Stephen M. Lacy is President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Meredith Corporation, with media and marketing operations across the country.He was elected to this position effective July 1, 2006.
Meredith publications serve 85 million Americans each month, while its television stations reach 10 percent of all U.S. households on a daily basis. Meredith’s major media brands include Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies’ Home Journal, Family Circle, Parents, and Fitness magazines, and it has local television stations in eight Top 35 markets, including Atlanta, Phoenix and Portland, OR.
Lacy has been instrumental in transforming Meredith into the leading publisher and content provider to women in the United States.He has overseen the integration of the Gruner + Jahr acquisition, the largest in the Company’s history, and the aggressive expansion of Meredith’s marketing communications and digital businesses.
Lacy joined Meredith in 1998 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.He was promoted to President of the Meredith Publishing Group in 2000 and was named President and Chief Operating Officer in 2004.
Lacy serves on the Boards of The Advertising Council and Magazine Publishers of America and is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of The Direct Marketing Association.Lacy is currently the Chair of the Greater Des Moines Partnership Board and also serves on the Boards of the Kansas State University Foundation and United Way of Central Iowa.

Paul Karpowicz is the President of the Meredith Broadcasting Group. He is responsible for the direction of Meredith's 12 television stations - including six in Top 30 markets - that reach 9 percent of America's television households. The Broadcasting Group accounts for over 25 percent of all Meredith Corporation revenues. Karpowicz was appointed to this position in February 2005.
Karpowicz has nearly 30 years experience in the industry. Prior to Meredith, Karpowicz spent more than 20 years at LIN. During his tenure at LIN, he presided over significant growth in its broadcasting business. Between 1994 and 2004, LIN's station group nearly doubled in size, from 12 to 23. He also served as Vice President and General Manager for WLNE-TV in Providence, Rhode Island.
Currently, Karpowicz is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters Executive Committee and serves on MSTV and BMI Boards. He is the former Chairman of the CBS Affiliates Board, the Television Board of the National Association of Broadcasters and the Television Bureau of Advertising Board. He has also served on the executive committees of the Rhode Island and Indiana Broadcasters Associations.

John S. Zieser serves as Chief Development Officer, General Counsel and Secretary of Meredith Corporation. He is responsible for managing the Company's business development function, as well as legal affairs, corporate communications and government relations. Zieser is also Secretary to the Meredith Board of Directors. Zieser has led Meredith’s business and strategic initiatives ranging from the purchase of the magazine franchises of Gruner + Jahr (Parents, Family Circle, Fitness, Ser Padres and Child), led several recent acquisitions of online marketing services and data analytics firms resulting in the transformation of Meredith’s high growth integrated marketing business, acquired and aligned with consumer digital companies including RealGirlsMedia, a fast-growing online content network, and forged significant strategic global licensing relationships with Walmart relating to the Better Homes and Gardens brand, and Realogy (the world’s leading franchisor of real estate brokerages). Zieser also leads the Company’s international business initiatives including over thirty-five licensing partnerships with major non-U.S. media partners around the globe.
Zieser is a well-recognized international speaker and panelist on business development and the digital marketplace, and regularly featured in leading trade and online sites including The Deal, TheDeal.com and Silicon Alley Insider. Zieser has also been featured in Super Lawyer and The National Law Journal.
Prior to joining Meredith in 1999, Zieser was Group President at First Data Merchant Services, a $400 million subsidiary of First Data Corporation. He joined First Data in 1993 and served in various executive positions. Prior to joining First Data, Zieser was with the multi-national law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, where he specialized in U.S. and international mergers, acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions. While at Sullivan & Cromwell, Zieser had posts in the U.S. as well as London and Melbourne Australia.
Zieser earned his law degree from Cornell University, graduating magna cum laude and serving as Senior Editor of the Law Review. Zieser earned both an MBA and a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.

Joseph H. Ceryanec is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Meredith Corporation. He assumed this position in October 2008. Ceryanec is responsible for all accounting, finance, tax and treasury operations for Meredith.
Ceryanec has approximately 25 years of financial experience, with the majority of his career spent at McLeodUSA, a major telecommunications company. At McLeodUSA, Ceryanec held increasingly responsible positions in the financial operation from 1996 to 2008, including Corporate Controller, Treasurer, Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer. When McLeodUSA was acquired by PAETEC Corporation – a leader in business telecommunications – in early 2008, Ceryanec was named President of its 13-state Central Region, where he had responsibility for sales, account development and sales engineering.
A Certified Public Accountant, Ceryanec worked at KPMG and Ernst & Young early in his career. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Ceryanec and his wife, LaNae, have three children.

Seymour is one of the industry’s most respected editorial leaders, and most recently served as the Editor-in-Chief for Marie Claire magazine. Under her direction, Marie Claire received a National Magazine Award nomination for General Excellence in 2006.
During her tenure with Marie Claire, Seymour spearheaded many of the magazine’s most recognized signature cause-related programs including the Time to Talk Day in Congress to raise awareness of the problems of domestic violence, and the One World/One Wish Campaign for the international relief organization Save the Children.
Her experience in the women’s lifestyle field includes serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Redbook magazine, where she repositioned the magazine and developed new editorial programs and features. She also guided Redbook to a National Magazine Award nomination for Personal Service for its comprehensive Breast Cancer Medbook, What to Do When You Find a Lump.
Seymour’s editorial experience also includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of YM; Beauty Director of Glamour; and contributing editor at Vogue. She is also the author of two books: On the Edge, 100 Years of Vogue and I Wish My Parents Understood.

