Reverend Ed McDaniel joined the Pastoral Care Department as an associate staff chaplain in the spring of 2006. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Delta State University and a Master of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. For the past 25 years, McDaniel served as a military chaplain with the U.S. Army Reserve. McDaniel has over 40 years experience as a pastor having served churches in Winona, Ridgeland, Richland, Greenwood and other Mississippi cities. McDaniel and his wife, Libby, are the parents of three daughters and a son.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chaplain Michael Williamson joined the Pastoral Care Department in 2006 after finishing eight units of Clinical Pastoral Education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (political science/journalism) from Baylor University with extensive study in history and English. In addition, he completed a Master of Theological Studies degree at Brite Divinity School of Texas Christian University and was awarded a Master of Business Administration degree from Mississippi College. Moreover, he has performed chaplaincy duties in crisis intervention, cross-cultural, urban and prison ministry settings. At Baptist, Williamson is responsible for ministry on several units including surgery, oncology and pediatrics. Williamson is a member of the Mississippi Baptist Chaplains' Association and the Mississippi Chaplains' Association. He and his wife, Amy (an instructor at Mississippi College) are active members of Northside Baptist Church in Clinton.
