Dow Jones Description
National Office was founded back in 1967, when President and CEO Robert W. Schneider began offering "onsite electrostatic refinishing of metal office furniture" to major corporations and federal government agencies throughout the country. By the early 1980's, this aggressive company had broadened its services to include the total repair and refurbishing of all types of office furniture. From wood restoration on more traditional furniture to reupholstering commercial seating and remanufacturing systems furniture. This lead to another growth boom in the late 80's and 90's, when the pace of corporate downsizing, mergers and acquisitions themselves grew. National Office saw the potential of acquiring the surplus office furniture from these reorganizing corporations and reselling the product, completely re-manufactured. Surprisingly, not only did small and medium-sized companies realize the great savings over buying brand new, buy larger corporations also took advantage of the huge inventory that National Office now had. Today, National Office owns a 125,000 square foot manufacturing/re-manufacturing plant on 6 acres of expandable property located near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Interstates 71 and 480.
