Just recently, Kovac was selected as a winner in the Crain's Detroit Business Health Care Heroes contest. The corporate achievement award in health care honored Kovac for successfully implementing an innovative health benefits practice that acknowledged a problem in health care. Kovac and Metaldyne were recognized for its unique and creative wellness program. Kovac joined Metaldyne in 2001 as a compensation and benefits consultant. She also served as a corporate benefits manager and director of compensation and benefits prior to being appointed to her previous position of vice president of Human Resources. Kovac played a key role in developing the innovative labor agreement with the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) that was part of the Metaldyne's acquisition of the Chrysler's Group's New Castle, IN facility in 2004. She works closely with the UAW and the company's other union partners to build strong and collaborative relationships with Metaldyne's employees around the world. Before joining Metaldyne, Kovac worked as a corporate human resources director in the automotive industry. Her prior professional experience includes 14 years with Comerica Bank, where she served in a variety of human resources positions, including vice president of employee benefits. Kovac holds a bachelor's degree and a Master's of Business Administration degree, both from Lawrence Technological University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Managers, Human Resources of Greater Detroit, OESA Human Resources Council, Manufacturers Alliance Human Resources Council and Philanthropy Council of Henry Ford Health Systems. Kovac is also a board member on Henry Ford Hospital Wyandotte's Board of Trustees. She works out of Metaldyne's corporate headquarters in Plymouth, MI.

In his position as vice president and general manager of European Components, Denis Bardou oversees manufacturing operations, investments, finance and human resources at five Metaldyne plants in Europe. He also plays an integral role in the technical and commercial activities linked to new developments within Chassis' market. In his role as vice president of Advanced Manufacturing, Chassis, Dennis Cutright is responsible for designing manufacturing processes, equipment selection, launching new Chassis Programs, standardizing processes and leading lean manufacturing improvement activities. He has also been responsible for leading the Chassis Supplier Quality efforts focused on improving the product quality of the supply base. He has been with Metaldyne since 1994 in various positions. He was the Vice President of Quality and MOS and led the start up of Metaldyne University. Most recently he was responsible for Lean Manufacturing as Director of Continuous Improvement in the Powertrain Group. Prior to Metaldyne, he worked in various positions focused on process re-engineering, leadership development, quality system implementation and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for companies such as Masco Corporation, EMCO, OSRAM Sylvania, Keeler Brass, Harmon Motive International and TRW Airbag Division. Mr. Cutright is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, quality engineer, reliability engineer, quality manager and holds American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as an internal auditor. He has also completed the Lean Manufacturing Certification Program through the University of Michigan. He works out of Metaldyne's corporate headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan.

In his role as vice president, Sales and Engineering, Asia Pacific, Jim Hudak is spearheading the plan to build a regional Metaldyne Technical Center in Japan, increasing Metaldyne's business with Asian automakers, and building and leading a team of engineering and commercial resources covering Japan, China, Korea, India and the ASEAN countries to support Metaldyne's Asian growth plans. He is also responsible for development and implementation of customer technical and commercial synergies between Metaldyne and its parent company Asahi Tec, in Asia. Mr. Hudak is also the executive in charge of the Asia Pacific region. In this role, he represents the company regionally in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, media, government and professional agencies and is also responsible for the research and evaluation of commercial, buisness and regulatory trends in the region to assist the company's growth strategies. In his previous role, Mr. Hudak served as managing director, Metaldyne Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for leading the development and implementation of Metaldyne's growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region. Earlier, he has served in a variety of sales and program management positions responsible for both domestic and Asia Pacific customers across Metaldyne's Powertrain and Chassis Groups. Mr. Hudak has worked for Metaldyne since 1995, when he joined the company as account manager for Asia Pacific customers. He received his bachelor's degree in international relations from Michigan State University's James Madison College. Upon graduation, he lived in Japan for more than two years while working in the Japanese public school system and studying Japanese language and arts at the Kawaiijuku School in Nagoya, Japan. He also served as a research analyst at the United Nations. Mr. Hudak is located at Metaldyne's Yokohama, Japan, sales and engineering office.

JoAnne Ryan is vice president and general manager of Metaldyne's Metal Components business unit. Previously, Ms. Ryan was vice president and general manager of Metaldyne's China Operations, responsible for Metaldyne's Powertrain and Chassis Groups overall operations in China. Prior to this role, she was managing director, Powertrain Group Operations - China. In this position she played a key role in the establishment of the new Suzhou plant. By working closely with Business Development and Powertrain she identified sales opportunities and prepared the initial facility launch plan for the new facility. Before that, Ms. Ryan served as director of planning and administration for Sintered Components. Her responsibilities included facility site selection, where she surveyed various regions within China for facility sites and negotiated incentives with provincial governments. She also worked on joint venture development where she evaluated a number of joint venture partners, negotiated agreements and performed due diligence. Ms. Ryan joined Metaldyne in June of 1977 as an accountant. She later was named general manager, Assembly Operations at Metaldyne's St. Marys plant in Pennsylvania. She has also held the positions of director of operations, St. Marys and Brazil as well as plant manager of St. Marys. She is a member of the Board of Governors for the OESA China Strategy Council. Ms. Ryan holds a bachelor of science degree in business management - finance from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and was named University Scholar while studying there. Ms. Ryan works out of China at Metaldyne China Operations in Suzhou as well as Metaldyne's corporate headquarters Plymouth, Michigan.

As the Powertrain Group's vice president of sales and engineering, Dr. Juergen Christian Depp is responsible for marketing, sales and product engineering for the Group's products in Europe. Since January 1, 2004, he also serves as managing director of Metaldyne International Deutschland GmbH, the Powertrain Group's Technical Center in Dieburg, Germany (near Frankfurt). Prior to joining Metaldyne, Depp spent four years as a product engineer and engineering manager at Metzeler, a German based manufacturer of anti-vibration systems. He also spent ten years at Palsis, where he began as key account manager and later served as general manager. Depp also served as managing director of engineering and sales at Winkelmann Palsis Motortechnik (WPM), a leading manufacturer of engine components and metal-formed parts in Europe. Depp received his degrees (Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing.) in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.

In her role as vice president of Corporate Communications, Marge Sorge is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a strategic communications plan that enhances and promotes Metaldyne's corporate reputation and image to all stakeholders. She provides executive leadership for all internal and external communications, including public relations, internal communications, marketing communications, government affairs and corporate events. Sorge was formerly a principal in M3 Strategies, which provides executive-level strategic consulting in relationship management, strategic communications, media and public relations to corporations, government and other organizations She has extensive background in the automotive industry as a journalist, executive and consultant. She served as director of corporate communications for Visteon Corporation and as an executive on loan to Governor Jennifer Granholm and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth. She also was editor-in-chief of Automotive Industries magazine, executive editor of Ward's Auto World, labor and feature editor at Automotive News and a staff writer at The Detroit News. She also provided on-air auto reports to radio station WJR 760-AM in Detroit and was a business news correspondent for Reuters News Service. Sorge is a trustee of Kettering University. She also is a board member of the Society of Automotive Analysts, the Automotive Press Association and Forgotten Harvest of SE Michigan and she is on the Advisory Panel for the Automotive Hall of Fame. Sorge has a BA in journalism from Michigan State University.
