Toshio Nakajima became president and CEO of NEC Electronics on November 1, 2005. In his more than 30 years with NEC companies, Mr. Nakajima has held a variety of executive management positions. In August 2001, he was appointed president and chief operating officer of NEC Electronics America, and in January 2002 became its president and chief executive officer, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and executing the company's strategies and goals as a major supplier of system LSI solutions in the Americas. In June 2004, Mr. Nakajima was appointed to the NEC Electronics Corporation board of directors as a member of the board, and in April 2005, he was named as chairman of the board of directors for NEC Electronics America.
