Prior to joining Modern Bank, Mr. Goverman served in senior roles at HSBC Bank USA, N.A. for over 12 years. At HSBC he was responsible for the bank's relationships with key high net worth clients, including real estate owners/developers, private equity investors, venture capitalists, and capital markets participants. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Goverman held a similar position with the Citibank Private Bank. Prior to his Private Banking assignments, Mr. Goverman was involved in several commercial/transactional-lending environments involved in asset based lending, including corporate asset funding (asset-acceleration strategies for the largest multi-national corporations, Vendor Financing, and Dealer Floor Planning).

Mr. Sabatini was fomerly Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of U.S.B. Holding Co., Inc. (a New York Stock Exchange Company) from 1995 to 2006, and its wholly-owned commercial bank subsidiary, Union State Bank from 1994 to 2006. He was also a board director of U.S.B. Holding Co., Inc. Prior to Union State Bank, he was an Audit Partner at Ernst & Young LLP, where he specialized in the banking industry. His career began in 1973 with Hurdman and Cranstoun, where he provided a broad range of audit, accounting and consulting services. Mr. Sabatini is a member of many accounting and financial organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he served as chairman of several committees. Mr. Sabatini also serves as a member of the Tax Committee of the New York Bankers Association, and previously served on the Regulatory Review Committee of the Independent Community Bankers Association and on the Accounting Committee of the American Bankers Association. Mr. Sabatini serves on the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation and is currently the Chairman of that organization and serves as a trustee of Dominican College of Blauvelt NY. Mr. Sabatini has served as director and President of the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of Southern New York, was a former director of Hudson Valley Affordable Housing Finance Corporation, and a former member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Westchester County Business Journal.
