Rick Chiricosta is President and Chief Executive Officer of Medical Mutual of Ohio. Previous to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Chiricosta served as President of the Life Group for Consumers Life Insurance Company, responsible for development of the infrastructure to facilitate Medical Mutual's re-entry into the life insurance business in 2008. He also served as Medical Mutual of Ohio's Executive Vice President for Mergers and Acquisitions, responsible for the financial aspects of Medical Mutual's strategic transactions. Mr. Chiricosta originally joined Medical Mutual in 1986 as Controller of the Western Division. In 1989, he became Chief Financial Officer for Medical Life Insurance Company, then a wholly owned subsidiary of Medical Mutual. He held that position until 1998, when he left Medical Life to become Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for National Interstate Corporation, a specialty property and casualty insurance company. In 1999, Mr. Chiricosta returned to Medical Mutual as Vice President of Finance. In February 2009, he was named to his current positions. Mr. Chiricosta earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, from the University of Toledo in 1978. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1980 and in 1993 received a Master of Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University. A member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Ohio Society of CPAs, Mr. Chiricosta has also earned a FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) designation. He volunteers his financial expertise as a board member for the Broadway School of Music and the Arts in Cleveland and for the Kidney Foundation of Ohio. He is also a graduate of the 2006 class of Leadership Cleveland.

Joseph C. Krysh is Executive Vice President and Executive Assistant to the President for Medical Mutual, the oldest and largest health insurance Company in Ohio. Mr. Krysh oversees Claims & Customer Service, Care Management, Medicare Markets, Facilities & Administration, and Human Resources. Mr. Krysh joined Medical Mutual in March 2003 from the Cleveland office of CGI Management Consultants, Inc., an international consultancy that acquired IMRglobal and Orion Consulting, of which he was one of the founders. His area of expertise is in the health insurance and hospital industries, having worked with a number of health insurance companies during his consultancy career, including Medical Mutual. Mr. Krysh received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from Cleveland State University. In addition, Mr. Krysh completed the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration Advanced Management Program in May 2007. He is a CPA (inactive).

Jan Santoli is Vice President of Agency/Broker Relations and Strategic Initiatives at Medical Mutual of Ohio. She is responsible for maintaining relationships with the broker and agency community within the state of Ohio, as well as nationally. She will also oversee the development of senior health plans to be sold in Ohio and nationally. In 1997, Ms. Santoli was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Service. Her responsibilities encompassed both individual and small group (1-99) markets for Ohio and all additional states where Medical Mutual operates. In this role, Ms. Santoli was responsible for all aspects of delivering individual and small group products to the market including sales, underwriting, service and broker relations. For more than 25 years she was in charge of handling the Company's largest client, The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE). She has held multiple management positions within Medical Mutual relating to claims, systems and benefit administration. Ms. Santoli serves on several non-profit boards, including Youth Opportunities Unlimited and Hands Across Medina. She was the past Vice President of The Liver Foundation.

Joe Parent is Vice President of New Market Development for Medical Mutual of Ohio. Mr. Parent has been focused on mergers and acquisitions in support Medical Mutual's expansion and diversification strategy since early 2006. He has been involved in the acquisitions of Carolina Care Plan and Premier Health Systems. Mr. Parent joined Medical Mutual in 2003 with responsibility for coordinating activities of Medical Mutual outside the state of Ohio. This included the expansion of Consumers Life Insurance Company, one of Medical Mutual's insurance subsidiaries, into new states including Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Parent worked in the Property and Casualty insurance industry. Most recently he was Vice President at Infinity Property & Casualty, responsible for the company's standard automobile product in a number of states, as well as their Classic Collectors and Umbrella products nationwide. Before that Mr. Parent was Vice President at Reliance Personal Insurance, managing the nonstandard auto product in several states, including Florida and New York. Mr. Parent has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration from Miami University, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Greater Cleveland Chapter. He serves on the Red Cross' Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and chairs the Service Delivery Committee.

