Mr. Albin is co-Chief Executive Officer of NGP having been involved with the Natural Gas Partners investment funds since the inception of the initial fund in 1988. He is responsible for co-managing the investment portfolio of the NGP funds and investment sourcing and monitoring with Mr. Hersh. Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Albin was a partner in the Bass Investment Limited Partnership. Prior to that time, Mr. Albin was a member of the oil and gas group in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Albin serves on the board of Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. and numerous private oil and gas companies. He graduated with a B.S. in Physics in 1981 and an M.B.A. in 1985, both from Stanford University.

Mr. Gardner is our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. He has over 13 years experience in financial and transactional management in the oil and gas industry, including participation in over $9 billion in corporate finance, merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions. Prior to joining NGP Capital Resources Company, Mr. Gardner served as Chief Financial Officer of Dunhill Resources, a private exploration and production company that operated in the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to Dunhill Resources, Mr. Gardner served as Chief Financial Officer of Mesa Inc., predecessor to Pioneer Natural Resources. Mr. Gardner graduated summa cum laude from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and earned a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia University.

Christopher O. Ryals, Director, joined NGP Capital Resources Company in 2005. Mr. Ryals is responsible for originating, evaluating, executing and client management. Mr. Ryals has more than eight years experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance and business development in the energy sector. Prior to NGP Capital, Mr. Ryals served as Director of Finance for Trico Marine and helped the company successfully complete its Chapter 11 filing and reorganization. Prior to Trico Marine, Mr. Ryals was an Associate at Aquilex, a First Reserve leveraged buyout platform targeting acquisitions in the energy services sectors. Mr. Ryals began his career as an Analyst in Deutsche Bank’s Global Energy Investment Banking Group. Mr. Ryals graduated with a B.S., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.

Jeffrey H. Hubbard (Hans), Director, joined NGP Capital Resources Company in 2004. Mr. Hubbard is responsible for originating, evaluating, executing and client management. Mr. Hubbard has more than eight years of energy industry experience including extensive commodity, structuring, and valuation experience with Entergy Wholesale Operations and Entergy-Koch Trading (now Merrill Lynch Global Commodities). Prior to the energy industry, Mr. Hubbard spent over four years as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army including deployment to Haiti for Operation Uphold Democracy and graduation from U. S. Army Ranger School. Mr. Hubbard received an M.B.A. from the Jesse H. Jones School of Management at Rice University and a B.A. in Economics from Trinity University.

Mary Ann Birchfield, Vice President, Controller and Assistant Secretary, is primarily responsible for our financial accounting and reporting. Prior to joining NGPC, she spent nine years at Range Resources Corporation managing the accounting and treasury functions of their producer finance division. Ms. Birchfield has more than 29 years of diversified experience in financial reporting and cash management of public and private entities. Ms. Birchfield graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Houston Chapter and Texas Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Paula J. Williams, Vice President and Assistant Secretary, has been with NGP Capital Resources Company since its founding in 2004. Ms. Williams is responsible for Loan Operations, Administration and Human Resources. Prior to joining NGPC, Ms. Williams worked at Deutsche Bank in its Mezzanine Energy Investment Group. Ms. Williams also has more than 19 years of banking experience focusing on energy lending, international private banking and operations with Bank of America. Ms. Williams graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Houston, Clear Lake.

R. Kelly Plato, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, has over 14 years of investment management, corporate finance, engineering, and general management experience in the energy industry. He serves on the governing boards of five of our portfolio companies, Rubicon Energy Partners, LLC, Resaca Exploitation, Inc. (LSEAIM:RSOX), BioEnergy International, LLC, DeanLake Operator, LLC, and TierraMar Energy, LP. From March 2003 to February 2005, he was a partner of Odyssey Energy Capital, LP, a private capital provider to the energy industry and successor to Mirant Americas Energy Capital, LP. He graduated with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1992 and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1996.

Robert M. Sheffey, Vice President, joined NGP Capital Resources Company in 2006. Mr. Sheffey is responsible for the technical evaluation of NGPC’s potential and existing portfolio companies. Mr. Sheffey has more than seven years experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining NGP Capital Resources Company, he was employed at Hilcorp Energy Company and BJ Services. Mr. Sheffey has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas.

Mr. Kile has been active in the energy industry for over thirty years. He retired as the Chief Financial Officer of Energy Transfer Company (now Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. and Energy Transfer Equity, L.P.) in 2004. Prior to Energy Transfer, he served as Director, President and Chief Operating Officer of Prize Energy Corp. from 1999-2002. Before Prize, Mr. Kile was an Executive Vice President with Pioneer Natural Resources Company. During his 14 year history with Pioneer and its predecessor, Parker and Parsley Petroleum Company, he served in numerous financial and operating positions. Prior to 1985, he worked at Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young LLP). Mr. Kile earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University.
