Michael S. Spangler has been Senior Vice President President, Nationwide Funds Group since May 2008. Previously, Mr. Spangler was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, heading Americas Retail and Intermediary Product Management from May 2004 to June 2008. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Spangler was President of Touchstone Advisors, and Vice President and Director of Business Operations at Touchstone Investments, July 2002 to May 2004.

Carol A. Baldwin Moody has been Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer of NFS and several other Nationwide companies since November 2005. Previously, she was Chief Compliance Officer for TIAA-CREF from 2004 to 2005. Prior to that time, she served as Managing Director and General Counsel of TCW/Latin America Partners LLC from 2000 to 2004.

Gale King serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Nationwide, one of the largest diversified insurance companies in the world. She was elected to this position in 2009. In this role, Gale is responsible for delivering strategic human resources services that support the Nationwide strategy. These services support 35,000 associates throughout the United States and include staffing, compensation, performance management, development, leadership development, talent management, change management and diversity and inclusion. Gale began her insurance career as a claims representative and later served in numerous human resources leadership roles in field and corporate operations including Regional Human Resources manager, Employee Relations Human Resources manager, Human Resources director, administrative officer Office of the President, vice president Nationwide Insurance-Human Resources and senior vice president, human resources for the Property & Casualty organization. She is active in the community and currently serves on the boards of the Columbus Urban League, Adventures for Wish Kids and Franklin County Children's Services. She is also a member of two national organizations, the Executive Leadership Council and Insurance Conference Group. Gale graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in public administration.

James Lyski is executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Nationwide. He is responsible for corporate strategy, corporate marketing, brand management, advertising, and communications for all Nationwide companies. He was elected to this position in October 2006. Lyski previously served as senior vice president for strategy, product and marketing at CIGNA HealthCare, Inc., and was previously vice president for U.S. marketing at FedEx. At CIGNA, Lyski was responsible for corporate strategy, brand management, advertising, promotions, product development, marketing research and corporate communications. Prior to CIGNA, he served as chief operating officer of Atabok, Inc., a Boston-based technology company. At FedEx, where he had an 11-year career, he was responsible for advertising, global brand management, telemarketing, small business and consumer marketing, retail marketing and key customer marketing. Lyski serves on the Board of Trustees for the Wexner Center Foundation. Lyski graduated from the University of Oregon with an MBA and a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Terri L. Hill has been Executive Vice President Chief Administrative Officer of NFS and several other Nationwide companies since September 2003. She was Senior Vice President Human Resources/Operations for Scottsdale Insurance Company (Scottsdale), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NMIC, and its affiliates from December 2000 to September 2003; Vice President Human Resources/Communications of Scottsdale from May 1997 to December 2000; and Vice President Human Resources of Scottsdale from October 1996 to May 1997. Ms. Hill was Vice President Human Relations from February 1985 to September 1996 at American Express, a diversified worldwide travel, financial and network services company, and Director of Personnel for Bullock s Department Stores, a department store retailer, from August 1981 to February 1985.

Anne L. Arvia has been Senior Vice President Nationwide Bank since September 2006. Prior to joining Nationwide Bank, Ms. Arvia served as the Chief Executive Officer of ShoreBank, a community and environmental bank, from May 2002 to August 2006 and as the President of ShoreBank from May 2001 to August 2006.

Eric S. Henderson has been Senior Vice President Individual Investments Business Head of NFS and several other companies within Nationwide since August 2007. Previously, Mr. Henderson served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Individual Investments from August 2004 to August 2007; as Vice President Product Management from February 2004 to August 2004; and as Associate Vice President Product Manager-Variable Annuities from April 2002 to February 2004.

For John L. Carter, the Company s Senior Vice President Non-Affiliated Sales, the compensation committee reviewed market data for Mr. Carter s position, his 2007 annual performance evaluation, a summary of his accomplishments for 2007 and the recommendation of the President and Chief Operating Officer. Based on this information, the compensation committee approved his base salary adjustment and his sales incentive plan and incentive target levels for 2008.

Kai V. Monahan has been Senior Vice President Internal Audit of NFS and several other Nationwide companies since November 2008. Previously, Mr. Monahan was a Partner in Ernst & Young s Business Risk Services practice from 2004 to 2008.