John Perrone is Vice President Market Leader, Government for Medical Mutual. He is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efforts of the Market Leader team, which focuses on the sales and marketing of products to three distinct markets individuals, small groups and mid-to-large groups. He also oversees Product Development, the Proposal Group and Network Administrative Services, which maintains all provider network information to support sales. Mr. Perrone first joined Medical Mutual in 1987 as Sales Manager of Major Accounts and held similar positions in the Sales & Customer Relations division until leaving the Company at the end of 1994. He provided managed-care consulting services for DMI and PricewaterhouseCoopers before rejoining Medical Mutual in 1998 as Director of Network Administrative Services. He was named to his current position in 2002. Before entering the healthcare industry, Mr. Perrone spent 14 years in Human Resources management. He has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Supervision from Purdue University.

Kevin Lauterjung is Medical Mutual's Vice President, Healthcare Finance & Network Management. He is responsible for the Company's propriety provider networks. Mr. Lauterjung served previously in Medical Mutual's marketing department as the Market Leader for its individual insurance products. He began his career at Medical Mutual as a Regional Network Administrator, managing the hospital and ancillary provider network in southeastern Ohio. Prior to joining Medical Mutual in 1998, Mr. Lauterjung served six years in the U.S. Army as an officer in the Corps of Engineers, where he attained the rank of Captain. During his service he was the Battalion Intelligence Officer of the 3rd Engineer Battalion, 24th Infantry Division, during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Mr. Lauterjung's other professional experiences include managed care consulting with Medimetrix Group, a national managed care firm, and group practice management as Director of Operations for a multi-specialty physician group practice. He received his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA with concentrations in Finance and Health Services Management from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Mr. Lauterjung has given his time as an instructor for the Akron Junior Achievement (JA) program and is currently a member of the board of directors for the USO of Northern Ohio.

Lincoln LaFayette is Vice President of New Market Development and Administration for Medical Mutual of Ohio. Richard Waldron is Director of Institutional and Ancillary Contracting for Medical Mutual, responsible for the management of all hospital and ancillary provider contracting for the Company. Prior to joining Medical Mutual, Mr. Waldron spent five years working as an attorney in private practice. He spent two years with Burke, Haber & Berick and three years with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Arnoff. In both capacities he was responsible for handling all aspects of civil business litigation. Mr. Waldron originally joined Medical Mutual in 1989 as Associate Corporate Counsel in the Legal department. Ed Byers is Manager of Media Relations at Medical Mutual of Ohio. He is responsible for managing Medical Mutual's relationship with the news media. Byers joined Medical Mutual in 2004 and previously held the position of senior media relations specialist. Prior to joining Medical Mutual, Byers served as news director and morning news anchor for Nationwide, Metromedia, Infinity, and Clear Channel radio stations in Cleveland and Detroit. Currently, Byers serves as president of the Press Club of Cleveland, is a past president and vice president of the Ohio AP Broadcasters Association and is a 2003 inductee of the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame. The father of two Eagle Scouts, Byers is a registered leader with the Boy Scouts of America and is the recipient of numerous awards for his volunteerism including the highly-coveted Silver Beaver Award from the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America in Dallas, Texas.

Perry Braun is Market Leader, Large Group Market, for Medical Mutual. He is responsible for sales and service to all customer groups of 100 or more, as well as the State of Ohio government and The Retirement System. Mr. Braun returned to Medical Mutual after a seven-year hiatus, during which he served five years as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Consortium Health plans and two years as an independent consultant in the disease management industry with PersonalPath, Inc. His experience outside of the Company includes leading strategic planning efforts, human resource functions, financial management and reporting, compensation and performance review, and driving the increase of sales. During his first term with the Company from 1985 to 1997, he held various sales and account management roles working in small, mid- and large-group employer markets with brokers, consultants and customers. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Mr. Braun has a bachelor's degree in Economics and International Business, and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance, specifically in Mergers and Acquisitions. He is a member of the Regional Growth Partnership Board in Northwest Ohio, a member of the British American Chamber of Commerce, and formerly served on the Alumni Advisory Board and is a former member of the Dean's Council for Bowling Green State University.
