Dow Jones Description

The Academy of Molecular Imaging is a progressive organization that builds the school of thought, scientific paradigms and clinical practices of Molecular Imaging to advance the growing field of Molecular Medicine. This takes place through: - The AMI Annual Conference. - Programs throughout the year that focus on education in molecular imaging, from basic science to clinical practice. - Interactions with government agencies, foundations and the public to increase their knowledge and awareness of molecular imaging and to gain their support. - The Academy's journal, Molecular Imaging and Biology, that is published by Elsevier. - The AMI Newsletter provides an ongoing reporting of events important to AMI's membership, such as FDA, CMS, private insurance decisions and announcements; science policy issues from the government, collaborative programs with other societies, technology advances, interesting articles and discoveries. The Academy and its journal are involved in the various technologies of molecular imaging and multimodalities formed by merging together imaging of biological processes with imaging anatomical structures within which these processes take place. This includes such technologies as PET, optical imaging, MRI, SPECT, CT and ultrasound. The primary focus of AMI is in vivo molecular imaging, as well as in vitro studies that underlie the in vivo approaches. Innovative clinical educational programs are provided for physicians and technologists at the Annual...
