Walden C. Rhines is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mentor Graphics, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation with revenue of $789 million in 2008. During his tenure at Mentor Graphics, revenue has more than doubled, growth rate since 1999 has been number one among the “Big 3” EDA companies and Mentor has grown the industry’s number one market share solutions in physical verification, design concept-through-functional verification and printed circuit board design. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments’ Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TI’s Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people. During his 21 years at TI, Rhines managed TI’s thrust into digital signal processing and supervised that business from inception with the TMS 320 family of DSP’s through growth to become the cornerstone of TI’s semiconductor technology. He was also responsible for development of the first TI speech synthesis devices (used in “Speak & Spell”) and is co-inventor of the GaN blue-violet light emitting diode (now important for DVD players). He was President of TI’s Data Systems Group and held numerous other semiconductor executive management positions. Rhines is currently in his fourth term as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation, Lewis and Clark College and the Portland Classic Wines Auction. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers' Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council and Sematech. Dr. Rhines holds a bachelor of science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Michigan, a master of science and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University, a master of business administration from Southern Methodist University and an Honorary Doctor of Technology degree from Nottingham Trent University.

Gregory K. Hinckley serves as Mentor's president. Before Hinckley joined Mentor in January of 1997, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of VLSI Technology, Inc. in San Jose, California. In the past he has held senior officer positions with Bio-Rad Laboratories and Raychem Corporation. Hinckley received his bachelor of arts in physics from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He was a Fulbright Scholar in applied mathematics at Nottingham University in Nottingham, England. He also holds a master of science in applied physics from University of California, San Diego and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ananthan Thandri is the vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of Mentor Graphics. Before joining Mentor, Thandri was most recently at Oracle Corporation as vice president, Information Technology. At Oracle Thandri was responsible for the IT organization supporting the Server Technologies Division. Prior to Oracle, Thandri worked for Cadence Design Systems for eleven years as vice president, Information Technology. At Cadence, Thandri implemented a variety of systems including SAP, Siebel, and a complete electronic fulfillment system. Prior to joining Cadence he held technical leadership roles at Mastech Corporation, ITC Ltd. and Fujitsu ICIM Ltd. Thandri has participated in several CIO conference panels throughout the United States. He was profiled in the January 2004 issue of Technology Venture Capital journal. Thandri graduated in mathematics from the University of Madras, India and holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College, California.

Don Maulsby joined Mentor Graphics in October of 1999. With over 28 years of industry experience in sales and general management responsibility, Maulsby has an extensive knowledge of technology markets and operations. Most recently Maulsby was President of Tri-Tech & Associates, a manufacturers representative corporation. Maulsby has also held several senior executive positions including Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Interphase Corporation, a data communications company. Prior to Interphase, Maulsby held positions as Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing as well as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Computing Division at VLSI Technology, Inc. Originally from Oklahoma City, Maulsby received both this graduate and undergraduate degrees from Southern Nazarene University.

Brian Derrick serves as the vice president of Corporate Marketing. Brian joined Mentor in 1997 as the marketing manager for Calibre and was instrumental in developing and executing the strategy that has enabled Calibre to become the industry-wide standard for physical verification. He played a key role in Mentor's acquisition of OPCT Inc. in 1998 and the successful integration of that technology into the Calibre product family, which has resulted in Calibre's Resolution Enhancement products also becoming the industry standard. Brian recently launched Mentor's new formal verification product, Formal Pro, and was also responsible for the company's parasitic extraction solutions. Prior to joining Mentor, Brian held several marketing positions of increasing responsibility at Allied Signal and ultimately managed the Instrument Systems marketing organization. Brian holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Idaho.

Based in Mentor's Warren, New Jersey office, Cantow has been with Mentor for over six years in several sales management roles. Prior to his work at Mentor, Cantow spent 11 years with Texas Instruments in sales, marketing and sales management roles including Global Account sales management and Wireless Solutions marketing management.

Most recently the general manager of Mentor's Meta Systems Divison, Selosse's responsibilities were expanded to include Mentor's emulation product offerings on a worldwide basis. Selosse is based in Mentor's office in Les Ulis, France. Selosse, who joined Mentor in November 2000, has extensive engineering and marketing experience. Prior to joining Mentor, he was in charge of Bull Open Systems Division. He has also held a variety of engineering and marketing management positions at IBM Networking Division, both in the U.S. and France. He holds an engineering degree in electronics.

Hanns Windele has worked for more than 20 years in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry. For the past 15 years he has held a variety of sales, marketing and management positions at Mentor Graphics with a proven track record of results. After finishing his master's degree in Electrical Engineering at Technical University Munich, Windele started as a sales engineer for Mentor Graphics in Germany. Later on he held the positions of sales manager, European Marketing Director, Managing Director of Western Europe and Managing Director of Central Europe at Mentor before he became Vice-President Europe. His experience has given him a deep knowledge of the EDA market all across Europe. Previous experience includes technical management for CAE systems at Tektronix. Windele is based in Mentor's European headquarters in Munich.

