Mr. Pasquale, 54, was appointed Chairman of the Board in May 2009 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since April 2004 and as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of the Company since November 2003. Mr. Pasquale served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ARV Assisted Living, an operator of assisted living facilities, from December 1999 to September 2003. From April 2003 to September 2003, Mr. Pasquale concurrently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Atria Senior Living Group. From March 1999 to December 1999, Mr. Pasquale served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at ARV, and he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer at ARV from June 1998 to March 1999. Previously, Mr. Pasquale served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Richfield Hospitality Services, Inc. and Regal Hotels International—North America a hotel ownership and hotel management company from 1996 to 1998, and as its Chief Financial Officer from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Pasquale is a member of the Executive Board of the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) and is a director of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc.
Charles D. Miller, Chairman of the Board (Board member since 1985) Mr. Miller, 79, is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, but continues as a Director Emeritus, of Avery Dennison Corporation, a manufacturer of self-adhesive materials, labels, and office products, where he held various executive positions since 1964. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Amateur Athletic Foundation of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Sports Council, a Trustee of Southern California Public Radio, KPCC, and a Trustee Emeritus of Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Russell, 63, has been the President of Russell Financial, Inc., a strategic and financial consulting firm serving businesses and high net worth individuals and families, since April 2001. Mr. Russell retired in March 2001 as the Chairman of Mellon West, a fiduciary bank, and Vice Chairman of Mellon Financial Corporation, a fiduciary bank. Prior to his position as Chairman of Mellon West, Mr. Russell was Vice Chairman and Chief Risk Officer of Mellon Bank Corporation from June 1992 to April 1996. Mr. Russell is the former President and Chief Operating Officer, and a Director, of Glenfed/Glendale Federal Bank. Before joining Glendale Federal Bank in 1983, Mr. Russell served as a Senior Vice President and Deputy Administrator of the Subsidiary Group of Security Pacific Corporation. Mr. Russell is a Director of Countrywide Financial Corporation; Countrywide Bank (an independent subsidiary of Countrywide); Forrest Binkley Brown Capital Partners, a venture capital firm; and Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc., a real estate investment trust.

Jack D. Samuelson has been a director of the Company since March 1995, serving on the Compensation, Audit and Strategic Planning Committees. Mr. Samuelson co-founded Samuelson Brothers in 1957 to engage in general construction and commercial real estate development. Since then, he has been Samuelson Brothers' President and Chairman of the Board. Samuelson Brothers sold its construction business in 1979 but has continued to develop industrial and commercial real estate. The company is now known as Samuelson Partners. Mr. Samuelson is also a director of Nationwide Health Properties, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed real estate investment trust focused on healthcare-related properties.
Mr. Andrews, 68, served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from September 1989 until his retirement in April 2004. He had previously served as a Director of American Medical International, Inc., a hospital management company, and served as its Chief Financial Officer from 1970 to 1985 and its Chief Operating Officer in 1985 and 1986. Mr. Andrews is a director of Thomas Properties Group, Inc., a full-service real estate operating company.
Rick Gilchrist is president of the Investment Properties Group for The Irvine Company. The Irvine Company is a 140-year-old, privately held company best known for the balanced, sustainable communities it has planned and developed on The Irvine Ranch in Orange County, California. Mr. Gilchrist joined The Irvine Company in 2006 as the new president of its office division, and oversaw all day-to-day aspects of the company's large and growing portfolio of office properties in Orange County, San Diego, West Los Angeles and Silicon Valley, including leasing, operations, marketing and finance functions. In 2007, he was named president of the company's Investment Properties Group. In this position, Mr. Gilchrist guides all aspects of The Irvine Company's office, retail, resort and apartment properties in Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego and the Silicon Valley, including development, marketing and management. Mr. Gilchrist is considered one of the industry's most versatile and highly respected executives, having served as chief executive and founder of major public and private real estate companies with operations throughout the United States. Prior to joining The Irvine Company, Mr. Gilchrist served as president and co-chief executive of Maguire Properties Inc. in Los Angeles. At Maguire, he oversaw significant growth in the company's portfolio, both through acquisitions and development, and spearheaded the company's successful initial public offering in 2003. Before joining Maguire, Mr. Gilchrist served as president and chief executive of Commonwealth Atlantic Properties, where he managed the planning and entitlement of one of the East Coast's largest and most complex mixed-used projects, an 11 million-square-foot development called Potomac Yard. Mr. Gilchrist is chairman of the Whittier College Board of Trustees, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition to its master-planned communities and portfolio of office properties, The Irvine Company also is known for its portfolios of high-quality apartment and retail properties. The company traces its roots to the 1860s with the assembly of The Irvine Ranch from Mexican and Spanish land grants. The Irvine Company was incorporated in 1894.

Bob Paulson founded Aerostar Capital LLC in 1997 to specialize in private equity investments for the aerospace industry. He launched this investment program to exploit the opportunities offered by the ongoing consolidation of the aerospace industry supply chain. This need for supply chain consolidation was triggered by the merger frenzy among the aerospace primes in the 1990s. As the CEO of Aerostar Capital, Bob offers extensive aerospace and investment experience. After earning a BA in Economics (Cum Laude) from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA (with Distinction) from Harvard, Bob served as an Army Officer and as an analyst on the staff of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Analysis. Following his government service, Bob worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Company for 26 years. During his consulting career, Bob served as the head of McKinsey's Global Aerospace and Defense Practice, ran the Los Angeles Office of McKinsey, was twice elected to McKinsey's Board of Directors, and chaired the firm's committee to oversee M&A support to all McKinsey clients. Bob served over 30 major aerospace clients and supported nearly 50 acquisitions and mergers. (www.Mckinsey.com) After retiring from McKinsey, Bob founded Aerostar Capital LLC. Bob has served on the boards of many private and public companies, as well as several public service organizations. Currently he serves as a Director of Ducommun Inc. Bob has been a guest lecturer on M&A practices at USC Center for Telecommunications Management, has published and been quoted widely on aerospace policy issues, serves as an Advisor to McKinsey & Company, and has served on various government commissions.

Mr. Doyle founded Kerlin Capital Group in 1994 following a twenty-two year career in traditional investment banking. Mr. Doyle began his career with Lehman Brothers in New York and rose to Managing Director in Los Angeles where he was one of the senior investment bankers for Lehman on the West Coast (1972-1985). Subsequent to Lehman, Mr. Doyle founded a West Coast investment banking group focused on private equity and M&A for Bankers Trust where he was Managing Director and a member of the IB Management Committee (1985-1987), became Head of the West Coast Investment Banking for Prudential Capital Funding (1987-1991) and ran Smith Barney's Los Angeles Investment Banking Group (1991-1994). Mr. Doyle has substantial transactional experience and has managed over 350 transactions for over 125 investment banking clients in a broad range of industries. Mr. Doyle earned his BA in Economics with Honors from Stanford University and his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Mr. Doyle currently is a Director of Nationwide Health Properties, a public REIT, a Director of The Air Group, Inc., a private company, and a Trustee of the Beverly Foundation. He has previously been a Director of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and a Trustee of the Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation. Mr. Doyle has been named by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the top mergers and acquisitions executives in Los Angeles.
