Linda Chase is the acting president of Quark, and the senior vice president of enterprise product development. She is responsible for product strategy, development, and finance for the QuarkCommerce business unit. Chase joined Quark in 1998 and has held a range of financial, general management, and product development positions. She brings more than 20 years of experience as a financial officer for catalog publishing and direct marketing companies. Prior to coming to Quark, she was vice president of finance at Shop At Home, a catalog/direct marketing company. She has also worked as vice president/controller of Leman Publications (a subsidiary of Rodale Press), and controller of Gordon's Books. Chase holds a B.A. from University of Northern Colorado and an M.B.A. from Regis University. She is a member of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association, the DMA's International Council, eWomen Network, and the Denver Software Organization. Chase is based in Denver, Colorado.

Jim Haggarty focuses on the IT infrastructure at Quark to ensure efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase revenues. Haggarty has more than 30 years of information technology and operations experience. Throughout his career, he has introduced strategic technology plans across diverse industries, building world-class infrastructures and serving as a lead change agent for corporate growth initiatives. After beginning his career with Bayer AG in Montreal, Haggarty served as a director of systems development for Domtar Inc. and as CIO for Domtar Gypsum. He was also vice president of information technology at Arbortext. A fluent French speaker, Haggarty earned his bachelor's of science from Loyola College in Montreal before completing a number of technical certificates.

Graham Freeman joined Quark as senior vice president of sales for Latin America and Asia in May 2007. With nearly three decades of experience in technology sales, marketing and business development, Freeman is responsible for leading Quark's expansion in these emerging markets and helping to drive Quark's overall global sales strategy. Freeman's experience in publishing technology includes 10 years in management and executive roles with Adobe Systems Incorporated. Freeman led the realignment of Adobe's worldwide sales organization and headed the company's efforts to establish Asia/Pacific and Latin American territories. Freeman has also led efforts to build channel sales operations for companies including Arbortext, for whom he established a leading presence in the Asia/Pacific and Latin American territories. Freeman has also previously held several marketing and sales management and director roles for Compaq Australia and IBM Australia. Freeman earned his bachelor's of commerce in marketing and business from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Mark Benfer kam im August 2007 als Senior Vice President fur den Vertrieb in Nordamerika zu Quark. Er hat uber 20 Jahre lang im technischen Vertrieb gearbeitet und weltweit Erfahrungen beim Aufbau und der Leitung von Vertriebsteams in fuhrenden Unternehmen gesammelt. Benfer ist fur die Steuerung des Direktvertriebs und die Betreuung samtlicher Vertriebskanale in Nordamerika verantwortlich und treibt mit schlagkraftigen Initiativen das Wachstum im Desktop- und Enterprise-Markt voran. Zuletzt war Benfer als Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales bei HealthMedia tatig. Unter anderem hat er auch als Vice President of Worldwide Sales fur Arbortext gearbeitet und war 17 Jahre lang bei GE und bei Tochterunternehmen von GE beschaftigt. Benfer hat einen Bachelor of Commerce der Dalhousie University in Halifax (Kanada) und einen Master of Business Administration (MBA) der Oxford Brookes University in Headington (Gro britannien).

Matthew Wallis oversees all sales and services responsibilities for Europe and Africa. Wallis was formerly vice president for global sales and marketing at Blue Order Ltd. His career of more than 20 years spans both major corporations, such as Hewlett-Packard and Motorola, and startups, such as Blue Order and Artesia Technologies. His focus has been on the development of sales and service organizations, covering a broad range of vertical markets. Wallis began his career with Hewlett-Packard after obtaining a degree in control engineering from Sheffield Polytechnic. He also holds a diploma in strategic business from the Institute of Directors (IoD), of which he is also a member.

Paul Brothe ist bei Quark fur den Kundendienst, den technischen Support und die Produktabwicklung in Asien, Europa und den USA zustandig. Er konnte in verschiedenen Positionen internationale Erfahrungen sammeln, darunter in den Bereichen Operations, Integration, Auditing, Programmmanagement und Marketing. Bevor er seine Tatigkeit bei Quark aufnahm, war Brothe als Vice President of Operations bei McDATA beschaftigt, wo er zuvor Positionen in den Bereichen Integration, Herstellung und Vertrieb Europa, Nahost und Afrika (EMEA) innehatte. Zudem war Brothe in fuhrenden Positionen bei Qwest Communications tatig. Brothe wurde im US-Bundesstaat Colorado geboren und hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss im Finanzwesen des Metropolitan State College in Denver (USA). An der University of Colorado in Denver erwarb er daruber hinaus zwei weitere Master-Abschlusse: den Master in internationaler Betriebswirtschaft und den Master im Finanzwesen.

