Cindy has had numerous health issues, including cancer, stroke, and diabetes. When her cardiologist told her that she needed to lose 50 pounds, Cindy took that challenge seriously and joined the gym at the Mount Prospect Park District. With the help of her trainer, she lost the weight and learned to manage all of the other things that were standing in her way of leading a healthy life - high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar. Based on this experience, Cindy decided that she too would like to have the opportunity to help others in the same way that she was helped her and to make positive changes in the lives of others that will last a lifetime. In addition to her ongoing fitness regimen, Cindy loves bike riding, golf, and tennis. Cindy believes that everything that has happened to her - graduating from Valparaiso University, taking time to be with her children, graduating from Harper College, working at Alexian Brothers Hospital, directing the Senior ministry at a local church - has had a purpose, that of providing her a unique perspective to be a compassionate personal trainer.
