer for cookbook writer Barbara Kafka and former New York Times food columnist Molly O'Neil. She joined Martha Stewart Living Television as an associate food editor in 1999, creating and testing recipes for the television series "Martha Stewart Living." Now Sarah is deputy food editor at Martha Stewart Living. In addition to developing recipes for stories in the magazine, she shares her passion for cooking and her deep knowledge about food on Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia radio and television programs.

Lagasse is the best-selling author of twelve cookbooks including Emeril's New New Orleans Cooking which introduced his creative take on Creole cuisine, and Emeril's There's a Chef in My World, a children's cookbook. In September 2002, he established the Emeril Lagasse Foundation to support and encourage programs creating developmental and educational opportunities for children.
