Lesher will serve as a loaned executive to the convention organization, working full time on planning and logistics for the months up to and including the event. "David Eves is President and CEO, Southwestern Public Service Company (SPS), an Xcel Energy Company. He also serves as a director of SPS.
He most recently served as vice president of Resource Planning and Acquisition for Xcel Energy, where his primary functions included long-term resource planning, competitive acquisition of generation resources, negotiating and managing all long-term power purchase agreements, securing and managing the electric transmission access and rights for native load and wholesale markets, and planning and securing the gas transportation and storage services for gas businesses and for generation fuel.

Brunetti, 65, brings nearly 40 years of energy and utility industry experience to the company's board, having begun his career at Florida Power & Light in 1964. More recently, he served until his retirement in 2005 as chairman of Xcel Energy, which provides electricity and natural gas services in eight Western and Midwestern states. Prior to his role as Xcel's chairman, he served as the company's chairman, president and CEO. Brunetti also served as chairman, president and CEO of Xcel's various predecessor companies, including New Century Energies, Public Service Company of Colorado and Southwestern Public Service Company. In addition to his corporate leadership, Brunetti was active in a variety of energy industry leadership roles including chairman of the Edison Electric Institute, the utility industry's national trade association. Mr. Bonavia became Chairman, President and CEO of UniSource Energy and TEP on January 1, 2009. Prior to joining UniSource Energy, he was President of the Utilities Group of Xcel Energy. Mr. Bonavia previously served as President of Xcel Energy's Commercial Enterprises business unit and President of the company's Energy Markets unit. Before joining Xcel Energy in 2000, Mr. Bonavia was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for New Century Energies (NCE) in Denver, Colorado. Prior to his tenure at NCE, Mr. Bonavia was an attorney with the international law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, now Dewey & LeBoeuf. Earlier, he held several senior management positions with Dominion Resources in Richmond, VA.

"Benjamin (Ben) Fowke is executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Xcel Energy. Previously he served as vice president and CFO.
He was named vice president and treasurer in 2002. Previously Fowke was vice president and CFO of Energy Markets, where he was responsible for financial operations of the company’s commodities trading and marketing business unit. Before the 2000 merger between Northern States Power Co. and New Century Energies (NCE) to form Xcel Energy, he was a vice president in the NCE Retail business unit.

"Dennis Koehl is the chief Nuclear Officer for Xcel Energy's Nuclear Department and a vice president of Xcel Energy. He is responsible for all nuclear activities in Minnesota at the Monticello and Prairie Island nuclear generating plants (operated by NSP-Minnesota and its parent company, Xcel Energy).Koehl joined Nuclear Management Company prior to its transition to Xcel Energy in June 2004 as the site vice president of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant in Wisconsin, where he oversaw the operation of two nuclear units. Daniel E. Nordell received the BSEE degree with distinction from the University of Minnesota in 1970. He has been employed by Xcel Energy (formerly Northern States Power Company) since 1969. During that time he has been engaged in long-range research activities on a variety of utility system problems including the development and testing of new communication technologies and architectures and advanced distribution automation techniques. Esther has 30 years experience in real estate, having begun her career in land surveying and title examination. In 1980, she joined Coors Brewing Company' s Corporate Real Estate Division and successfully wrapped up her corporate real estate career as President of Golden Equities, Inc., from 1996-2000. Esther focuses primarily on west metro Denver areas and Jefferson County, concentrating on land and industrial leasing and sales. Mr. Nelson has over 32 years of experience in designing and managing large projects related to the electric power industry, including 10 years with the Public Service Company of Colorado (now Xcel Energy) and over 22 years as a Professional Consultant. His experience includes the conceptual and detail design, feasibility studies, system planning, economic evaluation, installation, construction management, operation and maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and other activities related to substation and distribution engineering, mining and petro-chemical industry, and power plants. Mr. Nelson has authored (or coauthored) and presented numerous technical papers at the IEEE Conference related to substation engineering, grounding, harmonics and power quality, protection, altitude correction, and BIL, most of which are also published in the IEEE Transactions in Industry Applications. Mr. Nelson is a very active member of the IEEE / IAS Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Society and a Fellow of IEEE.
