Peyton R. Patterson joined NewAlliance Bank in January 2002 as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. From May 1996 to December 2001, she was an Executive Vice President of Dime Bancorp in New York. Ms. Patterson has over twenty years of commercial and thrift banking experience with Dime Bancorp, Chemical Bank/Chase Manhattan and Corestates Financial Corporation of Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience in the areas of retail and commercial lending, retail banking, wealth management, marketing and mergers and acquisitions. In 2008, American Banker selected her as Community Banker of the Year. Ms. Patterson was also named one of the top 10 Banking CEOs in 2006 and the 2nd Most Powerful Woman in Banking, according to U.S. Banker Magazine, in both 2004 and 2005. Ms. Patterson serves on the boards of the Consumer Bankers Association, American Bankers Association, and the Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Donald T. Chaffee, Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, joined New Haven Savings Bank in September 2002. Mr. Chaffee is also responsible for the Bank's Fair Lending Team. Mr. Chaffee spent 21 years at The Chase Manhattan Bank beginning in 1972 in Global Credit. He held numerous assignments in credit both domestically and overseas until 1993 when he joined the Dime Savings Bank of New York as Senior Vice President and Director of Residential Credit and Risk Management, and Director of Consumer Credit and Originations. Mr. Chaffee serves on the board of the Shubert Theatre of New Haven.

Diane L. Wishnafski is Executive Vice President, Business and Retail Services. Mrs. Wishnafski joined NewAlliance's predecessor, New Haven Savings Bank, in 1985 and has held several officer positions. In 2006, in addition to managing the business banking division, she accepted responsibility for the bank's 89-branch system, retail deposits and loans, product management, sales and delivery services. She currently holds board/trustee seats at Saint Raphael's Hospital Foundation, Hamden Hall Country Day School, Tweed Airport Authority, the Regional Leadership Council, the Connecticut Tennis Foundation and Southern Connecticut State University Foundation where she is also Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mrs. Wishnafski also serves as a member of the National Arts Stabilization Committee for Greater New Haven. She is Past Chairman of several organizations including the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, South Central Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Fund for Women & Girls at the Community Foundation Of Greater New Haven, and the Regional Growth Partnership; and she also held the position of Vice Chair of the Commercial Banking Committee for American Community Bankers in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Anderson has served as a director since July 1994 and as Chairman of the Board from December 1997 to March 2000. Mr. Anderson served as Chief Executive Officer of Open Solutions from December 1997 to November 1999 and as President from October 1995 to December 1997. Since November 1999, Mr. Anderson has served as a director and President of the Savings Bank of Manchester, a community bank. Eric A. Marziali is the President and CEO of United Abrasives, Inc., a leading manufacturer of abrasive products used in the welding, industrial, construction, and automotive sectors. United Abrasives is headquartered in Willimantic, Connecticut with offices in the U.S., Canada, Italy, Paris, London, and Spain. Mr. Marziali was a member of the Board of Directors of the Savings Bank of Manchester, Connecticut Bancshares, Inc. from 1998 until the company's acquisition by NewAlliance Bank in 2004. He is a former Chairman of the Yankee Chapter of the Young President's Organization (YPO). With the University of Connecticut, he endowed two full scholarships for both men and women athletes. He is also a Director for St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford and has been involved in many community organizations and local and national charities including Windham Hospital and Kingswood Oxford School.

Gerald B. Rosenberg is the retired Senior Vice-President, Executive Development for Bayer HealthCare. He was responsible for the coaching and development of key senior executives in North America. Previously, Mr. Rosenberg was Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Bayer Diagnostics, responsible for the operation of the North American Diagnostics business of Bayer Corporation. Mr. Rosenberg's career with Bayer Corporation spanned over thirty years through positions of increased responsibility within a complex global public company. Mr. Rosenberg is also the Past Chairman of the National Pharmaceutical Council Executive Committee and the former General Campaign Chair of the United Way of Greater New Haven.

Julia M. McNamara has been the President of Albertus Magnus College since 1982. She is the Vice-Chairman and former Chairman of the Yale-New Haven Hospital Board of Trustees and the Chairman of the Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation. She also serves on the Board of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. Dr. McNamara has received numerous awards for community recognition and leadership including the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award and the New Haven Historical Society Seal of the City Award. She was inducted into the Junior Achievement Free Enterprise Hall of Fame, has received gubernatorial appointments to the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities and the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority, and she was awarded the Wilbur L. Sheila B. Flanagan is an attorney with thirty years experience in corporate and government practice, having spent over twenty years as Counsel at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. which included involvement in taxation, compliance, policy design, and the coordination of IRS and State audits. Ms. Flanagan later served as a consultant to Massachusetts Mutual Life on merger issues. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Savings Bank of Manchester, Connecticut Bancshares Inc. from 1987 until the company's acquisition by NewAlliance Bank in 2004. She is also the Executive Director of the SBM Charitable Foundation.