Ronnie Thomson ist verantwortlich fur die Forschung, Entwicklung und Qualitatssicherung aller Desktop- und Enterprise-Produkte von Quark sowie deren Benutzerfreundlichkeit. Er verfugt uber reichhaltige Erfahrungen bei der Entwicklung und Markteinfuhrung kommerzieller Produkte und dem Aufbau hochleistungsfahiger Teams. Zudem kennt er sich mit der Entwicklung von Produktstrategien genauso gut aus wie mit dem Produktmanagement. Bevor Thomson zu Quark kam, war er Director of Research and Development fur Unified-Messaging-Produkte bei Avaya, wo er neben der Produktentwicklung und Produktstrategie auch fur die langfristige Unternehmensentwicklung verantwortlich war. Davor arbeitete er mehrere Jahre als Vice President of Engineering bei Centra Software. Thomson stammt aus Schottland und hat an der University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (Gro britannien) in Computerwissenschaften promoviert.

Terry Welty kam 2007 als Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing zu Quark. In dieser Position ist er fur das weltweite Marketing zustandig und hat die Verantwortung fur die Bereiche Unternehmenskommunikation, Werbegestaltung, Online-Marketing, Veranstaltungen und Direktmarketing. Welty war als Vice President of Marketing bei Arbortext tatig, bevor er zu Quark kam. Dort hat er sich um die Neuausrichtung des Unternehmens und die Reichweite von Marketingma nahmen gekummert, sodass die Nachfrage gesteigert und der Bekanntheitsgrad erhoht werden konnte. Zuvor arbeitete Welty als Vice President of Marketing bei HAHT Commerce, wo er das Unternehmen und dessen Produkte neu am Markt positionierte. Seinen Bachelor im Bereich Werbung und Marketing hat Welty an der Texas Tech University gemacht. Zudem hat er einen MBA in International Business Administration der Baylor University (USA).

Claire Hancock ist fur den Bereich Personal und strategische Planung bei Quark zustandig. Hancock verfugt uber weitreichende Erfahrungen in der Organisationsentwicklung, bei der Personalbeschaffung und Weiterbildung sowie der Entwicklung von Personalprogrammen und Konzepten fur die Personalverwaltung. Bevor sie zu Quark kam, war sie als Vice President of Operations bei Promotional Products Association International einem Unternehmen in Irving, im US-Bundesstaat Texas tatig und trug Verantwortung fur die Bereiche Finanzen, IT und Personal. Hancock arbeitete als Vice President, Direktor und Regional Manager Personal fur Unternehmen wie Alatiere, TPN Register und Coopers & Lybrand. Sie besitzt einen Master in General Administration and Human Resources Management der University of Maryland University College (UMUC) sowie einen Bachelor of Science der Towson State University im US-Bundesstaat Maryland. Zudem ist Hancock Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Dave White joined Quark in November 2008 as vice president of alliances and emerging technology. With nearly two decades in the publishing software industry, White is responsible for leading the development of Quark?s strategic partnerships and identifying business opportunities across the company?s desktop and enterprise businesses. Prior to joining Quark, White was vice president of product strategy at PTC and Arbortext where he led key initiatives for executing on emerging technologies, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions. He has also held roles in sales, product management, engineering, and business development. With extensive knowledge of a broad range of science and technology, White has helped define XML standards and has spoken at a variety of publishing conferences. White graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering technology.

Nick is Sales Support Manager for Quark, the leading povider of software and solutions for the publishing industry. He has worked at Quark for 7 years during which time he has had a variety of roles including consultancy and product management. He has extensive knowledge of digital asset management and content management. Nick is one of Quark's main evangelists and regularly speaks at events and tradeshows. Nick is also Quark's representative on the Ghent PDF Workgroup and the pass4press committee in the UK.

Distinguished Fellow of the Santa Fe Institute Murray Gell-Mann won the 1969 Nobel Prize in physics for his work on the theory of elementary particles. He is the author of The Quark and the Jaguar and The Eightfold Way.

Peter Jensen ist seit 2006 General Counsel bei Quark und damit weltweit fur samtliche rechtlichen Aspekte der Geschaftsaktivitaten von Quark zustandig. Er bringt eine uber 17-jahrige, reiche juristische Erfahrung mit zu Quark und kennt sich unter anderem in den Bereichen Fusionen und Ubernahmen, Unternehmensfinanzen sowie nationale und internationale strategische Entwicklungs- und Vertriebspartnerschaften aus. Vor seinem Einstieg bei Quark war Jensen Senior Corporate and Securities Counsel bei Samsonite, Vice President und General Counsel bei Colorado MEDtech, einem borsennotierten Unternehmen fur Medizinsoftware und -produkte, sowie Partner bei Chrisman, Bynum & Johnson (jetzt Faegre & Benson). Jensen hat ein Studium der Rechtswissenschaften an der University of Michigan absolviert und verfugt uber einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Geologie des Colorado College in Colorado Springs.

Sophia Farina is a member of the Quark Strategic Marketing team focused on enterprise products. Sophia has 15 years of experience in digital publishing solutions and brings her knowledge of variable data publishing solutions that spans software, hardware, and automated document workflows to Quark. She has spoken at many industry events and has presented product strategies and briefings to large enterprise customers around the world. Prior to joining Quark, Sophia directed the worldwide software partner program for IBM Printing System Division.
