Marjorie Scardino is Chief Executive of Pearson, the international education and media business made up of Pearson Education, Penguin and the Financial Times Group. Until January 1997, she was chief executive of The Economist Group (of which Pearson owns 50%), and, prior to 1985, she was a partner in a Savannah, Georgia law firm. With her husband, Albert Scardino, Marjorie founded and published the Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper, The Georgia Gazette. They have three children. Marjorie is a non-executive director of Nokia Corporation and a member of a number of charitable and advisory boards, including, The MacArthur Foundation, The Carter Center and The Victoria & Albert Museum.

Born August 15, 1950. A Finnish national, appointed Chairman of Royal Dutch Shell as from June 1, 2006. Previously he was Vice-President of International Operations of Nokia in 1985. In 1986 he was appointed Vice-President Finance of Nokia and served between 1990 and 1992 as President of Nokia Mobile Phones. Between 1992 and 1999 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Nokia and from 1999 to June 1, 2006 he was Chief Executive Officer of Nokia. Prior to joining Nokia, he started his career in banking at Citibank in London and Helsinki. Currently he is Chairman of the Board of Nokia, and Vice Chairman of UPM-Kymmene Corporation and Otava Books and Magazines Group Limited.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nokia as of June 1, 2006. Olli-Pekka joined Nokia in 1980 as Corporate Counsel, and has held roles of increasing responsibility since that time. In 1987 he was appointed Assistant Vice President, Legal Department, and in 1988 he was named Assistant Vice President, Finance. In 1990 he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance. In 1992, Olli-Pekka was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 1997-1998 he served as Corporate Executive Vice President, Nokia Americas, being responsible for all Nokia’s business operations in the Americas. He returned to the position of Chief Financial Officer at the beginning of 1999, the position he had held prior to moving to the United States. From 2004-2005 Kallasvuo was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Phones. On October 1, 2005 he was named President and COO before his appointment to the current position. Olli-Pekka has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 1990. On April 1, 2007, Olli-Pekka was appointed Chairman of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks. He also serves on the Board of EMC Corporation, the world-leading American information storage and management company. Kallasvuo was nominated as member of the Board of Directors of Nokia in May 2007. He holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki. Prior to joining Nokia, Olli-Pekka held a variety of positions with the Union Bank of Finland. Olli-Pekka was born on July 13, 1953, in Lavia, Finland. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, tennis and reading about political history.

Starting January 1, 2008, Mary T. McDowell is Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer leading the newly established Corporate Development Office. Mary is responsible for optimizing Nokia's strategic capabilities and growth potential and managing key operational functions. In the capacity of enabling Nokia’s future, she oversees Corporate Strategy, Nokia Research Center, and Corporate Business Development. She also oversees Nokia IT, Solutions Portfolio Management, Compatibility and Industry Collaboration, Mobile Software Sales and Marketing, and Operational Excellence and Quality, which are focused on managing operational elements of the integrated company. Mary is also a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2004. Mary joined Nokia in 2004 as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Solutions, with responsibility for the development and manufacturing of Nokia’s range of enterprise products and solutions. These included Nokia Eseries mobile business device range, mobility software, as well as security and mobile connectivity solutions. She was named of the 10 “Top Women in Wireless” in July 2008 by Fierce Wireless. A 17-year veteran of HP-Compaq, Mary has a track record of success in building new business and is widely respected as an industry innovator. Prior to joining Nokia, Mary served for five years as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Industry-Standard Servers at Hewlett Packard and Compaq, a multi- billion dollar business and the world's largest server franchise. In this role, Mary had worldwide P&L responsibility for HP's ProLiant server business, which held the number one position in a highly competitive market for over a decade. Previous assignments include vice president of marketing for the server products division, director of strategic planning and director of systems product marketing. She joined Compaq as a systems engineer in 1986. Mary was born on July 23, 1964. She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Illinois.

As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Richard A. Simonson has responsibility for group Finance and Control, Treasury, Investor Relations, Customer Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Improvement Services Team and Indirect Sourcing. Rick joined Nokia in 2001 as Vice President, Head of Customer Finance, negotiating and monitoring financial exposures and was responsible for finding third-party financing solutions for Nokia customers. In this capacity Rick was also instrumental in Nokia’s worldwide effort to assure the financial strength and flexibility of its four business groups going forward, while simultaneously serving the best interests of Nokia shareholders. Prior to joining Nokia, Rick held the key position of Managing Director, Telecom & Media Investment Banking Group, San Francisco, at Barclays Capital. Before this Rick spent 16 years at Bank of America Securities, where he climbed the career ladder and was appointed Managing Director & Head of Global Project Finance, Global Corporate & Investment Bank, San Francisco and Chicago, in 1999. Rick has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 2004. On April 1, 2007 he was appointed Member of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science and mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and a master’s degree in business administration and finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Rick was born August 26, 1958, in Middletown, Ohio, USA. He is married and has five children. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging, golf and downhill skiing.

