As Vice President of Innovation, Dr. Dowling oversees many programs and initiatives designed to keep Color Kinetics at the forefront of LED lighting. He joined the company in early 1999 as Director of Engineering, and continues to be integral to the research and development fueling many of Color Kinetics' successful products, technologies and market applications. He is an inventor and co-inventor on numerous Color Kinetics patents, and also leads the company's government programs. Beyond his work at Color Kinetics, Dr. Dowling actively engages with many industry organizations to advance adoption of LED lighting, including the creation of much-needed industry standards. He currently serves as Technical Chairman of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Solid-State Lighting Section, and as Chairman of the Next Generation Lighting Industry Alliance (NGLIA). He was instrumental in the formation of the Solid-State sub-committee within the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Testing Procedures Committee (TPC). Dr. Dowling is also active within the education community, teaching lighting at the New England Institute of Art and lecturing at many lighting and design programs. He is a well-known industry advocate with numerous published articles and speaking engagements to his credit. Prior to Color Kinetics, Dr. Dowling was Chief Robotics Engineer for PRI Automation, the leader in advanced factory automation systems and software for the semiconductor industry. He has over 15 years of experience in advanced robotics engineering at the Field Robotics Center of Carnegie Mellon University, where, as a scientist, he led a number of projects including a Lunar Rover demo, robots for Space Shuttle Inspection and Shuttle ground operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, and the Mars Rover Project. Dr. Dowling has also consulted for many companies, including Shell Oil and Apple Computer, and was a founding principal of a medical robotics company. Dr. Dowling received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and masters and Ph.D. degrees in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University.

James P. Campbell has served as president and chief executive officer of GE Consumer & Industrial since November 2005. Consumer & Industrial, a $12+ billion global business that employs 49,000 employees around the world in more than 100 locations, is an industry leader in major appliance and lighting products, and in integrated electrical distribution equipment and systems. Campbell joined GE in 1981 as a sales/marketing trainee for the Northeast Region of GE Appliances. He quickly moved into management roles, and in 1992 relocated to the business' headquarters in Louisville where he led marketing, sales and product management organizations. He was appointed vice president of Sales and Marketing and a GE Company Officer in 1999 and two years later was named president and chief executive officer of GE Appliances. In September 2002, when GE merged its appliances and lighting businesses, he assumed the role of president and chief executive officer of GE Consumer Products. Following the merger of GE Consumer Products and GE Industrial Systems in January 2004, Campbell became president and chief executive officer of GE Consumer & Industrial-Americas, a $9 billion division. In that role he directed the manufacture, marketing and sale of appliances, lighting and industrial products across North and South America. Campbell earned a B.S. degree in Marketing from St. John's University and an M.B.A. in Marketing Management from Hofstra University. He is on the boards of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and the Frazier International History Museum and is an active member of the Louisville GE Volunteers chapter. Campbell and his wife have two children. They reside in Louisville, Kentucky.

Carson assumed his current position in January 2000, after serving as Eaton's corporate vice president, Growth Initiatives, working with senior operating managers on new product programs and strategic marketing initiatives across the company. Before joining Eaton in February 1999, Carson was executive vice president for Rockwell Automation. He began his career in 1972 at Allen-Bradley, where he held increasingly responsible positions in sales, marketing and distribution. Carson was named vice president for Allen-Bradley's Intelligent Sensing business in 1988. His subsequent management positions included serving as senior vice president for Allen-Bradley's Automation Group and as executive vice president for Reliance Electrical Group. George Van Dorn has 30 years of senior manufacturing and management experiences and direct line responsibilities in high tech electronics that encompasses Fortune 500 companies and small private organizations. Mr. Van Dorn joined Econ in 2005 and is responsible for technology transfer and to set up strict production quality controls for manufacturing HID electronic ballasts critical for the building of reliable electronic products. He holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Montgomery College and completed studies at Union College and Newark College of Engineering. He is a member of the American Management Association, National Electrical Manufacturers Association and the National Association of Service Managers.
