James won several awardsa "investigative, business features, and photographya "before moving on to magazine publishing. In the early 1990s he launched a new publication for the automobile industry, then moved an existing corporate-identity journal from regional distribution to international circulation. It was at this time James began working on the Web, creating online versions of these publications. He switched to video and film work, where he produced a number of corporate videos before writing feature-length scripts and directing his own short films for festival competition. He couldna t completely ignore the call of journalism, however, so James became new media director for the Philanthropy News Network, which published nonprofit-focused news, features, and technology tutorials on the Web every business day. While at PNN he headed a team of writers and programmers, and also led seminars on how schools and colleges, community organizations, and other nonprofit groups can use technology to further their missions. Since then James has consulted for groups ranging from GlaxoSmithKline to the New Museum in New York, Elsevier Scientific Publications to the EPA. Hea s now a proud member of the mStoner team. Oh, and if you ever saw The Zimmermans, Chisel, Smack Rabbit, or JudyNude playing at your local punk bar, James was the bass player.

A specialist in the area of promotions and communications for nearly 45 years, Warren G. Jackson is founder and chairman, of Circulation Experti, Ltd., a 35-year-old, wholly black-owned public relations and advertising firm. Mr. Jackson began his career as the first black circulation inspector for the New York Times in the early 1950s. He left the paper in 1963 as assistant circulation manager and went on to become, in succession, the circulation director of The Amsterdam News and the first black circulation director of a major New York newspaper, the now-defunct New York Knickerbocker. As the newspapers' representative in the black community during the turbulent '60s, Jackson saw firsthand the problems that existed, but he also saw opportunity. In 1967, having served as a consultant to the Kennedy and Humphrey presidential campaigns as well as to several Fortune 500 companies, he founded Circulation Experti to forge what he believed could be a meaningful link between the community, the media and the world of Corporate America. In the years since its inception, Circulation Experti has stayed true to Jackson's vision. He and his staff have been able to show clients how being involved in the ethnic communities can generate both publicity as well as a greater market for their products. In turn, they have demonstrated to community service groups and organizations that Corporate America can be a valuable friend. A man of wide and varied interests, Jackson sits on the board of directors of a number of organizations and institutions including Manhattan College, his alma mater, White Plains Hospital Medical Center and the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foun-dation. Additionally, Jackson is Vice Chair of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. A former syndicated columnist, Jackson has also written a series of articles for GannettIs Westchester/Rockland Newspaper Group as well as for The Boston Globe and Chicago Sun-Times. Additonally, Warren has been a featured speaker at various organization and university settings throughout the United States, the Caribbean and in parts of Africa.
