Marc P. Flores became our President, Chief Executive Officer and one of our directors in August 2004. Mr. Flores served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Coalescent Surgical, Inc., a company focused on developing advanced technology for blood vessel anastomoses, from March 2000 to August 2004. Prior to joining Coalescent, Mr. Flores was Western Regional Manager of Sales for CardioThoracic Systems, Inc. from June 1997 to March 2000. Before joining CardioThoracic Systems, he held a variety of management and sales positions with Boston Scientific Corporation, GE Medical Systems and Xerox Corporation.

Jungbauer was formerly CFO of ATS Medical, Inc. and St. Jude Medical, Inc. MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 2004--MedicalCV, Inc. (OTCBB:MDCVU), a Minnesota-based cardiothoracic surgery device manufacturer, today announced that Jack Jungbauer has joined MedicalCV as chief financial officer, effective immediately. Jungbauer replaces Jules L. Fisher, who has resigned to join the finance team at American Medical Systems. "As we welcome Jack to our management team, I want to acknowledge and thank Jules for his two years of dedicated service to MedicalCV. We wish him every success going forward," said Blair Mowery, MedicalCV's president and chief executive officer. Jungbauer comes to MedicalCV with 26 years of experience in the medical device industry. Most recently, he was chief financial officer of heart-valve manufacturer ATS Medical, Inc. He also previously held positions as chief financial officer with St. Jude Medical and Titan Medical.

Mr. Brodeur, age 53, has over 25 years of senior financial leadership in healthcare, medical device, biotechnology and clinical laboratory industries. From December 2005 to August 2007, Mr. Brodeur was a Managing Partner at Prairieview CFO Partners, LLP, a CFO services firm serving public or pre-IPO emerging, middle-market businesses. From September 2004 to December 2005, Mr. Brodeur served as the Chief Financial Officer of McKesson Medication Management, Inc., a pharmacy outsource provider to acute care hospitals. From December 2001 to March 2004, Mr. Brodeur was a Senior Partner at Tatum CFO Partners, LLP, a national CFO services firm serving emerging, middle-market and multinational companies. Through Tatum CFO Partners, Mr. Brodeur served as Chief Financial Officer of Molecular Diagnostics, Inc. and Aastrom Biosciences, Inc., publicly traded medical device companies. Mr. Brodeur has also served as Chief Financial Officer of Meris Laboratories, Inc. and held senior financial leadership positions with EPS Solutions Corporation and WellPoint Health Networks Inc. Mr. Brodeur is a certified public accountant who began his career at Ernst & Young.

Adam L. Berman joined MedicalCV in September 2004 as Vice President, Research and Development. Mr. Berman has extensive experience and relationships within the cardiac surgery industry. From July 2001 to August 2004, he was a regional sales manager for cardiac-surgery focused Coalescent Surgical, Inc., a Sunnyvale, California company, whose assets were acquired by Medtronic, Inc. From August 1998 to June 2001, he was a regional development manager for Computer Motion, a company focused on robotic-assisted, minimally invasive approaches for surgery. Before joining Computer Motion, Mr. Berman held various clinical research positions within the field of cardiac surgery.

Dennis E. Steger joined MedicalCV in September 2001 as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. From August 1998 to August 2001, Mr. Steger was Director Design Quality Assurance for Medtronic Perfusion Systems, where he was responsible for controlling the development and transfer of new/modified products from research and development to manufacturing. He also held the position of Director Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance & Clinical for AVECOR Cardiovascular, Inc. from July 1991 to August 1998, where he was responsible for quality systems, technical support, risk analysis, documentation, and regulatory affairs. He has also held senior level management positions with Johnson & Johnson Cardiovascular, Extracorporeal Medical Specialties and Tompkins Rubber Company.

Gary O. Tegan joined MedicalCV in April 2006 as Vice President, Marketing. Most recently, Mr. Tegan served as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for PneumRx, Inc. from September 2005 through April 2006, where he developed and implemented the company's sales & marketing strategy for its initial product launch. From June 2004 to September 2005, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Curon Medical, Inc., a radiofrequency energy based company focused on the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. Prior to that, Mr. Tegan was the Director of Marketing for Coalescent Surgical (acquired by Medtronic in 2004) from June 2001 to June 2004, where he helped develop the anastomotic device business using a number of groundbreaking, technology-based marketing techniques. Previously, Mr. Tegan held a series of senior sales & marketing positions at United States Surgical and Starion Instruments.

James E. Jeter joined MedicalCV in November 2005 as Vice President, Sales. Mr. Jeter most recently served as a Central States Region Manager for Medtronic, Inc. from August 2004 to November 2005, where he led a team charged with revenue growth across three product platforms: cardiac revascularization, atrial fibrillation and Coalescent anastomotic devices. From January 2001 to August 2004, Mr. Jeter was a Regional Sales Manager, then a Divisional Sales Manager, with Coalescent Surgical, Inc. tasked with starting and building the anastomotic device business for cardiac and vascular surgeons in the company s Central States Division. From July 1999 to January 2001, Mr. Jeter was a co-managing partner of Innovative Surgical Products. Previously, he held a series of positions, including Director of Sales, Cardiac Division, with the Genzyme Corporation.

David B. Kaysen has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director since May 2006. From July 2005 to May 2006, Mr. Kaysen served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Advanced Duplications Services, LLC, a privately-held replicator and duplicator of optical media, such as CDs and DVDs. Between December 2002 and June 2005, he served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Diametrics Medical, Inc., then a publicly-traded manufacturer and marketer of critical care blood analysis systems that provide continuous diagnostic results at point of care. From 1992 to 2002, Mr. Kaysen served as Chief Executive Officer, President and a director of Rehabilicare Inc., since renamed Compex Technologies, Inc., a publicly-traded manufacturer and marketer of electromedical rehabilitation and pain management products for clinician, home and industrial use. Mr. Kaysen currently serves on the board of directors of MedicalCV, Inc. and Zevex International. Mr. Kaysen holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Mr. Haimovitch is president of Haimovitch Medical Technology Consultants, a Mill Valley, CA-based health care consulting firm specializing in the analysis of the medical device industry, with particular emphasis on the current trends and the future outlook for emerging medical technology. Clients include money managers, venture capitalists, investment banks and health care corporations, who use Mr. Haimovitch's expertise for the evaluation of public and private investments, acquisitions, divestitures and strategic alliances. He is also a regular contributing writer to three medical device newsletters: The BBI Newsletter, Cardiovascular Device Update and Medical Device Daily. Mr. Haimovitch has served on the board of several medical device companies, including privately-held Quest Vision Technology, Inc. (acquired in 2005 by Advanced Medical Optics, Inc.) and ECO-Cath Lab Systems, Inc., and public companies Cardiac Control Systems Inc. and Electropharmacology, Inc. He currently serves as a board member for Medical CV, Inc., a publicly-traded, Minneapolis-based medical device company developing an innovative surgical therapy for atrial fibrillation. Mr. Haimovitch currently serves as a board member for two San Francisco, CA-based non-profit organizations, the Zen Hospice Project and That Man May See. Prior to forming his consulting firm in 1990, Mr. Haimovitch spent over 20 years working as a health care and medical device industry analyst for a variety of brokerage firms and financial institutions.
