Loren Mortenson started the firm that has become Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldrum in 1968, with a strong emphasis on life insurance and financial planning. When Richard Matzelle joined the firm in 1970, we added employee benefits expertise to our insurance placement services. In 1985, four property and casualty professionals, led by Charles Meldrum, began our property and casualty practice and rounded out our business insurance services. Today, employing over 150 insurance professionals, M3 serves over 5,000 commercial clients from five offices in Wisconsin. Our focus is in property and casualty, workers' compensation, employee benefits, and retirement planning. Our expertise, resources, reputation, and growth have gained us our client's loyalty and the industry's respect. Mr. Michael Victorson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldrum, Inc. (M3). Mike guides the strategic direction of the agency. He also ensures that the day-to-day business of the corporation aligns with its vision, mission and goals. Like all senior officers, Mike also maintains account responsibility for some clients. Mike graduated from Augustana College with a degree in communications and political science. He joined M3 in 1992 in marketing and client service. He advanced to be an account executive and then sales manager, after which he became Executive Vice President of the Employee Benefits Division. In 2002, Mike was asked to serve as M3's Chief Operating Officer and then assumed the role of President in 2003. In 2005, Mike became the company's Chief Executive Officer. Mike continued his education and professional development after joining M3. He holds the Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) designations from the American College. He is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters (WAHU) and the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Mr. Thomas Golden is Executive Vice President of Corporate Services at Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldrum, Inc. (M3). Ms. Diane Wilkinson is the Vice President of Client Services in the of Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldrum, Inc. (M3). She is also a member of M3's senior management team. Specializing in employee benefits, Diane develops, implements and manages client service programs. She also oversees M3's outside Broker Unit and the Governmental Compliance Unit. Mr. James Krogstad is a Vice President of Carrier Relations, Employee Benefits for Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldrum, Inc. (M3). Jim is a member of M3's senior management team as well. His focus is on maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers. Mr. Richard Kekula is the Executive Vice President of the Madison office of Mortenson, Matzelle & Meldrum, Inc. (M3). He is also a member of M3's management team. Rick's major role is to manage M3's Madison, Wausau and Eau Claire offices. Rick's other responsibilities include long-range planning, growth initiatives and strategic partnerships for the agency.
