Ahmad became President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors in March 2009.
Prior to MEMC Ahmad served as Executive Vice President of the Memory and Imaging Division, and head of global manufacturing for Cypress Semiconductor. In these roles, he was responsible for strategy, financial performance and revenue growth for the Memory and Imaging Division, as well as global manufacturing for all divisions of Cypress. Previously Ahmad served as managing director of Cypress' Low Power Memory Business Unit. Prior to these roles at Cypress, Ahmad served in sales at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC).
Ahmad holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and has completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University.

Ken joined MEMC in April 2006 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He was most recently employed by The Home Depot, where he was the Senior Vice President, Operations, covering all aspects of The Home Depot's operations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance, supporting all Home Depot stores in the United States and Mexico, as well as store operations and the global supply chain. Before Home Depot, Ken worked as Vice President for the Boeing Company where he led the audit and financial planning functions. He also held senior finance positions at several GE divisions earlier in his career. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from Saint Louis University.
Mike joined MEMC in September 2006 as Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining MEMC, he was a Director of Information Technology for the Uniprise Division of United HealthCare, in Minneapolis, MN. Previous to his employment with Uniprise, Mike held key leadership roles in information technology at Hussmann Corporation in Bridgeton, MO, and at Bausch & Lomb, where he was based in the United Kingdom.
Mike began his career in supply chain management at C. H. Dexter, a specialty non-wovens manufacturer in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. He then worked for Accenture in Hartford, Connecticut, as a manufacturing Consulting Manager, before joining Bausch & Lomb. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management from Michigan State University and an MBA from Washington University, in St. Louis, MO.

John was appointed Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing in October 2004. He joined MEMC in 1980 and worked in a variety of engineering and management positions. From 1995 to 2001, John worked as Technology Director at Taisil Electronic Materials, MEMC's joint venture in Taiwan. In 2001, John returned to MEMC's Corporate Headquarters in St Peters to work as Director of Product Marketing. In 2003, John was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and most recently was appointed to Senior Vice President of Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has also served as Chairman of the Silicon Manufacturer's Group (SMG), in the SEMI organization.
Shaker has been with MEMC since 1993, currently serving as Senior Vice President, Research and Development. He has also served as president of MEMC Japan, director of U.S. technology, corporate director for operations technology and director of R&D for MEMC Korea. In these positions, he has played a key role in developing proprietary technologies for MEMC. Shaker holds doctorate and master’s degrees in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.
Brad joined MEMC in September 2005 as Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining MEMC, Brad was a Partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, an international law firm, in their Palo Alto office. With Pillsbury, he represented a variety of leading Silicon Valley technology companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate securities transactions and general corporate matters.
Brad holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin in Accounting, Finance and Real Estate and Urban Land Development.
Steven M. Joslin, Ph.D., Director of Manufacturing Dr. Joslin is a former engineering manager at MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. where he was responsible for technology transfer, development, and continuous improvement of Cz growth processes. Dr. Joslin received his undergraduate, masters and doctorate from the University of Tennessee. He holds two patents.

Peter Blackmore has served as our Chief Executive Officer and President and as a director since July 2008, and served as our President and Chief Operating Officer from July 2007 to June 2008. From 2005 until he joined the Company, Mr. Blackmore served as Executive Vice President in charge of world-wide sales, marketing and technology at Unisys Corporation. Prior to joining Unisys in 2005, he served as Executive Vice President of the Customer Solutions Group at Hewlett-Packard Company from 2004 and as Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Systems Group from 2002 through 2004.
