Recently named as the Executive Vice President of Operations, Mr. Sawitsky oversees the following areas: Manufacturing, Automation, Quality Control, Distribution, Logistics and Purchasing. Mr. Sawitsky is one of two executive vice presidents responsible for the day-to-day management of Metrologic. In this capacity, Mr. Sawitsky reports to C. Harry Knowles, interim CEO. Prior to his executive appointment, Mr. Sawitsky served as Metrologic's Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations since November 1999. Mr. Sawitsky joined the company as its production manager in 1998. Metrologic recruited Mr. Sawitsky because of his considerable manufacturing experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets. Before coming to Metrologic, Mr. Sawitsky worked for Zenith Electronic, a manufacturer of consumer electronics and ICI Composites, a manufacturer of specialty polymer materials for the aerospace and industrial markets. After earning a degree in aerospace engineering from the US Naval Academy 1984, Mr. Sawitsky served five years as a commissioned officer in the US Navy.

Since joining Metrologic straight from college as an optical engineer in 1992, Mr. Schmidt has made significant contributions to the company's record success over the last 14 years. In that time, he has helped Metrologic raise $57 million dollars in the equity market since the third quarter of 2003, increased the company's compound annual growth rate by 16% since 1994 and nearly doubled the company's market share since 1999. Mr. Harrison joined Metrologic in April 2006 as Vice President and General Counsel after providing the company with nearly 17 years of outstanding service as a private attorney. In his new role, Mr. Harrison is responsible for the management of Metrologic's legal affairs. Before his recent appointment with Metrologic, Mr. Harrison practiced law for Capehart & Scatchard from 1975 to 2006 and served as the firm's managing shareholder from 1997 2000. Dale M. Fischer has served as Vice President, International Sales since 1994. Previously, he served as our Director of International Marketing and Sales from 1990 to 1993. From 1989 to 1990, Mr. Fischer was Chairman of Great Valley Corporation, a worldwide marketing and product development company. From 1967 until 1988, Mr. Fischer held several positions with TRW Electronics Component Group ("TRW"), most recently as International Marketing, Sales and Licensing Director. Mr. Fischer was responsible for the implementation of a joint venture in Japan and the establishment of seven technology and manufacturing licenses throughout the world. Since Mr. DiNoia's appointment to Vice President, North American Sales in 2004, the Metrologic North America region (NA) has made significant contributions to increasing the company's overall revenues and market share.
