Our business consists of two distinct operations. The first such segment is our dialysis operation, where we act as a provider of integrated dialysis services for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure, also known as end-stage renal disease, or ESRD. These operations are conducted in LACD. The second such segment is the development of a wearable artificial kidney, or Wearable Kidney, on which we have been working for the last 3 years. OUR PROPOSED CHANGE IN BUSINESS FOCUS We currently offer dialysis services for chronic and acute care through one dialysis center with an aggregate of 20 stations in Los Angeles, California. In addition, we currently provide inpatient dialysis services by contract to several hospitals in the State of California. Payment for services is primarily provided by third party payors, including Medicare, Medi-Cal (a California State health agency) and commercial insurance companies. Although we have been operating this business for a number of years, we have been unable to grow for a number of reasons:
