Elisabeth L. Marchant is the publisher of Atlanta Woman. Marchant, who helped launch Atlanta Woman in 2002 and became its first publisher, has returned to the position to continue the magazine's success. A passionate supporter of the magazine over the years, Marchant is known throughout the region as a top publishing executive with more than a decade of experience as an industry leader. For the past few years she has served as executive director for the corporate and nonprofit division of Multicast Media Networks, which specializes in broadband media. Marchant began her career with Marchant's Inc., a second-generation, family-owned business specializing in commercial construction. After 20 years in the business, she stepped out on her own to launch b3 Magazine, a national publication about technology and geared toward C-level executives; it also produced 15 executive conferences throughout the United States. In 2000, Marchant joined The Leader Publishing Group, where she served as publisher of Business to Business , launched Atlanta Woman and eventually was named president and CEO of the company. Marchant has received numerous community honors, including the YMCA's Academy of Women Achievers, the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Top 10 Women in Business and is a member of the 2004 class of Leadership Atlanta. She is also deeply involved throughout the Atlanta community, having served on boards for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Henry W. Grady Hospital Foundation, as well as the board of governors of The Buckhead Club and the Chair's Council of the Atlanta Women's Foundation.
