Charles (Chuck) R. Thomas, Vice President of Operations/ Controller, is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial reporting, including budgets, project business plans, due diligence review, and new project evaluation. Prior to joining MBK Northwest, Mr. Thomas spent seven years with MJC Construction Company as controller and was responsible for more than 25 entities with annual revenues of approximately $60 million. While with MJC Construction Company, Mr. Thomas successfully implemented budget controls, increased profitable sales through gross margin analysis and reduced taxes by improving the transaction structuring and planning. He also spent time with JC Reeves Corporation, Grant Thornton and Walters Construction Management. A certified public accountant, Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

John Sands, Vice President of Community Development, leads MBK Homes' planning and project management operations in Southern California. In this position, Sands oversees a team of project managers and is responsible for implementing systems for refining budgeting, scheduling processes and sharing information. Sands brings over 19 years experience in the residential real estate industry. Before joining MBK Homes, Sands most recently served as Director of Operations for Irvine, Calif.-based Granite Homes and held similar positions with Standard Pacific Homes, Brookfield Homes, Catellus Development, Toll Brothers and Brighton Homes. From these management and operational positions, Sands has accumulated knowledge of community planning, design/architecture, engineering, entitlements and permitting processes, budgeting and production trades. Sands is a graduate of the University of Southern California with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance, and is also a graduate of the Light Construction & Development Management Program at the University of California, Irvine. Additionally, he holds California licenses in real estate sales and appraisal and is a member of the Home Builders Council of Southern California (HBC-SC).
