Tim Newkirk has served as president of MGP Ingredients, Inc. since October 2006 and as chief executive officer since March 2008. He previously also served as chief operating officer from March 2006 to March 2008. He began his career with MGP Ingredients in 1991, serving initially as a distillery shift manager and later as a process engineer, project engineer and quality control manager at the Company’s Atchison plant. He was promoted to manager of the Company’s Pekin, Ill., plant in 1997.
In the spring of 2000, Mr. Newkirk accepted the position of vice president of operations for the former High Plains Corporation, an ethanol production company located in Wichita, Kan. He became vice president of global operations for Abengoa Bioenergy S.L. following that company’s acquisition of High Plains in January 2002. He was promoted to chief operating officer of Abengoa Bioenergy Corporation in August, 2003 and held that position until his return to MGP Ingredients as director of operations in May 2005.
In his prior capacity as chief operating officer, Mr. Newkirk primarily was responsible for overseeing operations at MGPI’s plants in Atchison and in Pekin, Illinois, where the majority of the company’s protein and starch ingredients and all of its distillery products, including both food grade and fuel grade alcohol, are produced. He additionally has overseen sales and marketing functions in the Company’s distillery products and ingredients business segments.
A native of Pittsburg, Kansas, Mr. Newkirk spent most of his youth in Atchison and graduated from Atchison High School in 1986. He received a bachelor of science degree in engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1991 and earned a master’s degree in business administration at the Olin School of Business at Washington University, St. Louis, in February 2006.

Dr. Maningat joined the Company in 1986. He has served as Vice President of Application Technology
and Technical Services since June 2002. Previously, he was Corporate Director of Research and Development and Technical Marketing from 1997 to 2002. He served as Corporate Director of Research and Development and
Quality Control for the Company from 1993 to 1997.
Mr. Rindom joined the Company in 1980. He has served as Vice President, Human Resources since June
2000. He was Corporate Director of Human Relations from 1992 to June 2000, Personnel Director from 1988 to
1992, and Assistant Personnel Director from 1984 to 1988.
Mr. Schrick, a Director since 1987, joined the Company in 1973. He has served as Vice President of Engineering and Corporate Director of Distillery Products Manufacturing since June, 2008. He previously was Vice President, Manufacturing and Engineering since July 2002. He served as Vice President - Operations from 1992 until July 2002. From 1984 to 1992, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Pekin plant. From 1982 to 1984, he was the Plant Manager of the Pekin Plant. Prior to 1982, he was Production Manager at the Atchison plant.
Mr. Pickman joined the Company in 1985. He has served as Vice President, Corporate Relations and
Marketing Services since June 2000. Previously he was Executive Director of Corporate Relations from 1999 to June 2000 and prior to that Corporate Director of Public and Investor Relations. Between 1985 and 1989 he served as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Administration for the Company’s former subsidiary, McCormick Distilling Company, Weston, Missouri.

Ms. Myers joined the Company in 1996. She has served as Secretary since October 1996 and as Executive
Assistant to the President since 1999. Previously, she was executive secretary for Superintendent of Schools for Unified School District 409, Atchison, Kansas.
Ladd M. Seaberg, chairman of the board of directors of MGP Ingredients, Inc., served as president of the Company from 1980 until October 2006. He additionally held the post of chief executive officer from 1988 to March 2008. He rose from distillery production manager in 1969 to vice president and manager of the Company’s starch division in 1970. He was made vice president and plant manager in 1972, and served as general manager for one year prior to being named president. He was made chairman of the board in October 2006.
Mr. Seaberg is past president of the International Wheat Gluten Association and currently president of the U.S. Wheat Gluten Industry Council. He is a member of the USDA Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for grains, feeds and oil seeds; the American Institute of Chemical Engineers; the Water Pollution Control Federation; and the Technical Committee of the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S.
Mr. Seaberg also is chairman of the Atchison Area Economic Development Council and the Santa Fe Depot Board of Trustees, ex-officio chair of the Lewis and Clark Trail for a two-county area, a member of the Board of Directors of the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum and the Board of Directors of the Atchison County Historical Society, a past member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and past president and chairman of the Board for the Kansas City Presidents’ Organization.
In addition to MGP Ingredients, Inc., Mr. Seaberg is a board member of Commerce Bank of Kansas City, as well as Exchange National Bank and Trust Company, Atchison. He has served on the boards of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Atchison Leather Products Company. He additionally is a former member and past president of the Atchison Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; past president of Atchison Kiwanis, past vice president of the Kansas Jaycees, and former general chairman and special gifts chairman of the Atchison Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
A native of Beaumont, Tex., Mr. Seaberg earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University in 1969.
Dr. Schaller, age 63, has been a director since October, 1997. His current term expires in 2009. He is Chairman of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Review Committee. He currently provides, and from 1996 through November 2001 provided, consulting services through his consulting firm, Schaller Consulting. He was Vice President of Research and Development of International Multifoods Corp., of Minneapolis, Minnesota, from November 2001 through June 2003. He retired from Kellogg Co. in 1996 after 25 years of service. He served Kellogg as its Senior Vice President Scientific Affairs from 1994 until 1996, and previously was Senior Vice President Research, Quality and Nutrition for Kellogg.

Mr. Gradinger, age 64, has been a director since June 2005. His current term expires in 2008. John E. Byom brings broad financial strategic and operating experience to Prestige Brands Holdings, Inc. His background includes high level positions at The J.M. Smucker Company and International Multifoods Corporation, two consumer products companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Byom is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He is a member of the Board of Directors of MGP Ingredients and chairs their Audit Committee.
John's 30 years of business experience started in advertising at William Esty and Benton Bowles. He then joined Lever Brothers where he rose to the level of Senior Vice President of Marketing. John was recruited by Londonbased Grand Metropolitan to be Senior Vice President of Marketing Development. At Grand Metropolitan, John was responsible for the integration of the newly acquired Pillsbury Company. John also served as President of Green Giant, President of Pillsbury International, and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Brand Development which included responsibility for business strategy, business development including mergers and acquisitions, and global brand custodianship. When Grand Metropolitan merged with Guinness to form Diageo, John was selected to develop the strategy that would unlock the organic growth potential of their global brands, once the cost cutting synergies were achieved. The outcome of John's efforts led to the creation of The Diageo Way of Brand Building, the shared business building platform across all Diageo companies (Pillsbury, Burger King, Guinness, United Distillers and Vinters). Over 5,000 people worldwide from Diageo and their agencies have been trained in this process. As a founding partner and Chairman of Stellus, John applies his global experiences in business strategy and brand building by helping corporate leaders to accelerate growth in consumer and business-tobusiness companies of all sizes. He also guides leadership teams in sustaining growth by managing the implications of their business strategy throughout the organization.
