Doug Shaw brings 30 years of experience in executive and management positions to his role as CEO and president of Monotype Imaging, a leading supplier of text imaging solutions to consumer electronic device manufacturers and creative professionals. He has held this position since January 2007 and in July 2007 led the company to a successful IPO. From November 2004 until December 2006, Shaw was executive vice president and a member of Monotype Imaging's board of directors. He was instrumental in the management initiative leading to the Agfa divestiture in 2004. From 1988 until 2004, Shaw served in various business planning, sales, marketing and product management capacities for Agfa. From 1981 until it was acquired by Agfa in 1988, he was employed by Compugraphic Corp. where he co-founded the Font Technologies division in 1986, establishing the business that eventually became Monotype Imaging. Before joining Compugraphic, he was a corporate services officer for the First National Bank of Boston. Shaw holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College and a master's in business administration from Babson College. He is active in various organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He is married with four children and a life-long Boston area resident.

John Seguin oversees the expansion of the company's technology solutions in a variety of industries requiring text display, including printers, digital copiers, mobile phones, digital televisions, set-top boxes, digital cameras, portable media players and other consumer electronics devices. Dave McCarthy oversees a worldwide team of business account managers responsible for licensing Monotype Imaging font technologies, typefaces, printer drivers and color tool kits to OEM customers. McCarthy has held various OEM sales positions since 1990, when he joined the Font Technologies division of Compugraphic Corp., the group founded by Robert M. Givens and Douglas J. Shaw which eventually became Monotype Imaging Inc. McCarthy has played a key role in establishing relationships with OEM customers - relationships that date back more than 15 years in some cases. Prior to OEM typographic sales, McCarthy sold typesetting equipment and was a senior product manager for front-end systems at Compugraphic, where he began his career in 1977 as a representative within the training and installation division.

Jack Murphy leads initiatives that target future technology opportunities, including assessing new markets and providing technical counsel on acquisition candidates. Murphy's leadership extends to monitoring new software architectures, technologies and industry trends, and he oversees Monotype Imaging's participation in industry standards organizations. Steve Martin is responsible for the development of Monotype Imaging software products, including font rendering subsystems, multilingual technologies, printer drivers and color imaging tool kits. He also oversees the development of typefaces that operate within Monotype Imaging technologies. Bob Givens has been a member of our board of directors since our divestiture from Agfa in November 2004 and has served as chairman of the board of directors since November 2006. From November 2004 until December 2006, Givens was president and chief executive officer of Monotype Imaging Inc. From October 1988 until November 2004, Givens served in various capacities with Agfa and, beginning in 2000, as president of Agfa Monotype Corp. Pamela Lenehan has been a member of our board of directors since September 2006. Lenehan has served as president of Ridge Hill Consulting, a strategy and financial consulting firm, since June 2002. From September 2001 until June 2002, Lenehan was self-employed as a private investor. From March 2000 until September 2001, Lenehan was vice president and chief financial officer of Convergent Networks, a manufacturer of switching equipment. From February 1995 until January 2000, she was senior vice president of corporate development and treasurer at Oak Industries, a manufacturer of telecommunications components. Prior to that, Lenehan was a managing director in Credit Suisse First Boston's Investment Banking division and a vice president of Corporate Banking at Chase Manhattan Bank. Peter Simone has served as a member of our board of directors since March 2006. Simone has been an investment consultant and a consultant to numerous private companies since February 2001. From June 2001 to December 2002, Simone was executive chairman of SpeedFam-IPEC, a semiconductor equipment company which was acquired by Novellus Systems.
