Dow Jones Description
Since its inception in 1984, NCI has become one of the largest integrated manufacturers and marketers of metal coil coating solutions, metal components and custom metal building systems for the non-residential construction industry in North America. Product innovation, organic growth and numerous strategic and highly advantageous acquisitions have led to the continued development of this successful organization. In 1992 NCI joined NASDAQ and by 1998 NCI moved to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) where it remains today as a NCSa ? under the name NCI Building Systems, Inc. NCI, headquartered in Houston, Texas, boasts more than 6 million square feet of manufacturing space, located strategically across the United States and Mexico. Our hub-and-spoke system allows us to determine the best facility to produce an order based on the product specifications and delivery destination, reducing time and expenses related to long-distance shipping requests. Due to the benefits of metal components and systems, including long-term cost savings, longer life, recyclable materials, design flexibility and aesthetics, the metal building industry is capturing an increasing share of the construction market, and is ideally suited for the green building market. No other company offers a complete metal building portfolio like NCIa s, and through it, we can help match the right products and building solutions to our customersa specific needs. ...
