Favorite hobbies of Dr. Douglas-Churchwell include tennis, swimming, skiing, and travel. Her husband, Keith, is also a physician, and they have one daughter. A 1982 graduate of Spelman College, she received her medical degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1988, followed by an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University. An active member of Nashville Academy of Medicine and the American Diabetes Association, she participates in philanthropic organizations including Carrousels, Inc., Girlfriends, Inc., Jack & Jill of Williamson County, and Hendersonville Area Links, Inc. Additionally she serves as a board member of Tennessee Women in Medicine, Children's House Montessori School, and the Nashville Opera Association. Dr. Parminder Bolina grew up in Chicago, where he attended the University of Illinois. He received his medical degree in 1996, and then performed an internship and residency through Tufts University at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Bolina is married to Michelle, a Cardiologist at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Hoos, a Nashville, Tennessee neurologist, has been in practice in Nashville since 1978, including a very enjoyable 5 years as Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical School, his alma mater. He has been Chief of Staff at Southern Hills Medical Center and President of the Tennessee Academy of Neurology. While practicing at Southern Hills, he incorporated a sleep lab into his private practice and provided service to the military from Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He is currently in private practice with the Nashville Medical Group, a large multi-specialty group based at Nashville Baptist Hospital.