Mark D. Phelan has been Senior Vice President Individual Investments Business Head of NFS and several other companies within Nationwide since May 2004. He was previously Senior Vice President Technology and Operations of NFS from May 2001 to May 2004. Mr. Phelan has been Senior Vice President, since July 2000, and Vice President, from November 1998 to July 2000, of several Nationwide companies. Prior to that time, he was Executive Vice President of CheckFree Corporation, an online billing and payment services provider, from October 1992 to November 1997; Sales Vice President of AT&T Corporation, a provider of communications services and products, and network equipment and computer systems, from February 1982 to November 1992; and Operations Manager with IBM Corporation from April 1977 to February 1982.

For Michael A. Hamilton, the Company s Senior Vice President NFN Retail Distribution, a single appropriate market match was not available due to the evolving nature of his role, but market data for similar positions were used as a point of reference. The President and Chief Operating Officer recommended that Mr. Hamilton s target compensation levels should also be determined in relation to other senior executive positions within the organization given the lack of market data for this role. In arriving at a recommendation for 2008 compensation, the President and Chief Operating Officer also prepared Mr. Hamilton s 2007 performance appraisal and submitted his recommendation to the compensation committee that his targets be determined in accordance with benchmark plus principles. The President and Chief Operating Officer s recommendation was based on the executive compensation structure described above in the discussion regarding Mr. Frommeyer, and was presented to the compensation committee. The compensation committee approved base salary and incentive target levels for 2008 based on the President and Chief Operating Officer s appraisal and recommendation.

Roger A. Craig has been Senior Vice President Division General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of NFS since August 2007, and Senior Vice President Division General Counsel of several other Nationwide companies since July 2007. Previously, Mr. Craig served several Nationwide companies as Vice President Division General Counsel from October 2004 to August 2007; Vice President Associate General Counsel from March 2003 to October 2004; and Associate Vice President Associate General Counsel from February 2001 to March 2003.

William S. Jackson has been Senior Vice President Nationwide Retirement Plans of NFS since October 2006. Previously, Mr. Jackson served as Sales Center Vice President from August 2001 to September 2006.

Columbus, Ohio Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company announced today that it has named President and Chief Operating Officer Steve Rasmussen as Chief Executive Officer of the company. He replaces Jerry Jurgensen, who has served as Nationwide's CEO since 2000. Jurgensen and Nationwide's Board of Directors mutually agreed on the decision to leave the company.

Barney Hall is the Co-Anchor of MRN Radio's NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series broadcasts. He is one of the Network's original announcers. Barney got into motorsports announcing by "dumb luck" in 1960 when the Bristol Motor Speedway needed a public address announcer. At the time Barney was working at a western North Carolina radio station. He considers David Pearson, Richard Petty and A.J. Foyt some of the best drivers of the sport.

Dave Moody is lead turn announcer for MRN Radio's broadcasts of NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series events. Dave also hosts the nationally syndicated motorsports talk show, "SIRIUS Speedway," on SIRIUS-XM NASCAR Radio. A protege of legendary motorsports commentator Ken Squier, Dave made his MRN debut during Speedweeks 1993, and has been a regular part of the lineup since 1998.

David Verbance is the Chief Investment Officer of Nationwide Property & Casualty Insurance Co. where he provides investment direction for all portfolio management, investment strategy and investment risk management functions for Nationwide?s Property and Casualty business units. He is also responsible for the oversight of external managers in the areas of marketable equities, seed money investments, hedge funds and other asset classes. Prior to joining Nationwide in 2000, he was a Managing Director with Banc of America Securities? Private Placement Group and a Managing Director of the Leasing and Finance Company Division of Bank of America. Jeff Striegle is a turn announcer for MRN Radio's broadcasts of NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series events. He also serves as a booth announcer during single event coverage. Jeff resides in Byron Center, Michigan with his wife Tammy and three children, Derek, Kevin, and Lindsey. When he not traveling the nation with MRN, Jeff is employed by Gordon Food Service as the Director of Non-profit Fundraising. Jeff also directs the GFS Marketplace 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race for Gordon Ford Service. He also hosts "Inside Track On MRN Radio" on MRN and SIRIUS-XM NASCAR Radio before every Sprint Cup race.

