L. White Matthews, III, age 63, has been retired since September 2001. From July 1999 until September 2001, Mr. Matthews served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ecolab, Inc. (a developer and marketer of cleaning and sanitizing products and services) as well as a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Matthews was retired from May 1998 to July 1999. From February 1977 to May 1998, Mr. Matthews served in various financial positions with Union Pacific Corporation (a company involved in rail/truck transportation and oil/gas exploration and production).
