John H. Jasek is Vice President - Gulf Coast. This division is comprised of Newfield's Gulf of Mexico and onshore Gulf Coast asset teams. Jasek was previously Vice President - Gulf of Mexico. He has led the Company's Gulf of Mexico team since joining the organization in 2000. Prior to joining Newfield, Jasek worked for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Amoco Production Company. Jasek is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Petroleum Institute. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering.

was named Chief Executive Officer at the Company's Annual Meeting in May 2009. He also was elected by Newfield's stockholders as a member of the Company's Board of Directors. The Board previously named Boothby to the role of President in February 2009. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President - Acquisitions and Business Development. From 2002 - 2007, he was Vice President - Mid-Continent. Boothby was responsible for leading Newfield's development of the growing Woodford Shale Play in southeastern Oklahoma, along with other resource plays that have led to this division's significant growth. From 1999-2001, Boothby was Managing Director - Newfield Exploration Australia Ltd. and managed the Company's operations in the Timor Sea (divested in 2003) from Perth, Australia. Prior to joining Newfield in 1999, Boothby worked for Cockrell Oil Corporation, British Gas and Tenneco Oil Company. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Independent Petroleum Association of America. He serves as a member of the OERB (Oklahoma Energy Resources Board). Boothby holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and an M.B.A. from Rice University.

Mr. Grabb is a Registered Petroleum geologist and has served as a director since May 3, 2007. Mr. Grabb has worked as Senior District Geologist for Samson Investment Company, a large privately held exploration and production company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since March 2007 and previously served as a geologist for Newfield Exploration from April 2003 to March 2007. He was an integral member of the Newfield Exploration Geologic Team that conceptualized and commercialized the resource plays that have driven Newfield's growth. Mr. Grabb holds B.zS. and M.S. Degrees in geology from Montana State University. Mr. Grabb is also a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Dennis R. Hendrix has served as a Director since July 1997 and was appointed as the Lead Director in December 2002. From November 1990 until his retirement in April 1997, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of PanEnergy Corp. ("PanEnergy") and as PanEnergy's Chief Executive Officer from November 1990 until April 1995. Mr. Hendrix was President and Chief Executive Officer of Texas Eastern Corporation from 1986 to 1989. Mr. Hendrix also serves on the Boards of Directors of Newfield Exploration Company and Grant Prideco Inc.

Mr. Strange has served as one of our directors since October 2003. In 2002, Mr. Strange retired from KPMG, LLP, an independent accounting firm, where he served from 1996 to 2002 as Vice Chairman, Managing Partner of U.S. Audit Practice and head of KPMG s internal risk management program. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Strange served as Global Managing Partner of Audit Business and a member of KPMG s International Executive Committee. During his 34-year career at KPMG, his work included interaction with the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the SEC, testifying before both bodies on issues impacting the auditing profession and SEC registrants. Mr. Strange serves on the Boards of Directors and the Audit Committees of New Jersey Resources Corporation, a retail and wholesale energy service provider, Newfield Exploration Company, an oil and gas exploration and production company, BearingPoint, Inc., a business consulting, systems integration and managed services firm, and SLM Corporation (Sallie Mae), a leading provider of student loans and an administrator of college savings plans.

Mr. Netherland served as Chairman of the Board of FMC Technologies from December 2001 until his retirement in October 2008. Mr. Netherland also served as Chief Executive Officer of FMC Technologies from 2001 to March 2007, when he retired as an executive officer of the Company. Mr. Netherland was President of FMC Technologies from 2001 to February 2006. Previously, Mr. Netherland served as a director of FMC Corporation from 1998 to 2001 and as Executive Vice President of FMC Corporation from 1998 until his appointment as President. Mr. Netherland was the General Manager of FMC Corporation’s Energy and Transportation Group from 1992 to 2001. Mr. Netherland became General Manager of FMC Corporation’s former Petroleum Equipment Group and General Manager of its former Specialized Machinery Group in 1985 and 1989, respectively. Mr. Netherland will continue to serve as a non-independent member of FMC Technologies' Board of Directors. He also serves on the Boards of Directors of the American Petroleum Institute, the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association, Newfield Exploration Company and Tidewater Inc. Additionally, Mr. Netherland is a member of the Advisory Board of the Department of Engineering at Texas A&M University.

Philip J. Burguieres serves as Chairman of Southern States Land & Timber LLC. He has been active in the management of the J. M. Burguieres Companies for over 30 years. Mr. Burguieres also serves as Vice Chairman of the Houston Texans Football Franchise. He serves as Chairman and CEO of EMC Holdings, LLC, an investment management company specializing in oil services and exploration and production industries. Additionally, he serves as Chairman Emeritus of Weatherford International, an international energy company. Until 1996, Burguieres was Weatherford International's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Weatherford in 1990, Burguieres was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Panhandle Eastern Corporation. He worked for 20 years at Cameron Iron Works, Inc., an international oil service company, where he served as Chairman and CEO for ten years. Burguieres is on the board of directors at Newfield Exploration Company, Weatherford International and J.P. Morgan Chase. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of The J.M. Burguieres Co., Ltd. (a family-owned limited partnership). He is a member of the National Petroleum Council, the World's President's Organization, is past president of the Petroleum Club of Houston, the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association and past chairman of the National Ocean Industries Association. In May of 2000, Burguieres was awarded the prestigious Ima Hogg Award from the Mental Health Association of Greater Houston and was the 2003 recipient of the National Mental Health Association William Styron Award. He is a Director of Catholic Charities, The Mental Health Association, M.D. Anderson, The Texas Heart Institute and Menninger. A native of Franklin, La., Burguieres graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Louisiana, where a Chair in the engineering department has been named in his honor. He was a recipient of his alma mater's Outstanding Alumni Award in 1992. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. Burguieres received his master's in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He and his late wife Cheryl have two children, Emily and Martial.

Mr. Burguieres has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EMC Holdings, LLC since 2000. Mr. Burguieres is Vice Chairman of the Houston Texans, Chairman of The J.M. Burguieres Co., Ltd., and Chairman Emeritus of Weatherford International. From 1981 to 1989, Mr. Burguieres served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cameron Iron Works, Inc. Mr. Burguieres served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Weatherford International from 1991 to 1997. Mr. Burguieres currently serves as a director of Newfield Exploration Company.