Joe Moore is the co-anchor for MRN Radio's NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, Busch, and Craftsman Truck Series broadcasts and is the host of MRN Radio's "NASCAR Today," the network's daily news program. Joe is also a contributor to MRN Radio's NASCAR USA program heard Sunday morning. He joined the Network in 1983 and for many years stood on scaffolding, high above the speedways between turns one and two, calling the action. Joe and his wife, Tiffany, reside in Norfolk , Virginia.

Mr. Grady most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Funds Group. Prior to his work at Nationwide, Mr. Grady served as President of Highline Investment Consulting LLC, a Philadelphia-based consulting firm that provides advice to financial institutions regarding structuring, operating and reorganizing investment businesses, including both pooled and separate account services. Before founding Highline in 2006, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Constellation Investment Management Company, L.P., a registered investment adviser that served as adviser and administrator for the Constellation Funds Group. Prior to that, Mr. Grady served as Chief Operating Officer for Turner Investment Partners, a Berwyn, Penn.-based institutional money management firm specializing in growth equity investing, and managing director for the firm's mutual funds operations. After graduating from law school in 1985, Mr. Grady was an attorney in private practice; from 1995- 2001, he was a partner with the firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in the firm's Philadelphia office. While in private practice, he advised fund companies, broker-dealers, investment advisers and banks, and focused on the formation, organization and operation of mutual funds. Mr. Grady worked with fund families sponsored by various financial services firms, including Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley/Miller Anderson, Commonfund and Vanguard, and was a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars. Mr. Grady received his JD from The Law School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1985, and received a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in 1982. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, Maryland and the District of Columbia, and has taught as an adjunct professor at both The Law School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Widener University School of Law.

Keith I. Millner has been Senior Vice President In-Retirement Business Head of NFS and several other companies within Nationwide since January 2005. Prior to joining Nationwide, Mr. Millner was a Senior Vice President for CIGNA HealthCare from August 2002 to December 2004; an independent consultant from September 2001 to August 2002; and held various positions for Assurant Group (Fortis, Inc.) from March 1996 to September 2001.

Michael Burkhart joined the board of 1809 LGBT Alumni most recently in October 2004. He previously served on the board from 1997 to 2000 as the organizationa s Treasurer. Michael currently serves as a chair of the Communications Committee. While at Miami University, Michael was very active in the Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual Alliance (GLBA), serving in leadership roles including the offices of co-president and co-vice president. Michael graduated from Miami in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Prior to graduating, Michael moved to Hamilton, Ohio and worked for Star Bank, eventually transferring to Columbus after graduation. After working for Star Bank for three years, Michael went to work for Nationwide Insurance, which is headquartered in Columbus. Michael has worked for Nationwide for the last eleven years, mostly for Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Nationwidea s division that provides IRC Section 457 deferred compensation plans for government employers and their employees. Michael has held various positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career at Nationwide, and currently is the Program Director for the City of Chicago and Cook County deferred compensation plans, two of the companya s largest clients. In this capacity, Michael oversees the sales and administrative activities for both plans and maintains relationships with City and County officials. Michael holds the NASD Series 6, 26, 63 and 65 securities licenses as well as life, accident and health insurance licenses in the State of Illinois. He has completed the Certified Retirement Counselor and Certified Retirement Administrator designations from the International Foundation for Retirement Education, and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.

Mr. McWhorter retired from Banc One Corporation, an investment banking and financial services institution, in April 1995 after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer since April 1992. Previously, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Banc One Ohio Corporation from July 1989 to April 1992 and held other positions with Banc One Ohio prior to that time.

Mr. Finney is president and chief operating officer of Moreland Fruit Farm Ltd. in Wooster, Ohio. He is past president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, the Ohio Fruit Growers Society, Wayne County Farm Bureau and the Westwood Ruritan Club. He is a board member of the American Berry Cooperative. He served on the executive board of the Buckeye Council of the Boy Scouts of America from 1995 to 1997 and was Boy Scout scoutmaster for 14 years. Mr. Finney still remains active with the local scout troop. He has been a board member, Sunday school teacher and finance committee chairman of the Moreland United Methodist Church.