Henry Potts joined Mentor Graphics in March of 1999 as Vice President and General Manager of the Systems Design Division. Potts brings more than 33 years of experience in the electronics industry to his role at Mentor Graphics, including experience in IC & Systems development to serving as President and CEO of a venture capital funded startup. He served as a Senior Vice President for Hitachi Semiconductor where he oversaw all marketing and product development activities for microprocessor and embedded products for the US markets. He has also held senior management positions at Motorola, VLSI Technology, Schlumberger and Texas Instruments. Potts has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Sawicki is the vice president and general manager of the Design-to-Silicon division. A leading expert in IC nanometer design and manufacturing challenges, Sawicki is responsible for Mentor's industry-leading design-to-silicon products, including the Olympus-SoC place-and-route system, the Calibre physical verification and DFM platform, and Mentor's design-for-test product line. Sawicki joined Mentor Graphics in 1990 and has held previous positions in applications engineering, sales, marketing and management. He holds a BSEE from the University of Rochester and an MBA from Northeastern University's High Technology Program.

Based in Mentor’s sales office in Waltham, Mass., Corbacho has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience with software, semiconductors and optical solutions. Most recently he was the vice president of sales and marketing for NetOctave, a developer of silicon-based network security solutions. Prior to that, he was the director of North America Sales, Geographic and Key Accounts for Lucent Micro Electronics, and has held sales and management positions with VLSI and Motorola SPS. Corbacho has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and has completed the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.

Paul Hofstadler serves at Mentor's Vice President of Worldwide Consulting. He brings over 20 years of EDA services, sales, and marketing expertise. In addition to his previous work at Mentor, Mr. Hofstadler has extensive domestic and international service organization and sales channel development experience through his positions at Xynetix (VP of International Sales), Silicon Metrics (VP of Services, Business Development, and International Sales) and 360Bridge Corporation (President and CEO). Mr. Hofstadler holds a BSEE degree from the University of New Mexico and a MSEE degree from the University of Arizona.

Robert Hum, who joined Mentor with the IKOS Systems acquisition, was named vice president and general manager of the Design Verification and Test division. Hum has over 25 years of experience in worldwide engineering, marketing, business development and operations. Most recently the executive vice president and chief operating officer of IKOS, he has also held senior business and technology management positions at both Cadence Design Systems and Bell-Northern Research (Nortel). Hum has an MSEE from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Sharron Rotty has twenty years of experience in business operations and human resources management. Before joining Mentor, she was the senior HR executive at 6,000-employee SOLA International Inc. Prior to that, Sharron was corporate controller and human resources manager for Z-Tech Companies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Southwest Missouri State University, and an MBA from William Woods University.

Tony Adrian joined Mentor Graphics as vice president, corporate controller, reporting to Greg Hinckley. Adrian has over 30 years of experience in finance. He plays a key role in maximizing the company's management reporting requirements, helping to continue defining the financial structure that will help carry the company's products to a larger installed base. Adrian's wealth of international experience most recently includes marketing and implementation of a multi-million dollar operation in Australia.

Dennis B. Brophy is standards program manager for Mentor Graphics' silicon vendor operations. Dennis has been in the electronic design automation industry for the past 17 years. He was first with Hewlett-Packard for five years, then joined Mentor Graphics where he has held several positions the past 12 years. Dennis is the chair of the IEEE P1481 Delay and Power Calculation Working Group and chair of the IEEE 1076.4 Timing Working Group Technical Action Group (VITAL TAG). He is currently leading a group to standardize a delay and power calculation system which includes EDA vendor independent calculation methods to ensure timing and power calculation coherency across a broad set of EDA applications. He is also leading a group to extend the VITAL 1995 standard to include a built-in memory model, more accurate interconnect delay model, built-in skew check, and improvements to VITAL timing checks. Dennis is a board member of Open Verilog International and a board member of Virtual Socket Interface (VSI) Alliance for Mentor Graph ics. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Davis in electrical engineering and computer engineering in 1980.

Gottfried Daeuschinger is a Senior Consultant for Ben Franklin, LLC, assists in the European EDA market for the company. Gottfried is based in the Munich area and is a former Technical Support Leader for Mentor Graphics Corporation in Germany and has extensive experience in systems level design.

McManus retired from Charles Schwab as its senior vice president of finance. Prior to that, he held executive-level finance and management positions at companies including Pacific Express Airlines, Acurex Solar Corporation, Itel Corporation and Univest Venture Capital. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth.

Fontaine K. Richardson is a consultant and private investor and resides in Carlisle. He was a general partner of Eastech Management Company, a manager of venture capital funds, and a co-founder of Applicon Inc., an early provider of CAD/CAM products. He serves on the Board of Directors of Mentor Graphics Corporation (Oregon) and Network Engines (Massachusetts) and is a Director and Treasurer of the Carlisle Conservation Foundation and Carlisle Land Trust.

(a developer of semiconductors and software for advanced displays).
