Prior to joining HarvestRoad, Allyn was IT Manager with Open Learning Australia, a consortium of seven major universities in Australia, where he lead IT strategy, the development of the OLA Learning Portal and operational management of the IT Unit. His varied background includes media and information management qualifications, strategic management positions with Melbourne IT Limited and over 15 years in a range of technical, professional, academic and research positions at the University of Melbourne and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). The ILCE project is a next generation learning initiative that has attracted international attention from a wide range of sources. Embracing 13 Latin American member countries, at full deployment it is likely to be the largest eLearning development ever undertaken worldwide. During this period Allyn also provided support to HarvestRoad global projects participating in the development of the IMS/GLC (Instructional Management Systems / Global Learning Consortium) specifications, alignment of SCORM and S1000D interoperability as well as a range of activities associated with eLearning standards.
