MATRIX was founded in Atlanta on February 7, 1983, by Bill Gower, Frank Glenn, John Scarbrough, Lambert Chandler, and Ron McGinty five men with a shared vision of raising the standards in the IT staffing industry. Drawing from their personal experience in the information technology field, as well as their understanding of the high-tech marketplace, the founders of MATRIX developed a clear vision of what their new company would stand for. As Vice President of Field Operations at MATRIX Resources, Inc., Don Palmer has assisted MATRIX clients for over 15 years to maximize their investments in IT human capital and IT services. He became Vice President of Field Operations in 2002 with overall responsibility for all Staffing Account Management and Recruiting operations. He also spearheaded the launch of MATRIX Workforce Solutions in 2003. Don is a member of Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). He joined MATRIX in 1990, and worked in both account management and recruiting, delivering both contracting and permanent placement services to customers. He achieved Rookie of the Year status and was a perennial Top Performer; leading to various leadership promotions. As a producer and leader in the Contract Division from 1992-1999, he was a key member of the team that grew the MATRIX Atlanta Consultant base from 50 to more than 1,300 individuals. Prior to joining MATRIX, Don worked with IBM, first as mainframe programmer, then as a Sales Consultant selling mid range computer systems and solutions to SMB financial and distribution clients.

Gary Wood, MATRIX Vice President of National Accounts and Workforce Solutions, possesses three decades experience covering all aspects of the IT services and staffing businesses. Embracing the concept of a single point of contact relationship, Gary's ongoing mission is to provide coordinated relationships with National Clients, providing all services that MATRIX offers. Gary's understanding of the industry is quite unique --- combining extensive knowledge of Vendor Management Systems (VMS) processes along with the staffing services needs of large customers. In his early days with MATRIX, Gary managed the large staffing clients focused on the contract staffing area. He served as Director of MATRIX IT Contract Services group, responsible for large account teams and the support of managers assigned to those accounts. Since 2003, he has led the implementation of nine ( 9) Managed Services programs, using industry leading VMS platforms. He supervises customer relationship teams that understand well why customers implement a VMS, and how to best work within those environments as a staffing company. Prior to MATRIX, Gary held various sales management positions in the computer hardware, services, software, professional services, and staffing sectors. His experience is focused on the financial, telecommunications, health care and general commercial businesses.

Vice President Tom Kapish spearheaded the launch of MATRIX Project Solutions and has overall responsibility for developing strategic alliances and building client relationships. He possesses more than two decades of experience in project management, system design, software development, and operational support for a variety of information systems projects across multiple industries. At the Coca-Cola Company for nine years, he served as Group Operations Manager, and Manager of Software Development and Client Support. Prior to that he was Manager of Software Development for Modular Computer Systems, Inc. Tom maintains expertise in applying full cycle project management methods across enterprise wide, global deployments. He has working knowledge of various software languages and design techniques.