Zellers is Chairman and President of K.W. Zellers & Son, Inc., a seasonal grower-packer-shipper of Arrow brand fresh salad vegetables located in Hartville, Ohio. He is a former trustee and first vice president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, and he previously served as treasurer as well as representing Ohio on many committees for the American Farm Bureau Federation. He serves on the Stark County YMCA Board of Trustees and is a past president of The Leafy Greens Council. Zellers previously served on a board advisory committee for United Bank.

Kelly A. Hamilton has been Senior Vice President Internal Audits of NFS and several other companies within Nationwide since September 2005. She served several Nationwide companies as Senior Vice President PC Finance, from September 2003 to August 2005; Vice President Corporate Controller, from August 2001 to September 2003, and Associate Vice President Corporate Accounting Services, from April 2000 to August 2001. Additionally, Ms. Hamilton held other positions within Nationwide starting in July 1995. Ms. Hamilton also serves as a Director of several Nationwide companies. Previously, she held a variety of management and accounting positions at KPMG LLP from January 1986 to July 1995.

Kenneth D. Davis is a board member of Nationwide, a $158 billion diversified financial services organization based in Columbus, Ohio. He was elected to the board in April 1999. He also serves on the boards of other Nationwide companies. Mr. Davis is past president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. He served as a member of the Farm Bureau's board of trustees from 1989 until 1999. He served as first vice president of the board from 1994 until 1998. Mr. Davis is board chairman of South Central Power Co. and is a member of many agriculture organizations including the Ohio Corn Growers, Ohio Cattlemen's and Ohio Soybean associations. He farms 2,300 acres of corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa, and raises beef cattle near Leesburg, Ohio. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Mr. Davis earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and a master's degree in agricultural education.

Mr. Alphin owns and operates a 1200-acre farm in Mt. Olive, N.C. He taught agriculture business at James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, N.C., for more than 22 years before retiring in 1994. He is the former board chairman of the Cape Fear Farm Credit Association, a member and former vice president, secretary/treasurer and director of the Duplin County Agribusiness Council, and a former board member of the Southern States Cooperative (1986 to 1993). Mr. Alphin is a member of the Duplin County Farm Bureau, the North Carolina Farm Bureau and the Farm Credit Council. He is a member and treasurer of the Oak Wolfe Fire Department and presently serves on the board of the North Carolina Small Grain Growers Association. A retired major in the North Carolina National Guard, he is a member of the U.S. and North Carolina national guard associations, the U.S. Reserve Officers Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He served in Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991. Born in Duplin County, Mr. Alphin graduated from James Kenan High School in Warsaw, NC, and obtained a degree in biological and agricultural engineering in 1971 from North Carolina State University. He is a Sunday school teacher and longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Lydia M. Marshall has been a director of Nationwide Financial since February 1997, and a director of Nationwide Life and Nationwide Life and Annuity since May 2002. Ms. Marshall has been a director of Nationwide Mutual, Nationwide Mutual Fire and Nationwide Corporation since October 2001, and served as a director of Scottsdale Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Nationwide Mutual, from April 2001 to June 2006. She also serves as a trustee of Nationwide Foundation. Ms. Marshall has been a director of Seagate Technology, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of hard disc drives, since April 2004. Previously, she was founder, chair and Chief Executive Officer of Versura Inc., an internet-based service provider to financial institutions, colleges and universities, from October 1999 to August 2004. Ms. Marshall served as the Managing Director of Rockport Capital Incorporated, a provider of private equity funds for corporate ventures, from September 1997 to October 1999, and Executive Vice President Marketing of the Student Loan Marketing Association, or Sallie Mae, a provider of funds for educational loans, from July 1993 to September 1997. Prior to that time, Ms. Marshall held several positions with Sallie Mae and with Citicorp, a provider of banking and financial services.

Mr. Corcoran is owner/partner of Corcoran Farms, chief financial officer of 4C Ventures, LLC, and treasurer of Guardian Vault Services, Inc. He was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation board of trustees from 1994 to 2001 and served as treasurer and first vice president. Mr. Corcoran is a member of the Ohio Soybean Association, Ross County, Ohio Cattlemen's Association, Ohio Corn Growers Association, The Ohio State University Alumni Association and National Association of Corporate Directors. He received his bachelor's of science in agricultural economics in 1980 from The Ohio State University.
