Mr. Pierre Choquette of Vancouver, Canada, is Chairman of the Board of Methanex. He was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Methanex from 2003 to 2004 and President and Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 2003. Mr. Choquette is also a director of the CPP Investment Board. Mr. Choquette holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Science in Chemical Engineering from Laval University. In addition, he is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Methanex for the past four years, Mr. Aitken has celebrated many milestones.
This year, Methanex announced it is proceeding with a 1.3 million tonne methanol facility at Damietta, Egypt. Construction is now underway with commercial
methanol production slated for 2010.
Methanex’s presence in Asia Pacific has also expanded. The company’s regional headquarters have been relocated to Hong Kong and its office in Shanghai
is growing. Last year, the company entered into a longterm arrangement with China’s XinAo Group to participate in a dimethyl ether production facility near Shanghai. In the past few years, Methanex also expanded its terminal in Yeosu, Korea, to ensure better security of supply for the entire Asia Pacific region.
In 2005, Methanex celebrated the opening of Chile’s fourth methanol plant, making the Chilean site Methanex’s largest methanol facility capable of providing almost 12 per cent of the world’s methanol.
An internationally experienced executive, Mr. Aitken has, for nearly 30 years, lived and worked in five different countries on assignments of increasing complexity and seniority. Before assuming his current role as President and CEO, he held a variety of
positions with Methanex, including President and Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific. In the 1990s, Mr. Aitken led a review of Methanex’s global organization that evolved into its current operating structure. He was influential in establishing Methanex’s core strategies of global leadership, low cost and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Methanex, Mr. Aitken was Executive Director of Cape Horn Methanol in Santiago, Chile, from 1991 to 1993. From 1979 to 1991, he also held a number of managerial positions with Fletcher Challenge Limited in New Zealand.
Mr. Aitken holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University. He also has an Associate Chartered Accountant designation and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He is married and has two grown children. When he finds a spare moment, chances are you will find him skiing, golfing or playing squash.

From 1996 to 2001, he was the Canadian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China. Monica is the strategic leader for Intervera and brings over twenty five years of senior executive experience to the position. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard University and a Masters of Engineering from Stanford University. She has or currently maintains several board positions for organizations such as Methanex, EntX Capital, Ranger Oil, Echo Bay Mines, SMED International, Finning International and the Calgary Opera Society.