Starting January 1, 2008, Anssi Vanjoki is Executive Vice President of the new Markets unit. In this function Anssi is responsible for sales, marketing, manufacturing and logistics of all Nokia products and services. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 1998. A highly respected brand and marketing authority, Anssi has been a visionary force in Nokia's efforts to address mobility markets. His work has focused on developing the Nokia brand and the convergence of mobility and the Internet. From 2004, he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Multimedia, with overall responsibility for the Nokia Nseries multimedia computer device fleet and Nokia services. Anssi joined Nokia in 1991 and was named Vice President, Sales, Nokia Mobile Phones, before his promotion in 1994 to Senior Vice President, Nokia Mobile Phones Europe and Africa. In 1998 he was made Executive Vice President, Nokia Mobile Phones Europe and Africa. In addition, in 1999, he took responsibility for Nokia's Digital Convergence Unit and, in 2002, also headed up the Business Unit Management. Anssi is the chairman of the board of Amer Sports Corporation, and was a member of the Governing Committee of the European Foundation for Quality Management 2001 - 2003. He is a Knight, 1st Class, of the Order of the White Rose of Finland and Commander of the Order of the White Rose of Finland. Prior to joining Nokia, he held a variety of management positions at the 3M Corporation. He holds a master's degree in economics from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration.

Starting November 1, 2008 Esko Aho is Executive Vice President, Corporate Relations and Responsibility. He heads Nokia's government and public affairs function, which includes the policies and activities for sustainable development and social responsibility. Esko is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board. Prior to joining Nokia, Esko has enjoyed a long and distinguished career serving Finnish society and politics, holding the post of Prime Minister of Finland from 1991 to 1995. After the 2000 presidential campaign, he joined Harvard University as a lecturer, and following his retirement from the Finnish Parliament, he worked as a private consultant. Esko was appointed President of the Finnish Innovation Fund, SITRA, from July 1, 2004. Esko was elected to Parliament in 1983, serving on several key committees, including the Grand Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Finance Committee, as well as serving on the Nordic Council and the Finnish Delegation to the Council of Europe. He has also been Vice-Chairman of Liberal International from 1994 to 2002, Chairman of the Finnish Ski Association from 1996 to 2000, and Vice-Chairman of the Finnish Olympic Committee from 1997 to 2000. More recently, Esko was appointed a Member of Board of Directors at Russian Venture Company from January 2007. He also serves as a Member of the Board at the Nordic power company Fortum Corporation since March 2006. From January 1, 2009 he will be Vice Chairman of the Board, Technology Industries of Finland. He is an invited member of the Club de Madrid, an independent organisation dedicated to strengthening democracy whose members are former heads of state and government, and the InterAction Council, an organisation consisting of former heads of state and government which seeks solutions to the economical, political and social problems confronting humanity. Esko was born in Veteli, Finland, in 1954 and holds a Masters Degree in Social Science from the University of Helsinki.

As Executive Vice President, Hallstein Moerk has global responsibility for all human resources activity including employee development, management and leadership development, compensation, benefits, staffing and global diversity.He also acts as the 'hosting manager' for Workplace Resources. This role involves helping Workplace Resources achieve their goals by being a discussion partner for WR Vice President Mark Tamburro and his leadership team. He accepted the position of Senior Vice President in 1999 after a 22-year career at Hewlett-Packard. There he moved through various positions from Controller, Hewlett-Packard A/S Norway, to Managing Director, European Multicountry Region. Prior to this Hallstein held different positions at Texas Instruments in Denmark and Norway. Hallstein has been a member of the Group Executive Board of Nokia since 2004. He holds a "Diplomekonom" degree from the Norwegian School of Management. Hallstein was born on September 26, 1953, in Halden, Norway. He is married and has three children. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing and outdoor activities especially in the rough Scandinavian terrain.

