This Noble prefers its materials to be raw. Noble Group Limited (SGX: NOBL), based in Hong Kong, is engaged in the supply of industrial raw materials, agricultural commodities, transport resources, coal and coke, and processes raw materials. It is also active in ship ownership and chartering, and the provision of technical ship management services. It links producers and consumers on a global basis, and provides trade finance, insurance, brokerage, and hedge fund marketing services. Founded in 1980, the company has about 70 offices in 30 countries and over 4,000 customers. 750 employees and revenue of $8.6 billion. During 2005 the company acquired ConAgra's interest in a Mid-East grains distribution business and 100% interest in a soya bean crushing plant in China. It also increased its equity in Donaldson,a coalmining company in Australia, by about 15% to 78.5% at a cost of approximately $4.5 million.