Steven M. Cappaert joined Meredith in June 2003 as the company's Corporate Controller.
Before assuming his position at Meredith, Cappaert spent two years as Senior Vice President and Controller for United Stationers Inc. of Deerfield, IL, the nation's largest wholesale distributor of business products. Cappaert also served for six years as Senior Manager in the Chicago office of Ernst & Young and four years as a Senior Internal Auditor for Fortune Brands, Inc. of Lincolnshire, IL.
Cappaert earned a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Chicago in 1989. Additionally, he has a Master's of Accountancy degree, with distinction, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Commerce, summa cum laude, from DePaul University in Chicago. He serves on the boards of The Des Moines Playhouse and the Science Center of Iowa. Cappaert and his wife, Barbara, have two children.
Bob has joined Stauss-Terrus on a part-time bais this year, concentrating on the new ownership opportunities with The Inn at Okoboji. While Bob is relatively new to the Real Estate Industry, he has deep ties to the Iowa Great Lakes region. He and his family have been spending their summers in the area together for the last 25 years and they have owned their current West Lake cottage for 10 years. Bob has been making the trek to The Lakes from their home in Des Moines on a regular basis since 1982 where he has worked for Meredith Corporation since that time, and continues to do so.

Kerr is chairman of the board of Meredith Corporation. He was elected chairman in January 1998, having served as president and CEO from January 1, 1997 until June 30, 2006. In 1994, Kerr was named president and COO of Meredith, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business of the company's operating groups. At that time, Kerr was also appointed as a member of the Meredith Board of Directors and a member of the Board's executive committee.
Prior to that, Kerr served as president of the Meredith Magazine Group and executive vice president of the company, where he was responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of all magazine operations.
Prior to joining Meredith in September of 1991, Kerr was a vice president of The New York Times Company and president of its magazine group, a position he held since 1984. Kerr has also held posts with Dillon, Read & Co., and McKinsey and Company.
A native of Seattle, Kerr is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Washington. He earned a degree in modern history as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Mr. Craigie, 55, has been our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since May 2007. From July 2004 until May 2007, he was our President and Chief Executive Officer. From December 1998 through September 2003, he was President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Spalding Sports Worldwide and its successor, Top-Flite Golf Co. During the period from 1983 to November 1998, Mr. Craigie held various senior management positions with Kraft Foods Inc. Prior to entering private industry, he served for six years as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Meredith Corporation, a media and marketing company, Graham Windham, a non-profit organization helping at-risk children and youth, and the Grocery Manufacturer s Association, an industry council consisting of chief executive officers from leading consumer packaged goods companies. Mr. Craigie has been a Director of Church & Dwight since 2004.

Philip A. Marineau has served on our Board of Directors since February 2007 and currently is the chairman of the Board. Since October 2008, Mr. Marineau has been partner of LNK Partners, a private equity firm. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Marineau served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Levi Strauss, & Co. From 1997 to 1999, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pepsi-Cola North America. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Meredith Corporation and is the chair of Meredith Corporation's Audit Committee. Mr. Marineau holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University. There are no family relationships among any of our directors and executive officers.

Charles D. Peebler, Jr. is a founding member and Managing Director of Plum Capital LLC, a successful venture capital company. Plum makes investments primarily in expansion stage media companies through preferred equity securities. The Fund intends to capitalize on growth oriented media companies' significant and unmet need for "smart" private equity capital. He is the retired Chairman Emeritus of True North Communications, Inc., the sixth largest advertising agency holding company in the world. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of True North Diversified Companies, which include BSMG Worldwide, MGR, Wahlstrom & Company, Bozell Wellness Worldwide, Tierney & Partners, Consulting Services, and others. TN Media and Temerlin McClain also reported to Mr. Peebler. He has served on the boards of the American Association of Advertising Agencies, the Advertising Council, the American Advertising Federation, and as chair of the Professionals in Advertising Political Action Committee. Chuck is Honorary Chairman of the Board of the American Craft Museum. Among his other affiliations are memberships on the boards of the Chief Executives Organization, Valmont Industries, the Taft School, the National Center for Learning Disabilities, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International and the New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Corporate Committee for Central Park Conservancy, a member of the Advisory Committee of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital Medical Center's Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center and serves, at the request of Mayor Bloomberg, on the Private Industry Council. He is former Chairman of the United States Information Agency's Marketing Resource Committee and a former member of the Agency for International Development's Business Advisory Council. He also formerly served on the boards of the Presbyterian Hospital, (National) Junior Achievement, Southampton Hospital, the Greater New York Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America, the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club and as a member of the Campaign Steering Committee for the Morehouse School of Medicine. In recent years, Chuck has been honored by the American Craft Museum, selected as Advertising Man of the Year by the B'nai B'rith and the Advertising Club of New York, and received the Lillian Wald Award from the Visiting Nurse Service. Chuck lives in New York with his wife, the former Tonita Worley, and their son Todd. He has two grown sons, David and Mark.