Starting January 1, 2008, Dr. Kai Öistämö holds the position of Executive Vice President of the new Devices unit, responsible for Nokia’s device portfolio, Research and Development, design and related strategy. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2005. In his previous role, Kai headed the Mobile Phones business group, which offered a world-leading range of mobile phones and devices, traditionally for mass market consumer segments. Kai joined Nokia in 1991, at the former Nokia Consumer Electronics unit, holding a number of managerial and technical positions until 1995, where he was appointed as Product Manager, Nokia Mobile Phones. In 1997, Kai was promoted to Vice President TDMA Business Line and in 2002, Kai was named Senior Vice President, Nokia Mobiles Phones, overseeing the Mobile Phones business unit. In January 2004 he was appointed Senior Vice President, Business Line Management, within the Mobile Phones business group. In this role, he held global business responsibility for a unit that defined, developed and marketed GSM and WCDMA products. Kai holds a Doctorate degree in technology and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the Tampere University of Technology in Finland. Kai was born on September 29, 1964 in Turku, Finland. He is married and has three children and enjoys various sports including tennis, skiing and golf.

Starting January 1, 2008, Niklas Savander is Executive Vice President of the new Services & Software unit. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2006. He joined Nokia in 1997 and has held a variety of senior business management, strategy, sales and marketing positions covering the device and network businesses. In his previous role as Executive Vice President, Technology Platforms, he was responsible for the centralized R&D execution, software and technology management as well as product creation processes across the company. In 2003, Niklas was appointed Senior Vice President, Mobile Devices Business Unit, Enterprise Solutions. He is the deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tamfelt Oyj and a Member of the Board and secretary of Waldemar von Frenckells Stiftelse. On April 1, 2007 Savander was also appointed as a Member of the Board of Nokia Siemens Networks. Prior to joining Nokia, he spent nine years with Hewlett-Packard in Finland, Germany and Switzerland. During this time, he held roles ranging from the position of account manager to leading the company’s Technical Systems Business for Europe, Middle East & Africa. He holds a Master’s degree in Science from the Helsinki University of Technology and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki. He is fluent in Swedish, English, German and Finnish.

Starting January 1, 2008, Robert Andersson is responsible for finance and strategy in the newly established Devices unit, a role which also covers responsibility for Nokia-wide sourcing. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2005. Robert has a long career at Nokia, having joined the company in 1985. He has held a number of managerial positions in the former Nokia Data, Nokia Consumer Electronics and more recently at Nokia’s mobile phones businesses, working in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, and Singapore. From 2005-2007 Robert was Executive Vice President of Customer and Market Operations organization, with responsibility for Nokia’s sales organization as well as manufacturing, logistics and sourcing for the entire range of Nokia devices. In 2004, Robert was appointed Senior Vice President of Customer and Market Operations in Europe, following a position from 2001-2004 as Senior Vice President of Nokia Mobile Phones in the Asia Pacific region. In 1998, Robert was Vice President of Sales for Nokia Mobile Phones in the Europe and Africa region. Between 1985 and 1998, Robert held various positions within Finance & Control. Robert has a Master of Science (Econ.) degree from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki, and a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Starting January 1, 2008, Tero Ojanperae holds the position of Executive Vice President, Entertainment and Communities. He is also a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2005. Entertainment and Communities will build on the desire for compelling, interactive mobile entertainment, as well as consumers’ growing needs to connect with others to discover and share a wide range of media. Tero has overall responsibility for Nokia offerings in music, video and TV, games, software distribution and social networking services. A sought-after industry commentator, author and speaker, he has played a defining role in the research and development work of Nokia’s business groups since joining the company in 1990. From 2006, he served as Chief Technology Officer, a wide ranging role spanning corporate and technology strategy, strategic alliances and partnerships, research, standardization, intellectual property rights, venturing, Mobile Software sales and marketing, Forum Nokia developer activities, business infrastructure and Industry Relations. In 2005, Tero held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. During 2003-2004 he headed Nokia Research Center, a corporate research unit driving Nokia’s technological competitiveness and renewal. Prior to this role, he held several senior management positions in the former Nokia Networks. He holds a master’s of science degree from the University of Oulu, Finland and a Ph.D degree from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Tero was born Nov 12, 1966, in Korsnaes, Finland. Biography Starting January 1, 2008, Timo Ihamuotila is responsible for Nokia’s global sales within the new Markets unit. He is a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board, a position held since 2007, when appointed Executive Vice President, Sales and Portfolio Management, Mobile Phones. Prior to that role, Timo held the position of Senior Vice President, at Nokia’s CDMA business unit, an integral part of the Mobile Phones business group. In this position, Timo was responsible for the financial results and the overall strategic direction of Nokia’s global CDMA operations, based at Nokia’s CDMA facility in San Diego, California. He joined Nokia in 1993 as Manager for Dealing & Risk Management. In 1999, after a 3 year period away from the company, he rejoined Nokia and was appointed as Director of Corporate Finance, and in 2000 was named Vice President Finance, Corporate Treasurer of Nokia Corporation, Group Treasury. He served as Corporate Treasurer until summer of 2004. Prior to joining Nokia, he worked as Analyst in Asset and Liability Management for the Kansallis Bank, Helsinki and from 1996 to 1999 he worked for Citibank Plc as Vice President of Nordic Derivates Sales. Timo graduated from Helsinki School of Economics and holds a degree of Master of Science (Economics) and Licentiate of Science (Finance), having completed all doctoral courses in Finance. Timo is married and has three children and enjoys reading, tennis, skiing and spending time with his family.

During her twenty years at Nokia, Ulla has held several finance and marketing positions in Finland, UK and US. In her current role as Head of Finance and Strategic Marketing, Ulla is responsible for Finance and Strategic Marketing for Nokia IPR operations globally. Nokia IPR function, consisting of about 200 IPR professionals, manages Nokia patent assets centrally as an investment portfolio bringing tangible business benefits for Nokia. Nokia has been building its IPR portfolio over the last 15 years by investing over EUR 25 billion in Research & Development. The importance of IPR in Nokia's business is crucial and increasing as a result of the high level of R&D investment and rapid technological development. Nokia's current IPR portfolio consists of close to 11,000 patent families attesting Nokia's very strong IPR position across all major cellular standards, data applications and User Interface. Ulla has M.Sc. (ME) in Technology from Tampere University of Technology (1985) and M.B.A. from Helsinki School of Economics (1988).

Prof. Dr. Henning Kagermann, b. 1947 CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of SAP AG. Board member since May 3, 2007. Member of the Personnel Committee. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PhD in Theoretical Physics (Technical University of Brunswick). Co-chairman of the Executive Board of SAP 1998-2003. A number of leadership positions in SAP since 1982. Member of SAP Executive Board since 1991. Taught physics and computer science at the Technical University of Brunswick and the University of Mannheim 1980–1992, became professor in 1985. Keijo Suila, b. 1945 Board member since 2006. Member of the Audit Committee. B.Sc. (Econ. and Bus. Adm.) (Helsinki University of Economics and Business Administration). President and CEO of Finnair Oyj 1999-2005. Chairman of oneworld airline alliance 2003-2004 and member of various international aviation and air transportation associations 1999-2005. Holder of various executive positions, including Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President, at Huhtamäki Oyj, Leaf Group and Leaf Europe 1985-1998. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Solidium Oy and The Finnish Fair Corporation. Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kesko Corporation.

Lalita D. Gupte retired as Joint Managing Director and Member of the Board of ICICI Bank Limited at the end of October 2006. ICICI BANK is India's largest private sector bank. Mrs. Gupte was responsible for setting up the International business of ICICI Bank since 2001. She is now Chairperson of ICICI Venture Funds Management Co. Ltd. Mrs. Gupte has more than three decades of experience in the financial sector, beginning her career with the erstwhile ICICI Limited in 1971 in the project appraisal division. Since then she has held various leadership positions in areas of Corporate and Retail Banking, Strategy, and Resources, International Banking, and other areas. She was elevated to the post of Joint Managing Director of ICICI in June 1999, a position she then held in the merged ICICI Bank. In 2006, Mrs. Gupte was ranked 93rd in the Forbes "Most Powerful Women in the World List." Her achievements have also been recognized by The Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence where Mrs Gupte and colleagues -- "The Women Behind ICICI" -- were collectively awarded "Business Woman of the Year 2004-2005." She has also received numerous other awards for her contribution to the financial sector. Mrs. Gupte serves on the Boards of Nokia Corporation, Bharat Forge Ltd, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, and FirstSource Solutions Ltd. She is also a Member of the Board of Management of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management & Higher Studies (Deemed University).

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Nokia Corporation, Blyk Ltd., Ekahau Inc., Nexit Ventures Oy, Efecte Corporation and Valimo Wireless Oy.
